Image of the Tripadvisor rating A stay to humiliate and punish

Had no expectations, just make sure it's clean and room is ready. Booked 24th to 27th June as I'd be arriving 06:00 25th June. All paid up. Arrived at 07:30 and was told I didn't show up and room is "gone". From the time up until which allowed to check-in = 00:00 and 07:00 - room gone. "you didn't show up!" "you should have phoned us!" "No not a single room available in the entire hotel". "doesn't matter you have fully prepaid... what if you didn't show up your flight?" "Sir, how is it different???" Two managers and same confrontational condescending humiliation later, offered a key to disabled toilet to freshen up before a whole day of work. Just wanted a shower. (P.S. did call up before to check if early check-in possible was told by front staff should book night before - how naive I was) So paid for three nights, only got two nights after all. It's overpriced during conference stay on a good day, ridiculous to have paid for a night for nothing. This is the American way??? Other reviews are correct. Dingy room. Clean enough. Shower bad pressure. Air con like a diesel excavator when on. Party Thursday night will be unbearably noisy if you want to sleep early. Will be telling conference company never to have this hotel on their list next year. Atrocious, bullying, humiliating after a 24 hour flight. Don't respond please "managers" - don't tell us to ring the day before if you might arrive late. Some customers do fly over 24 hours in the air, and no one picks up the phone on any given day anyway!!! Read less

Good location and very clean. Enough for those who just want to use your hotel as a place to sleep and use the restroom and take a shower. All people are friendly. I would like to highlight the good service the Carlos does with luggages and specially the great job that Carl, at the front desk, does. He was very kind and helped us with all we… Read more

I'm writing this review based on the hotel staff. They were so great, especially Sonam who helped with valet parking and bag storage. He went above and beyond to help my friend and I when we checked in and especially when we checked out with bags, getting in the car, etc. The hotel was exceptionally busy, but the service never suffered from staff members like Sonam who had all the time in the world to assist and make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is very lucky to have Sonam working for them. The focus should be on the great staff, but I do need to point out the hotel doesn't have enough elevators, which are tiny, for the amount of rooms they have. It can be very hard unless you stay at the top of the hotel to get an elevator down at some points, especially if you are using a wheelchair because no one else can really get in half the elevators with you because they are so small. The rooftop bar had some of the best views I have seen from a NYC hotel bar and the rooms were small, but very nice. Read less

I was here working and we booked this spot for a couple of our coworkers because the price was under $200 (at the time we booked). Jane at the front desk is FREAKING AMAZING!!!! She's so kind and helpful. If I could give her 5 stars I would. The only reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is that the elevators do take a bit longer than normal and one… Read more

She's so kind and helpful. If I could give her 5 stars I would. The only reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is that the elevators do take a bit longer than normal and one seems to always be broken. The fitness room also had no AC, but other than that, it was literally fine. Yes the rooms are small, but it's New York at a good price. And it's clean. What more do you want? Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating DO NOT RESERVE HERE

Horrible costumer service, I made a reservation called and let them know ahead of time I was arriving after midtown only to arrive there and notified in person that it was canceled and that I had to wait until 8am for the supervisor to reinstate it because he wasn’t trained for this? What kind of hotel is this? won’t refund the money
