What a disappointing experience.
It started with our room. The bunk beds were not made, and there were no proper bed sheets on them, so after a long day at Disneyland we had to make the beds ourselves. That was not the welcome we expected.
The room service was even more disappointing. I ordered a steak from what is supposed to be a quality restaurant, but the meal arrived in plastic containers with plastic utensils. It is unreasonable to expect a guest to cut and eat a steak with plastic cutlery. I contacted room service expecting them to correct the issue, but instead I received a phone call after 10:00 p.m.—when my family was already asleep—asking me to bring the steak downstairs. I found that response completely unacceptable.
I have been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for many years. I could have chosen many other hotels, but I chose Marriott because of the level of service I have come to expect.
Unfortunately, when I explained my concerns at checkout, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to make things right. I left the hotel feeling extremely disappointed.
This experience fell well below the standards I expect from Marriott, and I sincerely hope management takes these issues seriously so future guests do not have the same experience.
