As well as sporting activities, there are cultural activities and a spa in which to feel truly pampered. Image of the Tripadvisor rating A Wonderful Day at Banana Beach – Even for a Nervous Boater!

I’ll start by admitting that I’m terrified of boats and usually get seasick just floating on a lilo! But my family has visited Banana Beach many times and finally persuaded me to give it a go. I’ll start by admitting that I’m terrified of boats and usually get seasick just floating on a lilo! But my family has visited Banana Beach many times and finally persuaded me to give it a go. So much of this experience comes down to trust, and knowing Jay from the beach at Cape Panwa Hotel gave me that confidence. His care and kindness towards guests is always clear, so I knew I’d be in safe hands. From the moment we met at hotel reception, Jay made sure everyone felt comfortable and looked after. He was attentive as we boarded the boat, ensuring everyone was at ease. To my surprise, the ride to Banana Beach was actually enjoyable! Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, guided to our designated seats, and provided with snorkels and masks. The crystal-clear water offered a stunning view of the vibrant marine life, it was like peeking into another world. Lunch from the beach bar was delicious and very reasonably priced. Before we headed back, Jay let us know that due to a change in weather, we’d be returning directly to the hotel rather than stopping for a second snorkelling spot. That thoughtful update just reinforced how professional and safety-conscious he is. I had a fantastic day; far beyond my expectations, and I’m already planning to go again during my next visit to Cape Panwa Hotel in November! Read less

It's so nice to find a hotel who seem to retain staff for many years. Happy staff means happy customers. ! The beach was perfect this visit, beach staff led by Sandy were really attentive. There's a good choice on the menu at Bamboo Bar on the beach and regular beer promotions and specials to keep drinks costs lower ! The food generally this trip has been excellent and I would say better than last year when it was still good. This year though it's been great. The Andaman cafe breakfast with AonAon has a wide selection of European and Asian breakfast treats as well as egg and omelette stations and a special Thai dish for the day. AonAon also served is afternoon tea after some of our party upgraded to the Cape Absolute. She is always so friendly yet professional. The afternoon tea was really tasty and completely different from the ones in the UK. Thank you Aon Aon and Sandy for all your attention and also to Pim and Maggie on reception for all their help with our arrangements . We have already booked for our next trip and can't wait ! The on-site facilities were great, multiples pools, beach access and the restaurants were outstanding. The service was always on point from all staff, but Hazel always went above and beyond and provided top tier service. Daily cheap shuttles to offsite areas. Close to many places to get a massage. Some small showers this time of year but only last 10 or so minutes and would go away. Over all terrific stay. Read less
