We were so excited to stay at this resort! We booked a hospitality suite, which had a full kitchenette (full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, cups, dishes, utensils - it was a great convenience!). The large refrigerator in the kitchen was super important to us. We own a protein pudding business, which is a product that requires refrigeration, and we were traveling with A LOT of products that could not stay in a cooler for 10+ days, so this room setup was perfect for us. There was also a large living room, dining room, bedroom, and 1.5 bathrooms - both were HUGE. The rooms were very clean and quiet. We were on the 7th floor, and we never heard a peep coming from the hallways or next-door neighbors - and the hotel was packed.
The gym was one of the best we have ever seen at a hotel property. Spacious + clean, plenty of dumbbells, machines, cardio equipment, men's and women's locker rooms, each with its own sauna. Plenty of towels, and fresh fruit stocked in the gym daily, which was a nice touch. Pool was amazing - clean, well staffed, plenty of seating all around. Cabanas for rent (they were very pricey though). They had a hot tub, a slide for the kids, and even a fire pit, which they turned on nightly. You could purchase a S'mores kit from the hotel to make your own over the fire pit.
We did not eat at either of the restaurants at the hotel; however, other guests we spoke to said they were great. We did visit the grab-n-go store on the property for coffees and some snacks. Very expensive, but they had a decent selection of quick food options and healthy snacks.
What really made our 10-day trip great were the people at the hotel. I would like to mention Joel @ the Valet -- he was the first person to greet us. Helpful, friendly, lots of energy. Made sure our bags were taken care of and held properly since we arrived a few hours too early for check-in. He answered all of our questions and made us feel very welcome. Also would like to mention Izzie at the front desk, who helped us actually extend our stay a little longer. Actually, the entire front desk team was simply amazing. Concierge is such an important function at any hotel, and Ace was literally the best!!! He was on top of any request we made, and he made sure things were taken care of promptly. We were so impressed. Excellent communication. Made you feel valued as a guest. Overall, the hotel (and the staff) were great. We are actually trying to book another trip for October Halloween Horror Nights. We had been visiting Loews properties for over 25 years (we used to stay at the Portofino year after year), but this most recent trip has us hooked on Sapphire Falls. No trip to a theme park property is ever cheap. So, if you are spending your hard-earned money and taking time away from work to visit Orlando, I 10/10 recommend the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.
