Beware of extra charges for valet parking and resort fees

We would not stay here again. They charged $70 per day for valet parking, there was no self park option available, there was also extra resort fees. We ended up paying over £400 in extra costs for a 4 night stay, despite booking and paying for the room through Virgin.
There weren't many shops or restaurants within walking distance.

Business Meeting -Unique Place

The hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere to relax after a long workday. It’s a place where history and glamour come together, creating a unique ambiance. The outdoor restaurant, diverse food options, and ocean breeze make it a special place for your next stay or business meeting.
Must check out.

Gammy, Boris, Kristian, William, Curtis, Dennis and Isaac were amazing! Best hospitality and even better smiles. Took great care of my car and were so sweet!!
Were very patient while I was gathering my belongings together before leaving my keys with them. Great experience.

I do not recommend this hotel. The room was comfortable enough, but was not cleaned thoroughly. Example - when we arrived there was an empty Perrier bottle holding the curtains back. I do not recommend this hotel. The room was comfortable enough, but was not cleaned thoroughly. Example - when we arrived there was an empty Perrier bottle holding the curtains back. I had talked with the hotel a week before our stay asking if they can secure a bottle of distilled water for us due to the need of a medical device. I first spoke with the concierge. He said he only handles rides and restaurant reservations. He transferred me to someone "he thought could help". This second person assured me it would be no problem at all. There would be a bottle waiting for us when we arrived. Not only was there no distilled water, but I talked with 3 different people trying to find out what could be done (if something could be done). Finally, the front manager said he would handle it. Not without "lecturing" me both on the phone and later by text that this is not something the hotel is prepared to do. If I had been advised before our arrival the hotel couldn't do this, I would have made other arrangements. Ultimately the water was provided, and they did not charge the room for it.
The elevators were not working well in my wing. At the lobby level, the call lights were not working and only one elevator was in service. I had many conversations with other guests waiting for an elevator. We decided the buttons not only were not lighting, they were not calling the elevator. We had to just wait until someone brought the elevator to the lobby by chance so we could go up. This was for 2 days. On the 3rd day, the elevator wasn't working at all. We have to walk down from the 4th floor for breakfast and then up again. The hotel had to have staff come to carry our luggage down so we could leave.
We slept in on Saturday and came down for breakfast/brunch at 11:00. We were told the hotel does not have anywhere we could eat from 11 to 11:30. They stop serving breakfast at 11, and won't seat anyone else until they opened for brunch at 11:30. How can a quality hotel offer no food from 11 to 11:30 on a Saturday??? The restaurant host offered to make us a reservation for 11:30. When that didn't suit us, he suggested we walk to the 3rd street promenade to find a restaurant for breakfast. Not knowing the area, we followed his suggestion. We could find NO WHERE on that promenade for breakfast or brunch. We wandered and finally found a lunch place (by this time it was indeed lunch time).
We married at the Fairmont in Seattle years ago. We expected the Fairmont Miramar to be of equal quality. Sadly, that was not the case.
