They do not honor the guarantee on time check in as advertised and they said they would give us $40/off per day of our stay due to AC issues and then only gave us 3 days - I had to insist on the third at check out. Just not the experience you hope for in Greenwich Village. Won't go back. It had been on my list to stay there, and it was disappointing.

Worth every penny

I had a truly magical stay at the Walker - I cannot stress enough how high-class and perfect everything was. The rooms are well-appointed, the lobby and restaurant are terrific, and the staff are attentive. Given how many problematic NYC hotels there are, it's such a relief to find a place that feels like home away from home and worth every penny.
Now we’re gonna be repeat customers

Wonderful little hotel on 13th in the heart of the Village. Walkable to everything and just down the block from fabulous food and drinks and scene. When we come back, this is where we’re gonna stay.
Not a good experience, stay elsewhere

There was a heat wave the week we were staying (this past week) and the air conditioning was not working properly!!! Even worse, it was super loud and made it hard to sleep! It was warm, musty and humid in our room and intolerable! We called front desk and they sent over the engineer who stated that they are in the process of improving their systems to accommodate the high heat, and that their system could not handle cooling all of the rooms down with this heat, and provided us with a fan, which did not alleviate the issue. It was so humid in the room, our slippers stuck to the bathroom floors, and the bed sheets were wet!
Even after these issues with the a/c, and speaking with the management, nothing complimentary was offered as a consolation to our 3 nights of discomfort and lack of sleep!! It was close to 80 degrees in our room and so uncomfortable.
I asked the front desk twice, if breakfast was included with our stay, literally the same time I informed them of the a/c issues, and they did not even offer complimentary breakfast! The rooms here are not cheap, and we certainly did not get our moneys worth.
We ended up leaving mid week to another hotel with functioning air conditioning and it was so much better and wonderful.
Although the staff here were friendly, and pleasant, I do not think this hotel is worth the money given their major issues with their air conditioning system. We were shocked at the stingy way management handled this-it is not how a high end hotel should be managed.
Furthermore, the lighting in the entire hotel is very dim and hard to see in. In the restaurant we all struggled to even read the menu in the low lighting, and the entire stay, we felt like moles living underground.

Weekend Getaway

Great hotel. Loved the location. The room while small (as you would expect in NYC) was very comfortable - lighting a little dull. Very, friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.
