The hotel

Just a 10 minute drive from Tampa International Airport, this hotel is a great place to stop on your journey into the gulf coast, before you head off to one of many famous beaches. Connected by the causeway, there’s easy access to Clearwater, so you can have your feet in that soft white sand in no time. You don’t need to leave the hotel to get views of the water though, watch the bayside sunsets from your room, or whilst dining at the waterfront grill, sipping on your favourite cocktail.

291 guest rooms and suites across 7 floors, all with air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi access, 55-inch LCD TV, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, bathroom amenities, and hairdryer. 

Standard Rooms feature two queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Pool and Bay View Rooms with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Sunset View Rooms with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Bay View Patio rooms are located on the ground floor with a private patio, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Suites feature a separate living room with sofa bed, wet bar area with mini fridge and microwave, and bedroom with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 6 people. 

BLUFIN Waterfront Grill (casual all-day dining, with indoor and outdoor seating).

Best staff very inventive. Nice to have a restaurant right in the hotel. Great location. Comfortable room, bed and pillows. Great pool! Perfect temperature Beautiful scenery. As always cookies are delicious! Thank you for a great weekend.

Lori helped me out so much!!! I needed a band-aid and she went above and beyond! The hospitality at rocky point is top notch every time we stay here and I am so thankful we get to enjoy their company on our over night stays when we get to. She really saved me from ruining my uniform! Lol

Chelsea and Debra had everything I had asked for. The rooms were wonderful had a nice view of the water from the front suite and the bedroom, rooms are up to date and very spacious, Thank you so much Chelsee and Debra the view and room are excellent

The pool is AWESOME, and the deck overlooking it is also terrific, and excellent for meetings. Everyone was extremely hospitable. In particular, the ever-patient Roy, the energetic, efficient and joyous Christine (both front desk) and George, at the Blu-Fin restaurant/bar were gracious, professional, and made things very easy. We also enjoyed the Blu-Fin food. (Try the crab cakes, and the tuna seviche, if you like seafood that is not necessarily freshly caught, but wonderfully prepared). From the cleaning crew to the front desk to the people who keep everything well-manicured and managed, we have only great things to say. And, again, the POOL, overlooking the waterway into Tampa Bay (and its occasional dolphins) is fabulous! Read less

It was a wonderful experience. The venue is terrific and loved hanging all day by the pool. Ash was so helpful and professional. She’s a gem! The man at the desk, gray haired man don’t know his name was Mr personality and also so helpful. Grateful
