The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. But there’s more to the Apsara than sun, sea and sand. Set in unspoilt tropical greenery, along Pakarang Beach, this All Inclusive haven offers a range of drinks and things to do. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

Where is it

In tropical Phang Nga, set in a secluded location along Khao Lak's Pakarang Beach. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

An Outstanding Holiday at Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villas, Khao Lak We have just returned from another incredible stay at Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villas, and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations in every way again. The resort itself is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and perfectly located, but what truly makes Apsara special is its people. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a fantastic experience. A very special thank you must go to the amazing team at Karkinos Beach Club. We spent many wonderful days and evenings there, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. In particular, Lek and Dao deserve special recognition. Their warmth, kindness, friendliness and attention to detail made every day memorable. They greeted us with genuine smiles, remembered our preferences, and consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They are a credit not only to Karkinos Beach Club but to the entire resort. We would also like to thank Nuay in the main bar, whose friendly personality and excellent service made every visit a pleasure. The housekeeping team were simply outstanding. Our accommodation , swim up room 107 was cleaned and presented to an exceptionally high standard every single day, and their hard work contributed enormously to the quality of our stay. The reception team were equally impressive, always professional, helpful and happy to assist with any request or question. Finally, a huge thank you to the teams in both the main restaurant and Karkinos Kitchen. The food throughout our stay was exceptional. We particularly appreciated that lunch and evening meals were freshly prepared to order from an à la carte menu rather than being repetitive buffet offerings. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently of the highest quality. It is genuinely difficult to pick a favourite because each one seemed just as good as the last. Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villas has given us many memories that will last a lifetime. The facilities are excellent, the food is outstanding, but it is the people who continue to make this resort truly special. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so enjoyable. We arrived at the hotel and decided we would see if we could upgrade to a pool access room, which we asked and we could. The price for that was amazing, only an extra 200THB per night. The room was absolutely beautiful. Immaculately clean and it blew us away really. Our own sun loungers on our balcony in front of the pool and probably the most comfy hotel bed we’ve ever had. We mostly ate at the beach bar, apart from the breakfast buffet, and the food there was really nice. Also the staff were really nice and always happy to see you too. The facilities here are great. We had a massage on our first full day and were very happy with that. It was raining and that sound of the rain and the sound of the sea made the experience unreal! Never short of things to do at the hotel. They have a pool table, table tennis and surfboards and other equipment to rent either by the hour or by the day for a reasonable price. There is a daily shuttle that costs 100THB PP per way. And the reception staff are really friendly and always happy to help. The pools are both great also. We watched a few sunsets from the main pool. It’s about a 15 minute ride into the town centre with taxis usually costing 400thb from outside the hotel and 300-350 to return once in town. Overall we can’t fault anything about this hotel and its beachfront location just makes it so much better. If you get a chance to stay here you should! Read less

The staff provide friendly service; although the property wasn't previously in the same category, it has undergone renovations and reopened as a new hotel in Khao Lak. It is located right in front of a famous surf beach, so you can go surfing first thing in the morning.

Absolutely fantastic hotel . Food is excellent , staff are friendly and provide amazing service. Location is the best in Khao lak , will always keep returning to this little paradise.

Myself and my daughter stayed here for 10 amazing days absolutely beautiful hotel the swim up room was amazing the staff are all so friendly always have a smile on their faces, so helpful food was amazing one of the best hotels we have stayed in will definitely come back
