Where is it

Located on the East Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, 700 metres from Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark, and a 20-minute drive from Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 45 minutes.

Board Basis options:

Half Board option: includes breakfast and guests are entitled to choose either lunch or dinner on a daily basis when staying on Half Board. Dine-around concept is available in 6 selected outlets mentioned below. On 31 Dec Half Board will be available for lunch only.

Full Board option: same as the Half Board option but with lunch and dinner. On 31 Dec Full Board is not available.

Opera Suite with 2 king-size beds, separate living room and sofa suitable for a child, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 1 child (below 12 years). Opera Suites include access to the Premier Lounge, with complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and Apero Chic (cocktails and canapes) from 5:00-7:00pm, as well as dedicated check-in/check-out and concierge.

Signature Palm Suites feature a large balcony offering garden or sea views, separate living room with a sofa bed, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children (below 12 years). These suites include complimentary spa access, Premier Lounge access with complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and Apero Chic (cocktails and canapes) from 5:00-7:00pm, as well as 24-hour butler service.

We arrived at this hotel for the second time with our first stay being during the same period last year. We enjoyed our stay last year and hoped to have the same experience this time around. Unfortunately it was nothing short of awful. The reception gave us the wrong room (palm view instead of sea view) then proceeded to lie about the fact and insisted that the palm view was a sea view room and tried to make it out that I was being fussy for asking for what I paid for. After losing my temper we were eventually moved to the correct room. It was our daughter’s 2 year birthday and we had asked for the hotel to accept delivery of a Peppa Pig cake we had specially made for her. They refused to accept it stating it was against hotel policy even though we were an hour away in Abu Dhabi. Again after losing my temper they changed their attitude and became a caring hotel that went and contacted the delivery driver who had long since left and made him return and then also decorated our rooms with balloons I assume as a gesture of good will. This was great but the moment was ruined as I had also become very upset at the hotel staff. The room was never cleaned properly despite requesting house keeping to do so. The bed (which is meant to be one of Sofitels unique points) was extremely worn out and divoted leading to my wife waking up with a sore back every day. We stayed in a family apartment and there were only 2 drinking glasses (one high ball and one whiskey glass). The quality and variety of breakfast items has also deteriorated since our last stay. We had a great time at Sofitel the Palm. Especially the Laguna Restaurant was our favorite. When got a birthday cake. Thank you Susmita for taking so good care of us. We want to come back soon… Perfect pool and great food and drinks… It will get quite hot in June so if you are not used to 40 Degree Celcius maybe go another time

Fantastic time with my 3 x boys. Shout out to Umesh who was very friendly and helpful at Moana restaurant. He changed my Sons burger as he didn’t like the sauce on it. Took 5 mins to make one without sauce. Food was really lovely. Courses where big.

Great staff, very friendly and kind. Especially with kids, they are extra kind. Recommendations for restaurant porterhouse and Moana. At Moana there was a special waiter called Umesh, he was really attentive and trying to make our dining experience great.
