30 air-conditioned suites on 2 floors. All suites have a large furnished balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, sitting area, LCD TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, well-stocked mini-bar* (complimentary on All Inclusive plan, snacks and non alcoholic beverages included in the breakfast and half board plans), safe and iron and board, bathrobes and hairdryer. Westside Suite (previously named Superior) have a separate lounge area and double shower, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.
All Inclusive option:includes welcome cocktail and in-suite snacks on arrival, all meals including à la carte breakfast served daily in guest room, on terrace or on the beach at a private table, lunch at The Beach Club at Calabash, afternoon tea, and à la carte dinner in the Rhodes Restaurant. I was taken on a private tour of the Island by Kurt Francis, a member of The Calabash staff. The tour can be tailored to what ever you wish to see on the Island and can be a half day or a full day. It was nice being driven by a local who was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Grenada.
My Mother and I only stayed one week, but we felt very relaxed and will be returning in October.

We had an incredible stay at the Calabash Hotel and are already planning our next trip. If I could rate the hotel above five stars, I would. I could write pages and pages about why the hotel is so fantastic, but I’ll try to be brief:
Accommodation – our suite (#1) had a great view of the bay and was luxuriously appointed. It had everything we needed. We never tired of breakfast on our balcony in the mornings.
Food – every course of every meal we ate at Rhodes Restaurant and the Beach Club was delicious. The catch of the day had some great options, including Lion Fish!
Ambience – the Calabash is the perfect mix of old-world Caribbean charm and modern luxury. There is a wide range of live music to accompany meals. The hotel grounds and gardens are immaculately maintained. It is a lovely touch that the management still hosts a weekly welcome drinks for new guests.
Staff – it’s clear that every member of staff is proud to work at the Calabash. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly and more than happy to help with whatever we needed. Nothing was too much trouble.
Beach – there are plenty of sun loungers and a mix of sun and shade on the secluded beach. It’s possible to snorkel straight from the beach. The view of the boats in the bay is beautiful and the aquamarine water is wonderfully warm.
Excursions and activities – we went out on a snorkelling trip with Scuba West Indies, the dive centre that operates from within the hotel. The underwater sculpture park and marine life on the reef are definitely worth seeing. The concierge was also able to assist with taxis into town to visit places like the local spice market, as well as with car hire. We drove to Grand Etang Lake and the Seven Sisters waterfalls – both worth a visit.
Spa – the therapists at the Calabash Spa are brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed the Swedish massages we booked.
There is so much more I could mention, but this should be enough to encourage anyone to book a stay at the Calabash, you won’t regret it.
