My family and I have loved this hotel and will be sad in many ways to move hotels tomorrow. The facilities are excellent. We have used the pool which is immaculate and generally quiet during the day. The food at the pool bar was exceptional and great value when you’ve previously bought lunch in the Universal parks. Get the nachos- outstanding and more than enough for two to share! Some new flooring going down so the reception was a little cramped around a couple of the desks but not a major issue. Got our park tickets in the hotel and loved Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. The Universal Express pass element of the tickets helped at the parks but no queues seemed too bad. We had a double queen room and it’s been perfect. Plenty big enough for our family of 4 with 2 young children. Fridge in room is a welcome feature. Big shower. Useful safe and clothes line in shower are nice when on a longer stay. Lots of floor space for your bags but also a large cupboard and multiple drawers. Loads of power points. We had a great view too from Tower 2. The resort is vast! 5-10 minute walk to the main two parks. Shuttle buses to water park and Epic (avoid- read the reviews) and other restaurants we didn’t use. Food at the market overpriced and not if the best quality but didn’t detract from an exceptional stay. Hotel happy with Instacart deliveries (get yourself water for your fridge) or takeaways (user UberEats to get a local Dominos one night which was brilliant) and plenty of guests are coming back with takeaways or meeting delivery drivers at the front door. Brilliant stay at a great resort and would highly recommend to others. Would love to come back. Read less

Visited royal pacific last year and was very impressed with the staff and club level facilities, so being our 30th anniversary I suggested going over budget and returning to this hotel this year. On arrival we were greeted nicely by Julian but could hardly hear him as work was being carried out in the main lobby. We explained it was our anniversary and we were promptly given a badge with felt tip pen saying anniversary. We priced up an upgrade to club level and although it was 337 dollars I thought it would be a nice treat for my wife and daughter, wow big mistake, the food was actually inedible!! Chicken tenders that could break bricks. Mac and cheese that could set bricks, coffee machine useless, staff ok but not like last year. Not friendly or unfriendly just there. A big difference from last year. When I came to check out, we found that the 337 dollars for the upgrade had been taken twice !!!!. And would not return to our card for 10 days, severely impacting our spending money for the remaining time on holiday. My wife was in tears . How can two years be so different and an anniversary ruined for us. I’m hoping for some correspondence to explain what went wrong. Read less

Wanting to give a shoutout to Jason Drews at the front desk and Heather Gordon during the breakfast service I believe at Jakes. This is my family's first time staying on Property and they truly made them feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure this.

Loews Royal Pacific is an upscale hotel and you can definitely feel that as soon as you pull into the hotel. We were met with a very friendly valet attendant who made sure to take care of all our luggage’s and gave each of us a lei. Upon checking in, the hotel lobby is a beauty. We were assisted by Trevor and Cornell during check in and both were very courteous people. Unfortunately there was an issue with our reservation as we had booked using a third party who apparently did not book the 2 King Suites that we had paid for. A supervisor named Sergio was called to speak to me and he came off very rude and made me feel unwelcome. He also kept mentioning that I received a discounted rate - which I did not appreciate being disclosed in public. Besides these rooms still cost me almost $1000 each for one night stay. Although he finally agreed to put us in 1 king suite, the interaction really put me off and I expressed this to the front desk agent who was helping me. That’s when I found out that there’s been plenty others that have complained and he was glad that I had brought it up to him instead of reaching out later. He had a manager named Mary who was very apologetic and agreed that the treatment we received was uncalled for. She even sent our room with a bottle of wine and snacks to help us feel better. However, I continued to have issues with the booking partner I used, who lied and said the hotel told them that the reason our king rooms were downgraded was to accommodate our request to be together which was a lie. I reached out to the hotel again and this time, I was connected to another manager named Tatiana who went above and beyond in trying to assist me with dealing w the 3rd party. Tatiana was kind enough to respond to an email I sent her where she confirmed that we were never booked for 2 king suites & that the 3rd party booked us for regular queen rooms and should take accountability for their mistake. I truly appreciate her going out of her way to help me with this. The minus one star is due to third room we booked was a double bed water view but we only got a new of trees covering the window. Honest Review of Loews Royal Pacific Resort (June 30–July 2) We stayed at Loews Royal Pacific from June 30 to July 2, expecting a seamless experience at a premier Universal resort—but unfortunately, it turned into a bit of a chaotic stay. Check-in was anything but smooth. Around 7 a.m., while upgrading and checking in, the hotel’s systems went down. We couldn’t receive our room keys, which also act as Unlimited Express Passes—a major perk of staying here. After waiting 30 minutes with no solution, we were told to handwrite our names on paper passes. This caused confusion and pushback in several express lines throughout the day. I received an email midday saying the systems were back up and our room keys were ready. I figured this was just a small glitch and was relieved it had been resolved—until we returned later that evening. After a full day of waiting in park lines, we were met with another long lobby lineup. Once at the counter, we were told the printer was down again (while other counters seemed to be operating). When I politely asked to speak to a manager, the front desk agent seemed visibly annoyed. Thankfully, the manager who came out was helpful and got us our keys and passes—though unfortunately, the barcodes were still unreadable, which led to continued issues at the parks. To top things off, our room had a toilet that didn’t flush properly for two days despite a service call. While I do appreciate the efforts of the manager and staff who tried to make the best of a tough situation, the overall experience didn’t meet the expectations of a premium resort, especially given the price paid for upgraded perks. I hope our experience helps improve processes for future guests. Read less
