There are many parts of this hotel that desperately need the refurbishment due in May, the shower in our room for example was nothing short of pathetic, however the room was very comfortable indeed. The all inclusive food is passable. But the à la Carte is very nice. The entertainment was very good. Our biggest negative is that some, not all of the staff are grumpy and unfriendly. The bar staff were lovely. Outside of the hotel people were really friendly and you feel quite safe. The ZR $3.50 buses are extremely frequent and entertaining. Overall 3 star is all this hotel warrants. But would we come back, yes we would. Read less

Just back from a week staying here with family, and must say we were very impressed. We had an amazing room overlooking the fantastic beach, which was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever had. The cleaning staff do a terrific job, they come in every day change towels daily, top up water bottles and tea and coffe, and keep it lovely and clean. I bumped into our cleaning lady once who was very friendly. The choice of food was fantastic, honestly I normally tire of all inclusives after a few days, but not here, there was even a Chinese food night, beautiful. The staff work really hard and do their best to keep everyone happy, especially Sandra, Michelle and Shaun who were fab. The entertainment is provided by local musicians, who are very proud of their heritage, we enjoyed it all very much. The only reason I havent given it 5 stars is because the hotel is very tired, but is closing for a refurb soon, and we did struggle to get sunbeds some days, but neither were a big deal to us, we just sat in chairs around the pool/bar area taking in the stunning views. All in all, there are some very critical reviews lately which I think are very unfair, it's a budget hotel in Barbados for goodness sake, if you want 5 star, pay for it. All I can say is we had an amazing time, loved it and would go back Read less

The reception staff went the extra mile for us on more than one occasion. Many of our fellow guests were regulars there, which says a lot. Our room was comfortable and clean, with daily house-keeping, and we had a balcony view overlooking the pool and the sea. There is nightly entertainment including some really excellent live performers. The bar was open 11am until midnight and there was plenty to eat. The only reason I did not give five stars is because I’d been given to understand that the hotel had been informed that I’m vegan. This may not have happened and I had to request plant milk which I was promised but, after four days of asking, I gave up and bought my own. The food however, offered plenty of choices for me and I enjoyed it. We intend to book again and are looking forward to it already! Read less

If I could rate it a 0 I would!! This hotel is run-down, outdated, and clearly cutting corners everywhere. Drinks are poured from cheap pop bottles, which feels unhygienic and embarrassing for a hotel of any standard. The so-called beach is tiny, cramped, and completely inadequate for the number of guests. The food was diabolical — barely edible, constantly lukewarm, and kept “warm” with pathetic little gas canisters that clearly don’t work. Staff were consistently rude and unhelpful, with very little care for guests. The entertainment was beyond shocking — disorganised, low-effort, and frankly a joke. There was widespread dissatisfaction among guests, with many openly complaining about the state of the hotel. Reception being hidden behind a plastic shield made communication difficult and felt unwelcoming. This place fails on every level. Do not waste your money or your holiday here. Read less

What a disgrace of a hotel. This shabby, tired building houses some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. Nobody working there has any hospitality skills or manners. They will either not respond or when they do there is attitude and disinterest in any of the hotel guests. The building itself is tired and looks nothing like the photos online. They appear to have been taken at least 10 years ago. The furniture is tired and needs replacing, infact the whole hotel needs to be renovated if not knocked down and rebuilt. There are uneven and broken floor surfaces making it a nightmare for elderly or disabled guests. In parts it looks like a disused building site. The "all inclusive" experience consists of a limited number of foods which are basic and no food allergen/ingredients available to view. The food is lukewarm most of the time so please take snacks. The bar is limited to drinks and does not have any drinks optics. Soft drinks are poured from 500ml plastic bottles and not a fresh one each time. The beach is small and picturesque at sunset, however the added bonus of the local drug dealer who climbs the beach rocks and jumps over the broken hotel fence and makes his deals openly. He is never challenged by staff with security staff visibly sleeping on the sofa in the seating area in reception first thing in the morning and nowhere to be seen during the day. Please do not waste your money on this hotel it really is the worst. Read less
