Great Hotel, comfortable beds, friendly staff, close to Time Square and Central Park . We included the breakfast package and it was a buffet breakfast and was a great way to start the day.
Nice Hotel, decent stay, but lifts a little slow.

Check in was quick and easy, and our room was a 'city view' king room on 26th floor, with a decent view. My partner loved seeing her name on the TV screen to welcome us to the room, and mde a nice stat to her first visit to New York.
The room was a decent size, with wardrobe, lat screen TV, Keurig coffee machine, microwave and small refridgerator, which was empty and available to use. Very handy to keep drinks cold. Contrary to other reviews, the coffee pods were replenished daily. There were two bottles of water, however these were $3 each unless a Hilton Silver or higher member. For the cost, maybe the water could have ben included for all staying?
The bathroom was good, with bath/shower, WC, and sink with decent sized counter top. Used towels were changed daily, when the room was made up. Alos contrary to some other reviews, we had hot water available for a shower each, every morning during our stay.
The hotel lobby wasn't huge, and had 3 elevators serving all floors. However, these weren't the quickets to arrive, sometimes with a 5 minute wait, however it didn't spoil our stay. There was a restroom just off the hotel lobby, along with a small shop for drinks/snacks. The hotel also has an adjoining steak restaurant, but we did not use it, so cannot comment.
Final day, check out was also quick and easy, and our luggage was kept at the hotel whilst we did some last minute shopping/sight seeing. The bellhop hailed a yellow cab for us to get to Penn Station.
Overall, we were happy with our stay at Hilton Garden Inn New York/central Park South-midtown West, and would stay again.

The hotel is smaller, clean and our room was nice. Not large but we had no plans to hang there.
We were 1 block from the South end of Central Park. It’s a very nice area. Plenty of spots to eat and buy your must haves.
The rooms decor, linens and carpet was clean and up to date.
The elevators are small and VERY slow.

Just returned from a lovely stay in NYC and our base for the trip was the Hilton Garden Inn Central Park South. Check in was very easy and although we were there before the 3pm check in time we were told we could have a room straight away on the 4th floor, so we accepted. Bags deposited and off we went exploring. Maybe because we were so tired from a long days travelling and a long explore, but we missed an electrical buzzing sound. This was really evident on our 2nd night. I spoke with the duty manager who said they’d look into it straight away and if they couldn’t sort it then they’d move us rooms. We went out for the day and on our return the noise was still very apparent. As promised we were given a different room straight away, so big thumbs up for customer service. We spent minimal time at the hotel as we only had so many days to pack loads of stuff in. The hotel rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels daily too. Every member of staff we came into contact with were really polite and friendly. They have 3 lifts and it was apparent that only 1 was working fully so there was a little bit of waiting around during certain periods of the day. I did go looking for the fitness room and found that the whole basement was under renovation, it would’ve been nice to know that there was no access to the hotel gym on arrival. However to counter that I believe that there was access to a gym across the road (o only saw this sign after day 3 and had already walked in excess of 10 miles!) over all it’s a great hotel really close to all the main attractions that draw people to NYC. I would definitely stay there again.
