An absolutely wonderful experience staying here. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much for them to do to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. I am a coeliac and the chefs could prepare me gluten free alternatives to the dishes on offer. A big shout out to Raufa in the restaurant and our delightful waiter Shifaz who chatted with us frequently. The snorkelling from the over water bungalow was great and the sea temperature was lovely. The pool area is open until 8pm daily so you can still swim once the sun has set. The bar is the hive of the entertainment and there is a duo who sing most evenings, plus there is a culture performance, a Balinese dance evening and a movie evening weekly. The rooms are serviced daily and the whole resort is very clean. There is a free boat trip to go snorkelling twice per day. The dive & sail centre on site has some great trips and water sport activities available but are on the pricey side. I would highly recommend this hotel and would return again. Read less

Just back from an incredible two weeks at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa—true paradise. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and well looked after throughout, especially by Siti. We stayed in a sunset water bungalow—highly recommended. Crystal-clear water and amazing marine life right beneath us (sharks, rays, turtles) made it unforgettable. The food was excellent with great variety, and the staff were fantastic—special thanks to Maishan, Fairooz, Nihaan, and Raufa. Excursions were a highlight: dolphin watching, shark trips, fishing (we ate our catch!), and island hopping. The spa was also superb—thanks to Dinda and team. A big shoutout to the dive & sail crew—Magic, Ahmed, Ashraf—who made diving an amazing, confidence-building experience. We ended up booking multiple dives and excursions—true bucket-list moments. Tips: seaplane transfer is worth it (bring earplugs), snorkelling trips are excellent despite no house reef, and Premium All Inclusive adds good value. A trip of a lifetime—huge thanks to the Cinnamon team. We’ll be back. Shukuriyaa! Read less

Just back from an amazing two weeks at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa, which can only be described as paradise. From the moment we landed on the island, we were greeted with a warm welcome, a drink, and an introductory talk before being escorted to our room. A big thanks to Siti for showing us around, always checking everything was okay, and helping with any queries throughout our stay. Rooms: We stayed in a sunset water bungalow, which I’d highly recommend. The water is crystal clear, and we spent a lot of time watching the sea life below us through the glass floor. We saw everything from sharks to stingrays to turtles—right around and beneath our bungalow. Dining: The food was delicious, with something new each day and a wide range of cuisines to choose from. There was a fresh pasta station, a variety of curries, fresh meat and fish, and a great selection of salads and desserts, among many other options. The chefs work incredibly hard, as do the waiting staff. A big shoutout to Maishan, Fairooz and Nihaan, who took care of us at every meal, making sure we had everything we needed, and also to Raufa, who greeted us each time with a smile. We really enjoyed our mealtime chats and getting to know them, and the lovely note left by Maishan on our last meal was a wonderful touch. Thank you, team! Hotel Excursions: We made the most of all the excursions run by the hotel—they were all fantastic and well worth doing. From shark sunset watching and dolphin watching to sunset fishing (we caught five fish, which the restaurant prepared for us the next day at dinner) and island hopping, which took us to two local islands. We loved this experience and found it gave great insight into “real” life in the Maldives. Spa: A big thanks to the lovely Balinese ladies at the spa, run by Dinda. We visited a few times during our stay and honestly would have gone every day if we could. Dive & Sail team: The dive team deserve a special shoutout—these guys made our holiday. Their level of patience, professionalism, and the range of experiences they offer is second to none. They truly go above and beyond and are a fantastic addition to the hotel. Having never dived before, I was hesitant, but we booked a beginner session run by Magic. We spent an hour doing an introductory lesson and lagoon dive, followed by an ocean dive where we were greeted by turtles and an array of sea life within minutes. We loved it so much that we booked two more dives the following week and were taken out again by Magic to look for manta rays. We also joined the shark snorkelling trip, which was incredible, as well as a manta snorkelling trip where we swam with mantas, sharks, eagle rays, and so much more. It was truly a bucket list experience. They also various offer other trips such as turtle and reef snorkelling, along with a variety of water sports. There’s something for everyone and they will do their best to cater to whatever you’re looking for. We can’t thank them enough—Magic, Ahmed, Ashraf, and the entire dive team. The memories we’ve made are unforgettable, and we’re already planning another trip back, with the aim of doing even more dives thanks to these guys. A few thoughts / tips: Transfers: If you can, take the seaplane transfer, as the island is quite far south. This took about an hour with a few stops along the way. Do take earplugs as it’s noisy (and hot), and bring a small hand bag with essentials like water and your phone, as suitcases and backpacks are stored at the back. The speedboat takes much longer (around 2.5 hours), and another option is an internal flight from Malé to Muli plus a boat transfer, which we also heard can be quite lengthy. All inclusive: The hotel is all inclusive but offers a Premium option when booked direct. This isn’t essential, as you still have access to most things, but it includes a few extra branded drinks and cocktails, machine coffee (latte, cappuccino versus filter coffee), free minibar, and—more importantly—some of the hotel excursions mentioned above, along with spa treatments and a bottle of bubbly. We were also able to dine at the à la carte restaurant with a four-course menu on the beach, which was definitely worth it. As we stayed for two weeks, the hotel kindly doubled our benefits, so we had all excursions included. Snorkelling: There isn’t a reef directly around the hotel. You can still snorkel from the beach or water bungalows after midday when the tide is higher, although the water is quite shallow. We still managed to see plenty, including sharks and turtles. The hotel also runs a free boat at 10am and 3pm daily to nearby reefs (about five minutes away), where the snorkelling is excellent. (If you visit the dive centre at the start of your trip, you can borrow a mask, snorkel, and fins free of charge for the duration of your stay.) Other: There is a shop on the island selling essentials and souvenirs. There is also a doctor available 24 hours a day—we did need to visit for a minor blocked ear (too much swimming!). I didn’t catch the doctor’s name, but she saw us immediately and resolved the issue—thank you! This really was the trip of a lifetime, made even more special by the entire Cinnamon team. We will definitely be back and can see why so many people return. A big “Shukuriyaa” to everyone. Paul & Steeve. Read less
