The hotel

Meaning “Reef Above Water”, the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives enjoys a unique location beside one of the longest stretches of reef in the archipelago. Featuring brand new beach bungalows, over-water bungalows set on stilts and platinum beach bungalows, you’re only a few steps into the waist-deep water and can enjoy fabulous views of the lagoon. Connected to the main resort via a walkway is a small private island with 20 platinum bungalows offering the ultimate in privacy. Ideal for couples or groups of friends with an outdoor pool, bar and lounge, and an exclusive restaurant for guests staying on the island.

Where is it

In Meemu Atoll, 145km south of Malé Island. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 45 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

10 Standard Bungalows, 70 Water Bungalows and 20 Platinum Beach Bungalows are built around two islands with direct access to the lagoon. All with sun deck, air-conditioning, lounge area with glass-bottomed floor (in water Bungalows), TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board (on request), and bathrobes. Beach Bungalows are in a secluded inland location on the main island in close proximity to the main pool & bar with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

For stays completed up until 31st October 2026:

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 10:30am-11:30am, 4:00pm-5:30pm & 10:30am-11:30pm (on request). Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Tropical Fresh Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary Snorkelling Shuttle Service (Morning 10 am - 11 am / Afternoon 3 pm - 4 pm). Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day. 


For stays completed from 1st November 2026:

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 4:00pm-5:30pm at Veli Pool bar and Lounge. Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary choice of one excursion per stay. Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day. A la carte dinner at Coral Restaurant (prior reservation required).

Water Bungalows offer a direct view of either sunrise or sunset with a glass-bottom floor, private sun deck and staircase leading down to the lagoon with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Platinum Beach Bungalows are located on a small private island with a private outdoor swimming pool, bar and lounge and restaurant. The island is connected to the main resort via a walkway and is for adults 18 years above only.

The resort is so clean and in perfect condition. Shifaz from the restaurant and Irushad room attendant are so caring, always at hand to serve and offer suggestions.

This island is amazing, first time in the Maldives definitely planning another trip. If you want relaxation, friendly service and excellent food this is the holiday for you. The villas are lovely everything you need maids come and clean daily fresh towels including beach towels everyday. My favourite sound in the world is the sound of waves they come right up to your villa steps. I would say it is value for money, we stayed on the premium part of the island but could also use the facilities on the other side. We didn’t upgrade the drinks package because it was a little expensive at an extra $90 per person per night and we don’t drink that much plus the choice of drinks on the normal package was good anyway. I would like to mention a few staff that went above and beyond for us that made the holiday more special, Shife , Armani in the restaurant also some of the best food we have tasted cooked by Kelum and his colleagues and always greeted with a smile with pleasantries. The friendly barman called Menaka always prepared the very best drinks for us. Thank you all we really enjoyed meeting you and all our chats. We were particularly impressed by the dining area and the themed food stations; for breakfast, we enjoyed "egg hoppers," though there were plenty of other options to choose from, as well as a diverse selection of desserts.
