“Good Location, Comfortable beds, Terrible experience.”

We arrived at this hotel after a long flight late at night (around 11:45pm). The lobby was under construction. In fact, many parts of the hotel were under construction (we were not notified and there was no hotel advisory). We were directed to the lower lobby where a makeshift check-in desk was setup. We were met with a line around 100 people deep. No exaggeration, it took us over 3 hours to check in. We did not get into our room until after 3am. Additionally, when we got to our room, it was discovered that the bathroom was not cleaned (lots of hair in the shower, no toiletries) Fortunately, the sheets were fresh and there were towels. We tried to call down to inform them, but were unsuccessful. We were so tired, we just went to sleep. The beds were comfortable, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about the room. Many other things were in disrepair including the window blinds which could not be opened. We were informed that we needed to check out mid-stay and check back in. Apparently this was due to a renovation schedule and our original room being on a floor that was due to be renovated. This was a huge inconvenience. We needed to pack up and move and wait in a long check-in line AGAIN (this time only 40 minutes or so). The second room was also tired but in better condition than the first. Again, the bed was comfortable. If we had been checked in to this room initially in a reasonable amount of time, I'd have probably been fairly satisfied with the hotel. Most of the staff I encountered didn't seem to care at all regarding our horrendous experience with one exception checking in on our second time. It just seems like a very poorly managed hotel overall. The hotel is in a pretty fantastic location. It is walking distance to Times Square, Central park and most of the Broadway theaters. There was a subway station right next to the hotel and it was pretty easy to find. If it weren't operated so poorly, I might consider staying here again but I don't think I would ever recommend this property or choose it again. The overall experience and service were just that bad.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. The rooms were just okay in terms of cleanliness. Despite being promised a good view, we did not get the room we booked. Breakfast included is not a good idea — the options were poor, lines were long, and the service was average. It’s better to choose a room without breakfast. The bar service was also underwhelming. Check-out was smooth, but overall, we would not revisit. The cost is too high for the quality of service received. Even basic amenities like daily water bottles were not provided after the first day. The room phone did not work, making it difficult to request services, and no Wi-Fi details were provided at check-in. Overall, we do not recommend this hotel.

Ahmed at check in front desk, 10/10. He belongs in a St.Regis with his hospitality level. Came into town for NYFW and this hotel is huge but location is prime.
