From the moment we found the Cinnamon representatives at Malé airport to take us to our seaplane, we didn't have to think for ourselves for the remainder of one of the most relaxing weeks ever. The staff at the resort were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. We were impressed with their attention to detail and ongoing thoughtfulness. The buffet food was varied and plentiful; every meal also had at least one station with a chef to make you, depending on the mealtime, custom eggs/ommeletts, pasta dishes, stirfys, plus a special station that would change daily, from burgers to pizza to tacos, curries, fresh catches, bbq'd meats, etc. There was a vast selection of salads, sides and so on, and a beautiful array of desserts. We enjoyed the adults only aspect and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere all over the resort. Even the architecture was calming; the overwater villas with their white sail rooves and the sweeping pathways across the reef all felt so natural with the white sand and palms and added a tremendous feeling of peace. The other resorts we saw from the seaplane just didn't look quite as good! Our overwater villa was just as fantastic as the pictures advertising it. We spent several hours on our private deck, lazing in the floor hammock, tanning on the loungers or just sitting on the edge, watching the marine life in the shallows from above; mantas, stingrays, the occasional reef shark, pufferfish, porcupine fish, long fish, short fish, fat fish, flat fish... all kinds of colourful, wonderful reef dwellers were on convenient display 24/7, and we were only a staircase away from going in ourselves to get a better view and cool off in what felt like our own private, shallow ocean. The hotel do offer various excursions, like the frequent free ones to go snorkelling in deeper waters; however, we paid $180 (for 2) for a snorkelling tour specifically to see sea turtles, but unfortunately they were a no-show and the area we were taken to was a bit choppy with low visability. This disappointment did not last long though, as within a couple of days, whilst sat on our deck, a sea turtle drifted by while the sun was setting. Whilst there was a really nice pool (with a bar), we didn't end up using it very much as it was quite a walk and we felt that we already had all the comforts we needed at our villa. It was nice to know we had options, but equally nice to know we weren't missing out if we chose one over the other. At no point did we feel pressured to tip, which perhaps earnt them a larger tip in the end! On one of the days, we went on one of the free excursions to go snorkelling in deeper waters; special thanks and admiration to the captain of the boat, who dove to the bottom of the reef to retrieve a snorkel mask one of us had dropped. Must have been at least 6 meters. A true hero. Would go back. Read less

This island is an incredible place to visit and would highly recommend! The journey was very long with a 4 hour stop over in Abu Dhabi and then a 5 hour wait for our domestic flight to eventually get to the island, but it was worth every minute once there. We were surprised upon arrival to be stung immediately with a $200+ 'Green Tax' which I will be taking up with the package company who claimed all taxes were included in the price, so be prepared for that. The food was very nice and loads of different options available for all 3 meals every day. The Main positives for us were how dedicated the staff were to preserving the cleanliness of the island, always clearing the beaches every morning of any litter, kelp etc and sweeping the pathways for us to enjoy...all the time still smiling and greeting guests who are friendly to them. The wildlife was breathe taking; Fish, Ray's, Turtles, Small Sharks, Crabs and Bats made it feel so natural (long may this continue). All staff we encountered were friendly at a minimum and exceptional service was delivered by Layaan who served us at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day of our visit with extreme friendliness, he moved us on our second day for a better view of the sea and had 2 cappuccinos on the way as soon as we arrived for Brekafast (beer at lunch and red wine for dinner), he really was outstanding and deserves a day off! The 2 gentleman also who took us out on the Turtle Exploration were great as well, took great care of us in some rough conditions and directed us around a beautiful reef. All the staff who served drinks were great as well, never kept waiting and so pleasant to speak with. A few things I feel that could be improved at the resort are; The fridge in the Water Villa needed to be cooler, I am not sure if this was just ours or the temperature they were all set to. I felt the evening entertainment could have been a little better (the film put on for cinema night was awful and lots of people left). The guy who walks around the restaurant trying to get people to book the crab restaurant was really polite but he could maybe time his approach when people were in between courses or finished their meals, it didn't bother us but it did others from what I saw. We went just before 'peak season' which saved some money and the weather was perfect (only one night of rain). Overall, it's an amazing place with amazing people and I would highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting to do so. Read less

Upon arrival at the resort, we received a warm welcome from Siti, and every staff member we met throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The buffet was fantastic, offering a different theme each day. The chef at the fresh cooking station even remembered my love for spicy food and always checked if I wanted extra chilli or spice in my freshly prepared meals, such thoughtful service. We indulged in spa treatments with Dian and Windy, who provided an authentic Balinese massage experience. Our room was spotless, the view was breathtaking, and we enjoyed plenty of snorkeling right outside our water bungalow. We also went on a local island-hopping tour. While the islands themselves didn’t offer much to see, our guide Najla made the trip enjoyable with her great sense of humor and helpful nature. The sunset fishing experience was another highlight, fun and definitely worth doing. We even caught some fish, and the resort kindly served them for us at dinner the next day, which was such a special touch. The boat staff were incredibly attentive, and Najim kindly offered to take photos for us, even guiding us on how to pose for the perfect sunset couple shot. All in all, it was the wonderful staff who made this holiday truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely be returning and thanks to all the stuff for making the trip one of the best holiday we had.
