Visited June 2025 Wonderful resort. Friendly + helpful staff. Excellent restaurants with wide range of dishes both Indian and European. Do visit Male for shopping and view the historical buildings and avoid the submarine trip for £150 was a rip off. Thanks so much Tsenia, Sanju and Tean Banyan especially Naafiv, Zaihan and KK. My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi. The island is absolutely stunning, and what made our experience truly special was not only the natural beauty of the Maldives, but also the incredible people who work there. I would especially like to recognise a few members of staff who went above and beyond to make our holiday unforgettable. A special thank you to Luxeman and Shonhan from the Banana garden, our butlers Baashith and Sultan, our wonderful waiters Sampath, Pasindu, Musthaiin and Shaain, and Chef Puran. Thank you all for your kindness, hospitality and the effort you put into making guests feel welcome. Your hard work genuinely makes a difference. However, I have to give a particularly special mention to Sultan, our butler. For us, he was so much more than a butler; he made us feel like family. His kindness, warmth and willingness to help with anything made our stay incredibly personal. What touched me most was seeing that this wasn’t something he did only for us. I noticed the same genuine care and attention towards other guests as well. The staff work incredibly hard around the clock. You can wake up early in the morning and see the same people already working, and even when you are heading back to your room around midnight, you still see people doing their best to look after everyone. Despite the long hours, so many of them greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. That level of dedication deserves real recognition. The resort also organises theme nights with food (different culture food) and entertainment, which adds to the overall experience. The activities can vary, with some evenings featuring live music and others offering something different, such as an outdoor cinema. The island itself has so much character. It may not be a perfectly manicured, picture-perfect island in every single corner, but that is actually part of what I loved about it. It feels natural, full of life and authentic. There are beautiful trees beyond the usual palm trees, and the variety of vegetation brings so much wildlife to the island. We stayed in a Deluxe Beach Villa, which suited us perfectly. One of my favourite things about it was how close it was to the beach. I could walk from our villa to the beach in less than five seconds, which was incredibly convenient. For me, this was actually better than staying in an Ocean Villa, as I preferred having such immediate access to the beach. The Ocean Villas are located separately from the main island and offer a more private and exclusive experience. Guests staying there also have breakfast at the Sunset Restaurant, which is not accessible to everyone. I’m mentioning this for anyone considering booking an Ocean Villa, as it may appeal to guests looking for extra privacy and exclusivity. One of our favourite experiences was visiting the banana garden, where you can see and eat fresh bananas growing on the trees. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy, from water sports and excursions to diving. I would definitely recommend exploring these options if you want to make the most of your stay. We wanted to try jet skiing, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. One thing to be aware of, though, is that the prices for water sports and excursions can be high, so I would recommend checking the costs beforehand and budgeting accordingly. If I had one downside to mention, it would be the atmosphere. If you are looking for a very intimate, adults-only experience focused on couples, romance and peace and quiet, this may not be the ideal resort for you. There were quite a few large groups and families with children during our stay, which wasn’t quite the atmosphere my partner and I had imagined. However, I also want to be fair: this was down to me not researching the resort properly before booking. It wasn’t the resort’s fault, but something I would encourage other couples to consider when choosing their holiday destination. Overall, we had a beautiful holiday, and the people are what made it truly memorable. The island has its own charm, the nature is incredible, and the staff deserve so much appreciation for the hard work they do every day. To Sultan, Baashith, Luxeman, Shonhan, Sampath, Pasindu, Musthaiin, Shaain and Chef Puran: thank you for making us feel so welcome and for being such a special part of our Maldives experience. We had an amazing stay at the Ocean Villa! The villa was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning ambiance that made our experience truly special. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for a memorable getaway. A special thanks to our butler (Thushara) for the exceptional hospitality, attentive service, and for making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The care and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and outstanding service.
