The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. But there’s more to the Apsara than sun, sea and sand. Set in unspoilt tropical greenery, along Pakarang Beach, this All Inclusive haven offers a range of drinks and things to do. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

Where is it

In tropical Phang Nga, set in a secluded location along Khao Lak's Pakarang Beach. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

The Resort Zone has 195 rooms and Villa Zone has 60 villas. All with private balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, complimentary WiFi, safe, mini-bar*, fridge, bathrobes, slippers and hairdryer.

Bed & Breakfast: Kinnaree Restaurant (buffet) / Napalai Restaurant (buffet - Villa staying guest only).

Deluxe Rooms have garden views, a spacious balcony, bathroom with combined bath and shower, with 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children.

Pool Access Rooms offer a spacious private terrace with direct access to the pool, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Jacuzzi Villa feature a separate living and outdoor bath, with 1 king-size bed and sofa bed in the lounge, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children.

Pool Villas feature a private swimming pool and sundeck, with 1 king-size bed and sofa bed in the lounge, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children.

This was our second time at Apsara and the experience was even better - the cherry on top was the lovely surprise of a complimentary bottle of champagne that was delivered to our villa room upon arrival. We last stayed in 2022 when travel was just starting to make a return post Covid so some of the buildings were a little tired and in need of some TLC. This time around, however, there have been some great upgrades. The pros: - The main pool has been redone - the restaurant on the pool villa side is open for meals so we didn’t have to trek over the bridge for breakfast - the gym on the pool villa side has brand new full set of free weights and new treadmill -There are several pools to choose from or hang in your private pool villa if you have one - buffet breakfast has plenty of options for all tastes -staff are lovely and always helpful - there are bikes available for small hire fee, a highlight to ride through the shady trees to white sand beach for a cold drink by the sea - there is a lovely beach side surf school and restaurant called Memories (not connected to hotel but a short 5 min walk accessible directly from hotel) much cheaper for meals and genuine Thai or western food options - lovely Elephant reserve within 5 mins walk from Memories where you can feed and bath elephants. Cons: - hotel is a little out of town so if you want variety for meal options it’s a $400 baht / 20 min taxi ride into town All up we had a wonderful stay in our pool villa ( highly recommend) and would def come back again. Beautiful resort, exceptionally clean, staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Villa spacious and cleaned every day. Peaceful and very relaxing stay. Food at all meal times was wonderful despite no buffet due to quiet season something different every day to try. Wonderful views and walks along stunning beaches x

Very chilled out relaxing hotel beautiful villas with own pools , staff are very friendly and helpful ,food and drinks are good and pools are very nice with lovely surroundings also close to the beach with beautiful views

We went to the apsara in late June early July. When we first got to the hotel we checked in and upon arrival we got told that they had upgraded us to a villa with a pool. They then took us round to our villa via golf buggy. Once at the villa which they made sure was as close to the restaurant and bar as possible for my fiancee who has slight walking problems. We was blown away with the villa our own pool and what a villa never been in a place like it . Bed was comfy the room had two aircon units tea and coffee making facility safe bath robes and everything u could think of. The food in all the restaurants was outstanding really enjoyed it especially the chocolate moose. The staff in all the restaurants couldn't do enough for people . All the staff throughout the hotel from the gardeners to the cleaners to reception staff to the bar workers made everyone feel very welcome no matter wat. I originally didn't want to go to Thailand but my fiancee talked me into it. I couldn't imagine a better hotel to start my Thailand journey I'm so looking forward to going back Read less

Since it was my 3rd time I knows most of the staff like my family already because of the heartwarming welcome. Their willingness and kindness to help.
