If I could give this hotel less than one star, I would. The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel heavily markets its prime location and classic Art Deco charm, and while the location is undeniably convenient, the rest of the experience falls drastically short—especially for the price. The hotel claims "age-old glamour," but that’s only partially true. Only floors 19 to 22 seem to reflect any semblance of that. The rest of the floors, visible when elevator doors open, are filthy, outdated, and resemble a low-budget motel. Rooms are severely overpriced and should match more budget-level rates given the condition and lack of amenities. Let me be very clear: • No pool • No restaurant • No real lobby area • No microwave or mini-fridge in rooms • Slow, overcrowded elevators We paid for breakfast in advance only to find it was nothing more than bagels, water, muffins, and juice—certainly not worth the added cost. We ended up eating every meal at local restaurants. Unfortunately, with no fridge or microwave, leftovers had to be thrown away. The photos on the hotel’s website are completely misleading. The elegant lobby bar shown online is nonexistent in reality, and the food pictures appear to be from nearby restaurants, not the hotel itself—a case of false advertising in my opinion. The hotel, built in 1962, seems stuck in that era with no meaningful updates. The only redeeming qualities were the friendly staff and excellent location—but with so many hotels nearby (even on the same street), it’s hard to justify staying here again. We were terribly disappointed, and needless to say, we will never stay at The Manhattan at Times Square again. Read less

This is a Centrally located hotel. Stations were very nearby. We had a nice stay. Except the power points could have been nearby to the bed. Special thanks to Manny, who attended us at the reception and always very helpful with all our concerns during our entire stay. We wish him Good luck.

this is by far the worst IHG hotel I have ever stayed at. I have been an IHG member for more than 20 years. I have never had any issues ---- HOWEVER They cancelled my reservation TWICE I received a room with black mold in the shower, no drain, dirty towels. we were assigned another room which had wet paint on all of the trim, and no blankets. we… Read more

I have never had any issues ---- HOWEVER They cancelled my reservation TWICE I received a room with black mold in the shower, no drain, dirty towels. we were assigned another room which had wet paint on all of the trim, and no blankets. we were assigned a third room - which we took. it was still pretty sucky considering what we paid. The front desk staff were not helpful - so I had to call the IHG 800 number to resolve all issues. Whats worse - is I cannot speak to an actual PERSON. Read less

Overall we had a very nice. The room was a very nice size for a NYC hotel and the AC worked very well. The room was recently renovated which was mostly done well but there were places where they cut corners (see pic). The location is great if you’re up for Times Square and it’s a bit less crowded than being downtown a few more blocks. We used… Read more

We used points for the stay and were disappointed to learn there was still a fee (not a lot, around $50 but other hotel chains like Hyatt (my favorite), Marriott and Hilton don’t do this. Read less

The hotel was amazing! So beautiful and in a great location for walking to the sites. The staff, Aerial and Haque, were so friendly and helpful during check in and our stay there. Definitely 5 stars. I would recommend staying at The Manhattan!
