I was relieved that there weren’t any programs (zumba, pool games, etc.) that bud into just laying and enjoying the sound of beach waves. The sister hotel has all of that so if you want it’s just next door. There were mounds of seaweed this time around so we didn’t get to swim in the ocean but even then we had an amazing time. This vacation was meant for me to rest and I did just that. A few things to keep in mind: There are no elevators as this is ment to be a small resort but it should only be a problem if you have a hard time taking stairs. If you don’t like something, then speak up, trust me they want you to have a good time here so if you want some something, ask. I like that they use WhatsApp for information and requests. Streamlines everything quite nicely. You’re not running around looking for someone to bring a drink or an extra towel. If you’re not accustomed to eating raw meat (like beef tartar), then stay away from that. Depending on your stomach, it might not be worth it. Or be ready for the consequences. I can’t wait to come back! Read less

Would highly recommend this resort if you want to feel totally pampered and have complete relaxation. So quiet, small and peaceful. The service is incredible, they will take care of any need & make anything custom for you. Really great food at the restaurant plus a cookout by the pool for lunch each day. And live music at dinner!

My wife & I went late June for 12 nights booking through On The Beach online for an early Wedding Anniversary at this 4-Star All inclusive resort. I booked -or so I thought- a suite that was ground floor, which enabled walking straight out onto the Beach. Described in our booking as an 'Epic Beachfront Superior suite. On arrival & allocation, it was anything but. On the first floor of a 3 storey block (no lift), this was a bedroom with a balcony that overlooked the pool directly above the restaurant. I did state to 'Management' that this is not what I booked online, but was told it was. (I will be taking this up with 'On The Beach') It's saving grace was an incredibly comfortable bed/mattress, but that is where it stops. The bathroom was no more than a corridor with a sink & at the entrance, a waterfall shower opposite, which became like an ice-rink when used. We had to request a rubber mat, as both of us nearly went 'a cropper' first use. There was no flexible shower arm, & not all the full shower head nozzles dispensed water. There was no grab rail either which was a definite must considering the floor. Towards the opposite end of this corridor was a couple of shelves, above a mini-fridge, & then at the end the toilet. This had a loose fitting cistern lid, was of child height, with cheap plastic seat & lid that were not soft-closure. The flush was so weak, that it took 3 attempts on nearly every occasion, to empty the bowl. There wasn't even a hook on the door if entering with a robe on. We would also recommend taking your own paper as the hotel provided one comes in two thicknesses...thin & eugh! In the room was the large bed, 3 suite case stands, plenty of wall art, a larger than needed (for size of room) tv, but no long length mirror. The only mirror being above the sink. Floor to ceiling patio doors led to a balcony with standard table & 2 chairs offering a super view of the pool area & the sea. The final point on the room, which even Elite Ambassador Jazmine agreed on, was the very, very poor room lighting! All very low wattage orange. Attempting she said to go for the romantic angle. Fine, but it needs an over-ide option. It really was that dark. Meals at The Beachfront ( sister hotel The Fives) have to be booked a minimum of 24 hrs in advance. The food at the restaurant was very good, but repetitive. The same meal choices from a set menu for breakfast, lunch & dinner, but they did do very good theme evenings on Monday (Italian) Wednesday (Mexican) & Friday (Thai) repeated the following week. Surely even the chef must get bored of this, soyes, the guests will as well. Hence the use of their sister hotel, but that place should be on a separate review They also has poolside BBQ everyday with steaks one day, shrimp & seafood another, hamburgers...etc. Shall we say that the level of cooking of foodstuffs was hit & miss. Out of all the days we were there, the best was a lunchtime 'Catch of the Day' comprising langoustines, Red Snapper & Bass. The bar looks like it was an afterthought addition. Wat to small, with only bar stools, & could have been anywhere. It needed to be made to be a focal point. A full blown Mexican bar that people would go to after their meal instead of back to their room or going over to the sister hotel. There is plenty of room to extend it & make it buzzing. When it rained (2 very heavy downpours) everyone just ran to their room, instead of the bar...missed opportunity. Access to the pool, beach, bar, restaurant are all via a steep set of steps. If (like me) you have dodgy knees, these steps became problematic. In fact there was no disabled access at all. One person from the sister hotel was brought down the delivery passage to the bar. He & his chair was lifted by staff down a step so as to gain entry to the restaurant. On leaving, there was no staff around, his family had him partially out of his wheelchair, & I went out to assist him/them so that he could then access the service slope back out. The waiting staff bringing your drinks to poolside (Jeronimo & Lucas), the guys behind the bar (Kevin making the best Margueritas ever) & the waiters/waitresses in the restaurant (Jorge take a bow) are truly great, & will go out of their way to accommodate. The pool was nice & well maintained - no depth indicators or grab rails, but at it's deepest was only about 4'6". The hotel have what's called Elite Ambassador's that will do anything within their power to make you stay as good as they hope. Thank's to Jazmine, Melky & Miriam for their assistance. Indeed when we asked about the possibility of a room upgrade ( to the one I still believe I booked, Melky was unable to do that, but did offer the presidential suite at a very good rate, however we could not accept as this was up even more stairs on the 3rd floor (as I stated earlier, bad legs & no lift), we had to decline this This made I know with some of the points raised - some of you will say we're nit-picking, or expect too much, but after Sandals Barbados (see review in 2023) & this, it shows that European hotel standards vastly superior. Yes we recommend it overall, great staff, great views, but the room, & repetitive food menus let it down slightly. Read less

For reference I've stayed at over 30 all-inclusives as it's the only way I travel, some mid priced like the riu, ocean, and princess brands and some high end like majestic, palace, hyatt, sls brands. For reference I've stayed at over 30 all-inclusives as it's the only way I travel, some mid priced like the riu, ocean, and princess brands and some high end like majestic, palace, hyatt, sls brands. With that being said I have to say that this resort ranks NUMBER 1 in all my stays and it's because of 1 reason: THE SERVICE! Once you check in you're assigned a trio of concierges that assist you basically all day/night, and by assist I mean WITH EVERYTHING within reason! We were a party of 9 and every one of us is still missing Melky, Jazmin, and Miriam! They were friendly, smiling all the time, never made us feel like we were bothering them with our numerous whatsapp requests!🤣 We have never felt so warmly cared for at any other resort! So trust me, if it's service you're looking for this is the resort for you! The poolside lunches with the grill were my favorite...good quality food cooked right there! I ate my weight in steaks (t bone, ribeye), fresh fish (snapper, grouper), and chicken wings! The on-site restaurant santa sirena was good too...service was a little hit and miss at first, but once they got in to the right rhythm, it was mostly "hit"! The cokes in the mini fridge with the red tops were stellar! The snacks were a great touch too. They have room service, but I never utilized it. The TV is a smart tv, and I was able to watch Netflix because someone had not signed theirs out, BUT there needs to be more English speaking options to watch...literally all the HBO, cinemax, tnt, etc were in Spanish day and night...very frustrating for a tv watcher like me! Ijs The ONE thing they need to address ASAP besides the tv issue is the lack of a hand held shower head (some of the rooms have them, mine did not). That rain shower head was so inconvenient because I had to contort my body to get clean without wetting my hair! Hated it! PLEASE FIX THAT ASAP! Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Pool: 8/10 (could be bigger) Beach: 6/10 ( bad seaweed) So we will definitely return to this resort and we've never doubled back to any other resort before!
