Excalibur

The Strip, Las Vegas

Star rating

The hotel

This good value on-strip casino hotel boasts an enormous pool area and is home to the must-see Tournament of Kings dinner show, complete with knights on horseback, jousting, pyrotechnics and Merlin himself. Las Vegas’s take on old England, the Excalibur would surprise the Knights of the Round Table. But that’s where it leaves England behind and takes on the world. There’s the all-American casino (with 100,000 sq ft of gaming), games arcade, and branch of Johnny Rockets’ famous hamburger chain. There’s Italy, Mexico and Asia (and a bit more America) in its casual restaurants and food court. And there’s Australia in its ‘Thunder from Down Under’ adult show and Australian Bee Gees tribute concert.

Hotel is good, nothing special. I wish they had a mini refrigerator in the room. Don't buy food inside the hotel, it's super expensive.

The hotel was clean and the bed/pillow were comfortable enough. I was surprised that I couldn't find a Diet Coke anywhere in the hotel. I decided to buy some from the store, but I realized that there was no refrigerator to keep them cold! They only sell Pepsi products, and they charge $25 per day for a refrigerator! I also found the Casino too… Read more

outdated, old motel not hotel. Rooms are very old dated, beds are too soft, smart TV features don't work, A/C blows at the nearest bed by the window which will freeze your feet, its thermostat constantly turns on/off which is fine but it is noisy in the midth of night, room is being cleaned daily but not your sheets which we were told its once every 3 days, the only visible clean-up is garbage removal and tightening of the bed sheets. When approached housekeeping which don't speak english they direct you to call instead, we received a phone call only, room key is digital card used to get into elevator and room, expect issues with it, front desk admitted to having issues with them daily. When went downstairs to present list of issues we were told they will be addressed but no one ever bothered to fix it either. Convenience for some would be their cheap rates considering you are not in the room all day, expect to be charged daily resort fees $50+/day, all restaurants (not much variety), essential stores, etc are triple the price. You can have a buffet for $40/person but how much can you eat with McDonald's type of food or re-microwave flavor?? If you a gambler don't expect to win much either, feels like all machines are calibrated their way of gain. Only convenience is nearby tram to go to Mandalay, Luxor where there are better choices of restaurants especially Border Grill (@Mandalay). Highly recommend Cirque De Soleil Michael Jackson, Awakening. Shark's Reef not worth it. Read less

The rooms were clean and comfortable something I value above everything else. We also were very happy with most of the food option inside the casino itself.
