This bar is the most magnetic place on the island! It’s freshly windy here, really warm and clean water, beautiful colors of course and once a week they have DJ here, which is so perfect as an end of a beach day dancing on the sand!

We felt right at check-in that this was going to be something completely different. Our host, Uresh, welcomed us with such kindness and direct humor that it set the tone for the entire vacation. We got our rooms lightning fast, and it was a pleasant surprise that they assigned us two adjacent bungalows without us even asking. Uresh kept us thoroughly informed every day about the programs and options, and Kaelesh was another highly approachable host who seemed to be everywhere, helping us in detail with practical matters.
Our rooms were cleaned twice a day. Ravi, one of the housekeepers, often surprised us with wonderful decorations and always had a smile. Chaminda, who cleaned the other room, also did an amazing job keeping it tidy after the kids.
Two teams stood out during our everyday stay: the entire staff at Hiyala, the bartenders, and of course, Muizz and Khushbu. Our kids, especially our little girl, received attention from them like nowhere else. We didn't even feel like guests, but straight-up celebrities. Before we even sat down, Khushbu was already bringing cocktails and mango juice for our daughter, and Muizz never walked past us without a kind word.
The other super team was the Beach Grill staff. Mr. Suranga's team wasn't just top-notch in service; the way they presented the drinks and chatted with us made it feel like we were old friends. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name of the bartender who made excellent cocktails, though he deserves a special shoutout—I apologize to him here. I do want to specifically highlight Sampath, however; as my son put it, he didn't just go there for hot dogs, but to see his friend.
The food was delicious every day. We aren't familiar with Indian cuisine, but it looked amazing, and Chef Puran Singh answered all my questions warmly, just like the team and head chef at the Banyan restaurant.
I think we managed to book at a very good price. We arranged the accommodation six months in advance and managed to pay upfront after a few email exchanges, as I didn't want to pay on the spot. Basically, this went smoothly as well. On-site payments were also simple and seamless. There are several shops on the premises for souvenirs, surfing, and beach gear, and I didn't feel anything was overpriced. Overall, I think we got excellent value for our money.
The surroundings of the resort are simply stunning. The coastal and aquatic wildlife, and the banana forest are breathtaking; it can't be expressed in words or pictures. I swam with sharks, over rays, and among fish. It was a wonderful experience.
