The hotel

Meaning “Reef Above Water”, the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives enjoys a unique location beside one of the longest stretches of reef in the archipelago. Featuring brand new beach bungalows, over-water bungalows set on stilts and platinum beach bungalows, you’re only a few steps into the waist-deep water and can enjoy fabulous views of the lagoon. Connected to the main resort via a walkway is a small private island with 20 platinum bungalows offering the ultimate in privacy. Ideal for couples or groups of friends with an outdoor pool, bar and lounge, and an exclusive restaurant for guests staying on the island.

Where is it

In Meemu Atoll, 145km south of Malé Island. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 45 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

10 Standard Bungalows, 70 Water Bungalows and 20 Platinum Beach Bungalows are built around two islands with direct access to the lagoon. All with sun deck, air-conditioning, lounge area with glass-bottomed floor (in water Bungalows), TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board (on request), and bathrobes. Beach Bungalows are in a secluded inland location on the main island in close proximity to the main pool & bar with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 10:30am-11:30am, 4:00pm-5:30pm & 10:30am-11:30pm (on request). Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Tropical Fresh Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary Snorkelling Shuttle Service (Morning 10 am - 11 am / Afternoon 3 pm - 4 pm). Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day.

All-Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 4:00pm-5:30pm at Veli Pool bar and Lounge. Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of Regular Brands, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. Complimentary Snorkelling Equipment for your entire stay. Convenient Complimentary choice of one excursion per stay. Full access to gymnasium, table tennis, billiard / snooker, beach volleyball and foosball (equipment included). Mini Bar (Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Canned Beer) refilled once a day. A la carte dinner at Coral Restaurant (prior reservation required).


Premium All Inclusive: Includes buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selection of local snacks served between 10:30am - 11:30am, 4:00pm-5:30pm and 10:30pm - 11:30pm (on request) at Veli Pool bar and Lounge. Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic beverages house brand: Unlimited access to a choice of premium international and house, Spirits and Wine served by the glass. Unlimited access to delicious Cocktails and Mocktails, to be selected from a menu. Selection of Draught Beer. Selection of Carbonated Soft Drinks, Canned Fruit Juices, Mineral Water and a selection of Tea and Coffee. A bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, In room mini bar is replenished daily with canned beer, soft drinks, chocolates, chips, and miniature spirits.

Water Bungalows offer a direct view of either sunrise or sunset with a glass-bottom floor, private sun deck and staircase leading down to the lagoon with 1 double bed, plus an extra bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Platinum Beach Bungalows are located on a small private island with a private outdoor swimming pool, bar and lounge and restaurant. The island is connected to the main resort via a walkway and is for adults 18 years above only.

We had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa and really enjoyed our time here. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. One of the nicest surprises was that we were upgraded upon arrival to a Beach Bungalow on a private island. It was absolutely beautiful — waking up right by the ocean and having the beach so close to our room made the whole experience even more special. The location is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful views and that perfect Maldives atmosphere. We would especially like to thank the wonderful staff who made our stay even better. Anjali was always smiling and so pleasant and kind. She is such a lovely person, and she also makes the most delicious food! We really enjoyed seeing her and trying the dishes she prepared. Kelum and Ansari were also very attentive, friendly and helpful, and we truly appreciate their service and hospitality. The food overall was very good, with plenty of choice, and the staff always tried to make sure that everything was comfortable for us. The snorkeling was another highlight of our stay. There were trips to the snorkeling spots twice a day, and we saw so many different fish, as well as turtles and sharks. Even more amazing was that we could see marine life right in the lagoon in front of our bungalow. We saw rays and lots of fish there, which was incredible — sometimes you didn't even need to go anywhere to enjoy the underwater world. There was only one small inconvenience during our stay: some renovation work was being done at the neighboring bungalow, so occasionally it was a little noisy. However, whenever we asked the workers to be quieter, they were very understanding and immediately agreed, so it was not a serious problem for us. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa. The beautiful private island, our beachfront bungalow, amazing snorkeling, delicious food and, most importantly, the genuinely kind and attentive staff made this trip very special. We would happily come back and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful Maldives experience. Read less
