The kitchen and bar at Lohis Surf Break makes the experience so worth it. It was great to get to know some of the regular staff. Mushil, a Maldives local, became a welcoming part of our day. He always made our day warm and rich with smiles, stories, sharing basic cultural knowledge and understanding of the Maldives.
Our visit was during Ramadan. The local guys and girls who had to provide the top class service were simply amazing. It’s already hard enough to put up with fussy travellers in the stifling heat, without adding water and food fasting to the long daylight hours.
I had the privilege to surf and hang with some very significant persons to Lohis Resort. The humble nature and down to earth vibes have obviously spread across the whole island.
We will definitely be back!

All the staff, without exception were friendly, helpful and professional. Safe swimming and snorkelling on the quieter side of the island. We have been to other islands but the quality of the food served in the restaurants and beach bars was exceptional. We originally stayed in a beach villa but treated ourselves to an upgrade for 3 days to a water villa which just made the whole
experience even more magical. Especially as the villa came with its own butler, Thishara, who could not be more helpful, cheerful and accommodating and made our stay extra special.

We stayed in an over water villa and had incredible sunrise views every morning. Loved snorkelling with the tropical fish and reef sharks directly from our villa. The service was great, particularly from our butler Mathu.
