Avoid at all costs. It didn’t have air conditioning working and room was boiling. They agreed to a refund after I complained but they doubled charged me instead and have not been able to fix the issue in weeks. Terrible place. Look for alternatives in the area.

Location of this hotel is amazing. Hotel is very cute. The AC was out when we were there so that definitely affected my trip. Too hot to sleep comfortably at night. As long as the AC is working it would be a good place to stay. The staff was not super helpful in resolving the AC issue. I had to track down my own fan for the room.

It hurts to give this place only 2 stars, but for the amount per night you pay we couldn’t justify the experience. The temperature of the room was borderline unbearable. Sleeping was miserable. The AC was not working in the entire hotel and I can see by other recent reviews this was a shared experience. Our room was between 77-80 degrees the entire time. We cracked the windows and dealt with loud noise all night to try and combat the heat even just the tiny bit that it offered. The shower drain and sink in the bathroom were also both clogged. Taking a shower in 1-2 inches of water feels pretty gross. We were taking cold showers constantly to combat the heat, so this was super noticeable for us. We were only staying a couple nights, so this isn’t something we would waste time on requesting a new room. The lighting in the bathroom is very dim as well (in the entire room actually). The location is amazing and what interaction we had with staff was great - no complaints there. Overall, for a $500+/night room, we were very disappointed. For most on vacation, your room is a Homebase and place to relax and recharge. You can’t do this if the room is miserably warm. This hotel could be totally worth it if they can figure out their temp issues. I feel confident that with other minor changes this could be 4-5 stars easily. All NYC hotel rooms are tiny, but there’s little table/side table space to use in these rooms. They could do with some adjusting here. Wall lighting instead of lamps, getting rid of the radio on the table, etc. I’m bummed - it is a beautiful hotel, great location, and staff seemed lovely. Read less

If you don’t mind being ‘downtown’, the location is lovely in a quiet-ish road, close to the subway that’ll take you uptown in just a few minutes. Inside, the Walker is a a joy. This place is a cozy and calming haven away from the city bustle - and the staff are efficiently delightful. My room was tastefully decorated and I slept really well. It’s on the small side [this is NY!] but by no means cramped and the bathroom was a good size with a nice, large shower. And that’s some power shower! The only negative I’d flag is the air con not operating properly throughout my stay - it was fine but would have been a real issue in a New York summer. At the right room rate, I’d look no further for my next stay in Manhattan. Read less

Great staff. Great location. Really nice room with a view to downtown. Resolved an issue that I had quickly. Would definitely stay there again. There was live music in the lobby which was a nice touch. The lobby was a good place to sit and chill with a drink.
