The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

To begin with, we were given a lovely table with an unreal view of the beach and the sea, where we enjoyed drinks and relaxed. Our group then turned out to be larger than we had first expected, and we were promptly given another equally nice table with room for more people. Everything was handled with incredible service by Reymond, who was the highlight of the evening and made us stay much longer than we had originally planned. Friendly, funny, service-minded, and an absolute pleasure to have as a waiter. The food was also excellent, along with great cocktails. Go there, ask for Reymond to take care of you, lean back, and enjoy! That’s exactly what we’ll be doing again next year. Thank you, Reymond! Read less

We recently enjoyed a fantastic holiday at Apsara Khao Lak in Thailand, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and friendly—truly lovely human beings who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We were particularly impressed with their attentiveness; for instance, when we accidentally smashed a glass bottle, the staff promptly cleared the area and even moved sunbeds to ensure there were no safety concerns. Their dedication to guest safety and satisfaction was remarkable. We also indulged in the hotel's massage services, which were very affordable and left us feeling rejuvenated. Our trip to the elephant sanctuary was unforgettable, and the snorkeling adventure during the Surin Island trip was truly amazing. The hotel itself was immaculate, with clean facilities that made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach was lovely, and the sea was pleasantly warm, while the pool provided a refreshing escape. Overall, we can’t think of anything negative to say about our stay. It was a totally relaxing holiday, and we returned home feeling entirely refreshed and chilled. We highly recommend Apsara to anyone looking for a serene getaway in Thailand! Read less

In terms of value for money, cannot fault it. Booked via Tui. The hotel is 1 1/2 hr transfer from the airport. Friendly greeting on arrival and allowed to have lunch as room not ready due to our early arrival. Room in the main block was well appointed and comfortable. Staff throughout our stay were exceptional, always greeted with a smile. Food in the main restaurant was very good. Also booked a meal at the restaurant on the villa side which was good. Hotel has lovely and has well maintained grounds. The beach is beautiful and the water warm and inviting.Did a trip via Tui to James Bond island which was good value and included an excellent lunch. Drinks are all good including the local wines. Only downside for me was the regimented sun bed area by the pool. However there is a lovely quiet area beyond the beachfront restaurant. Sadly had to undertake the early towel hunt to get a sun bed. Still those who put towels down and arrive in the afternoon! Overall a lovely break and would happily recommend. Tip….take mozzie spray as the little blighters get everywhere😀 Read less

The stuff is very kind and super helpful. The rooms are big enough and the furniture is pretty. Generally speaking, the hotel with it’s garden is very nice.
