Walt Disney World Swan

Walt Disney World, Orlando

Star rating

The hotel

Next to the Walt Disney World Dolphin and the Swan Reserve, you’ll be wowed by what’s on offer across these three resorts. Being a partner hotel of Disney, by staying here you'll have access to a whole host of exclusive benefits that will allow you to make the most of the parks - with early entry every single day as well as extended hours at the end of the day on select evenings too! As well as this, you can use the complimentary transportation to the parks - although you won't need it to get to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios, they're within easy walking distance (or a scenic water taxi ride). And our favourite thing about staying within this complex of hotels, is the fact that you have access to the facilities of all 3! So that's over 20 restaurants and bars, 6 pools, a spa and daily activities for all ages to just name a few. Staying here will ensure you get the upmost of your Walt Disney World trip, but you'll also have plenty to keep you entertained on non-park days too.

Highly recommended hotel if you want to be close to epcot and hollywood studios at a reasonable cost. Stay was great from beginning to end - had a double resort view room, and we could see the lovely frontage and back of boardwalk, as well as the Tower of Terror. Room was clean and spacious enough for us. Big TV, great pools. The quieter 'normal' pool was lovely and warm and easy to get seats at. Brilliant coffee and snacks from Java in the hotel. Easy to walk to the sister Dolphin hotel if you wanted in a couple of minutes. More amenities there. Easy to walk to Epcot or get the Disney boats. Buses also to Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. 5 mins walk to the boardwalk and the shops and food there and 10 mins more to Epcot. Super easy. Very quiet and relaxing hotel. Would recommend highly. Read less

My wife, twelve year old son, and I spent four nights at The Swan in mid-June. Having stayed at the property previously - although before its most recent renovation - we knew we’d love its location within the Epcot Resort Area. Even if you don’t choose to use the complimentary busses or Friendships, the walk ability is amongst the best in all of Walt Disney World. The Swan looks as good as ever - with all of the public spaces honoring Michael Graves’ original design language perfectly alongside more modern touches. The recently redesigned guest rooms are terrific. Our two-Queen room was appointed with the wonderfully-comfortable Westin signature beds along with a brand-new 65” HDTV. WiFi was fast (150mb symmetrical) and (somewhat) “free” as part of the resort fee. The bathroom had a nice divided area with sinks both inside and outside of the toilet shower area. Unfortunately, there’s not much the Swan can do about the original, early-90s layout of the bathrooms themselves - although they certainly tried to maximize efficiency with the recent renovation. The previous complaints about not being able to close the toilet/shower portion door while sitting on the toilet are entirely true. It’s tight in there. But I’d rather have two functional spaces rather than one while staying with others. Our family enjoyed the new Java lobby location each morning. Service was fast (and offered remote ordering!) and the staff was friendly! The menu was diverse enough for even the pickiest eaters in our group. Last, but not least - the Swan/Dolphin’s grotto pool remains one of the best of all the WDW resorts. Such a great way to spend a muggy summer afternoon! We will definitely be back again. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Horrible Parking Situation

Jun 20, 2025 Josh B

The hotel oversells parking constantly and forces you to walk from sister properties over a half mile away to get back. It completely kills the perk they advertise of free parking at Disney if you pay to park at hotel, when you return from Disney there is no parking.

I have only good things to say about the Swan. Our room was lovely, as was the bathroom. There were plenty of food options on site and next door at the Dolphin. The young men at the front door were super friendly and helpful with our luggage from start to finish. And the grotto pool and beach were superb. We’ll be back!

We just returned from our stay at the WDW Swan, and overall, the experience was wonderful. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and comfortable—especially the beds, which were incredibly relaxing after long park days. While the rooms were on the smaller side, they were thoughtfully laid out and very well maintained. The hotel's location couldn’t have been better—convenient and close to the parks, making it easy to come and go throughout the day. For breakfast on our non-park days, Rosa Mexicano quickly became our favorite spot. On park days, Java was a great grab-and-go option, though I do wish they offered a gluten-free breakfast sandwich. We also dined at Il Mulino, the Fountain, and Cabana Bar and Beach Club—all of which delivered great food and excellent service. The only downside to our visit was a missed opportunity for some Disney magic. When my daughter lost a tooth, we reached out to both the concierge and front desk. We were told she had been added to a list, but unfortunately, nothing ever came of it. Not even a small note from Tinkerbell, which we’ve heard is a common gesture at Disney-affiliated properties. A simple acknowledgment would have meant a lot, and it was disappointing to see that moment missed. Still, aside from that one hiccup, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Read less
