We checked in on the 19th of July 2025 and what should have been an amazing, memorable weekend experience turned out to be a nightmare. It being my anniversary weekend i planned a photoshoot in the resort. We had hired a professional photographer and makeup artist to make everything extra special. Our Photographer had sent a message to the hotel on Instagram asking if there was any permit needed for photography in the hotel but there was no response. So, we decided to inform the management what followed was one long hour of hard NOS without sympathy and experienced a lot of emotional turmoil because what we had invested. The security in charge and Duty manager said we needed to get approval from marketing. We asked them to give them a call. We were very surprised that they came back several times saying that the marketing person wasn’t picking the call I asked if I could perhaps have the Director of Sales number to call them for approval or any other person who was a key decision maker they refused. We understand that there SOPS however, this being a reputable 5 star hotel we would have expected the team going above and beyond for the guest to make their stay memorable, offered an exception with conditions e.g. payment or come up with a solution. The duty Manager informed us that they would get back to us if there was even the slightest possibility of being allowed to do our shoot.24 hours later no one ever got back to us with any information till our checkout period. That was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had with any hotel staff in my life. Highlights • I waited 24 hours for anyone to get back to me with feedback which I never got till checkout (No-one cared) • I lost the money I invested for a photographer and makeup artist. • The stress made me not enjoy my stay. • There is no one on management around on weekends who can actually/truly make a decision in case of this kind of one-off situation ? • What happened to hospitality, sympathy and finding solutions? Im truly disappointed and it was a horrible experience. Read less
