My husband and I have just returned from a two-week stay at The Beachfront at The Fives, and we were absolutely blown away. After reading some mixed reviews before arriving, we weren’t quite sure what to expect — but the experience completely exceeded our expectations.
This hotel is the perfect place to truly unwind and switch off. There’s no rushing, no pressure to leave your table quickly for the next guests — it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We did notice that some people became frustrated with the pace of service at times, but honestly the staff are doing everything they can. You’re on holiday — just relax and enjoy it! Coming from the UK, slightly slower service is quite normal to us, so if you’re reading this before your stay, just keep that in mind and try not to get annoyed with the people who are there to look after you.
Yes, there is building work going on next door. They can’t work around everyone’s holiday schedule — they still have a job to do. Unless you plan on staying in your room all day, you may hear it from time to time, but it honestly didn’t affect our stay at all.
The food at Santa Sirena was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even the poolside specials were all fantastic. We’re still dreaming about the short rib croquettes and the filet mignon!
Our room was spotless the entire stay. Julia did an amazing job — every evening we returned to a lovely turndown service and a few truffles waiting for us, which was such a nice touch. The mini fridge was fully restocked every day as well (I can’t remember the mini-fridge attendant’s name, but thank you!).
We also booked a Bali bed for a day and it was incredible. The food, the service, and the overall experience made it such a special day. We would highly recommend doing this if you’re staying there.
If we had to suggest a couple of small improvements, it would be to add a bit more seating outside in the evenings. The acoustic music was lovely, but the area is quite small so it can feel a little loud at times. It would also be helpful to be given a bit more information on arrival. We arrived quite late due to travel delays, so I completely understand that we probably didn’t get the full welcome experience, but we weren’t aware that you needed to book a table at Santa Sirena and initially thought you could just turn up. So it’s worth keeping that in mind, especially if you’re travelling as a larger group.
Every single member of staff went above and beyond, but a few who really stood out were Gustavo, Erik, Betsi, Richard, Ricardo, Jalah, Jorge, Bruno, and Yeremi.
Overall, a 10/10 experience — and we would go back without hesitation!
