The location of the Virgin Hotel New York City on Broadway is absolutely perfect. You’re close to everything you want to get to — Times Square, Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, Broadway theaters, Penn Station, and some fantastic restaurants are all just a short walk away. It makes getting around the city incredibly easy.
From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by Darnell Thomas, and he instantly put me in a great mood after a long flight from Las Vegas. He was warm, genuinely happy, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the check-in process seamless and efficient, and his energy truly sets the tone for the hotel. He is an absolute standout and a huge asset to Virgin Hotels.
The room itself was hands down the best room I’ve ever stayed in in New York City — and I travel to NYC once a month on business. This is now, without question, my favorite hotel in the city. Even the standard rooms are impressively spacious by NYC standards. When you enter, there’s a generous entry area that almost feels like a mini lobby, with plenty of space to comfortably fit two or three suitcases. There’s also a dedicated vanity where you can sit and do your makeup, which is such a thoughtful touch.
The bathroom is fantastic, featuring a rain shower and a separate toilet area, which I really appreciated. Then you walk into the bedroom, which has a large, extremely comfortable bed and an extended headboard that cleverly converts into a diner-style desk and seating area — perfect for working or relaxing.
I stayed on the 16th floor, and the view was phenomenal. I had a clear view of one of the city’s iconic landmarks right in front of me (I wish I remembered the name!), and it truly elevated the entire experience.
The staff throughout the hotel are consistently friendly and welcoming. I loved my stay so much that I brought my mum back in December, and we were able to enjoy the bar together. The atmosphere was really cool, the drinks were excellent, and it was just a fun, stylish space to relax in.
When I returned with my mum, I saw Darnell again at check-in, and he was just as friendly, warm, and wonderful as before. Consistency like that makes such a difference.
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in New York City, and this one stands out above the rest. Virgin Hotel NYC delivers on location, design, comfort, service, and atmosphere. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
