The hotel

Meaning “Reef Above Water”, the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives enjoys a unique location beside one of the longest stretches of reef in the archipelago. Featuring brand new beach bungalows, over-water bungalows set on stilts and platinum beach bungalows, you’re only a few steps into the waist-deep water and can enjoy fabulous views of the lagoon. Connected to the main resort via a walkway is a small private island with 20 platinum bungalows offering the ultimate in privacy. Ideal for couples or groups of friends with an outdoor pool, bar and lounge, and an exclusive restaurant for guests staying on the island.

Where is it

In Meemu Atoll, 145km south of Malé Island. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 45 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

10 Standard Bungalows, 70 Water Bungalows and 20 Platinum Beach Bungalows are built around two islands with direct access to the lagoon. All with sun deck, air-conditioning, lounge area with glass-bottomed floor (in water Bungalows), TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board (on request), and bathrobes. Beach Bungalows are in a secluded inland location on the main island in close proximity to the main pool & bar with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 10:30am-11:30am, 4:00pm-5:30pm & 10:30am-11:30pm (on request). Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Tropical Fresh Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary Snorkelling Shuttle Service (Morning 10 am - 11 am / Afternoon 3 pm - 4 pm). Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day. 


For stays completed from 1st November 2026:

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 4:00pm-5:30pm at Veli Pool bar and Lounge. Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary choice of one excursion per stay. Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day. A la carte dinner at Coral Restaurant (prior reservation required).

Water Bungalows offer a direct view of either sunrise or sunset with a glass-bottom floor, private sun deck and staircase leading down to the lagoon with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Platinum Beach Bungalows are located on a small private island with a private outdoor swimming pool, bar and lounge and restaurant. The island is connected to the main resort via a walkway and is for adults 18 years above only.

We stayed at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa for two weeks for the second time, and once again, we had an amazing experience. We stayed in an overwater bungalow again, and we can highly recommend both the accommodation and the resort. We would especially like to thank the restaurant manager, Rumesh, who always took the time to speak with guests and made us feel welcome every single day. A special thank you also goes to our waiter, Fulhu, who was always friendly, attentive, and made every meal even more enjoyable. We also want to thank Haleem for taking such great care of our bungalow. It was spotless every day and always beautifully prepared. The entire resort is very clean and well maintained. Every member of the staff was kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. It’s this genuine hospitality that makes this place so special. We also highly recommend the diving center. The manta ray tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Besides seeing manta rays, we were lucky enough to see dolphins and sea turtles as well. The team was professional, friendly, and always willing to help, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The spa is another highlight that shouldn’t be missed. The treatments were incredibly relaxing and are a must if you stay at the resort. The therapists were all so kind and created a peaceful atmosphere where we felt comfortable and well cared for throughout every treatment. This definitely won’t be our last visit. We have already recommended Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa to our family and friends, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Read less

Upon disembarking the sea plane, the classic Maldives fantasy honeymoon began. The welcoming tour took us to our beautiful room with a perfect, uninterrupted sea view. We couldn’t help but go for the some of the activities on display, a fun jet ski ride, lobster dinner, incredibly relaxing couples massage but what topped it off for us was the scuba diving experience. As scuba virgins we had no idea what to expect but the experience was amazing. Experiences aside, the natural beauty of the area is enough to keep you happy for days, perfect weather even through what should have been monsoon season and crystal clear warm water to float in. Already planning to come back, just debating if we try somewhere different or come back to this wonderful place. I ponder and write this at my penultimate evening dinner with everything fresh in my mind. Special shout out to Magic, our patient, chilled out and super wise scuba instructor and Fairooz, our waiter, always ready to help and have a friendly chat. I can only apologise to the rest of the staff for not remembering every name but hats off to all the chefs, super good food and always willing to make things a little more special upon request.
