Returning after12 years expectations were very high and we were not disappointed Moofushi has a picture-postcard, wide, white sand beach that surrounds the resort and with so many sunbeds and places to relax you feel as if there’s only a handful of people in-house. We had a Sand Villa, only a few meters away from the very best snorkelling – daily we would swim with turtles, Stingrays, Eagle Rays and Reef Sharks; the sea was dense with all manner of tropical fish. And as for the perfect sunset from our terrace – wow. All staff were amazing. Their attitude was always ‘how can we make your stay better’ .. e.g. if you want to have dinner on the beach and all tables are full, they even move one from inside to wherever you prefer. All-inclusive will often mean a choice of 10 wines max, not at Moofushi where it includes well over 100 wines from around the world, curated by 6 Sommeliers’. And then on to the food - the mouthwatering, wide-ranging, daily changing buffet had manned stations ready to freshly cook pasta, meat, fish etc catering for all tastes. Not forgetting the soups, the salads, the sushi and the exquisite desserts which are to die for! And so much more. In addition, there’s a lighter lunch menu at the Totem Beach Bar and restaurant, also special a la carte at Alizee Special mentions go to Mareea and Jeff, Sommeliers Extraordinaire, for always remembering the wine we like and introducing us to fabulous new wines; Maiz the exceptional water who made us laugh every day; Ranjith, forever smiling who just seemed permanently to be hand to assist us; Binju, the delightful restaurant co-ordinator/manager responsible for allocating the very best tables to suit all individual requirements and so much more. Vinita Singainy, the Marine Biologist, so knowledgeable and engaging, we learnt so much from her. Finally, last but not least, the incomparable trainer that is J.B. for managing to get my husband training in the gym for the first time ever; laughing and loving it! The great team is headed up by G.M. Mevin Ramasamy. We needed to speak to Mevin as the war in Iran had just started and our return flight had been cancelled, we needed to speak to him to discuss our options. His response was quick, helpful and reassuring, frankly amazing given we were just two of so many guests whose plans were completely in disarray. Well done to everyone, excellent team! PS Don’t miss out on the Back of House tour its fascinating Read less

It’s quite old now and not at all flashy - a bit like us - but many of the staff are unchanged form previous visits and it’s a great pleasure to renew our friendship with them. It’s invidious to pick on particular members of the team because they are all excellent: unfailingly friendly, polite and efficient, but we can’t help mentioning the wonderful Imaz who looked after our water villa and kept it spotless, Chef Yogi who grilled such delicious tuna (and many other dishes) and Chef Priantha who made such wonderful desserts and baked delicious bread. All the restaurant staff were stars and the sommeliers led us to some delicious wines and kept them flowing. Names we remember were Koko, Jeff, Maeva and Aime. Of course nothing would have been anything like as good as it was without the close supervision of Mevin Ramasamy, the General Manager, and his top team. We like the island for its location and ths schnorkelling, sailing and canoeing in a beautifully clear sea teeming with fish. Finally, It’s super restful - quiet and comfortable in paradise, OK - it’s expensive, but for our one hot holiday in the midst of a gloomy UK winter, it ticks all the boxes. Read less

We stayed at Constance Moofushi as a family with two children, and overall it was a truly wonderful experience. What stood out the most for me was the team. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. They even arranged a cooking class for me, which was such a thoughtful touch and one of the highlights of my stay. The housekeeping was exceptional. Our villa was cleaned multiple times throughout the day, which made a big difference, especially traveling with kids. The island itself is stunning. The marine life is incredible — we saw large fish, small sharks, and manta rays, and it was such a special experience for the children. One of the things we loved most was how alive the island felt. There were seashells everywhere, small crabs along the shore, and even herons walking around. It made long beach walks with the kids so much more enjoyable. Compared to other islands we’ve experienced, we encountered much more marine life here. From a nature perspective, it is truly a wonderful island to visit with children. They also organized a dolphin tour for us, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip. We actually saw dolphins, and for the kids it became a true “anchor memory.” Although I didn’t get the chance to join, there was a morning yoga session every day, which I think is a great addition to the overall experience. Moofushi never disappoints. Weather, accommodation, and food are very good. The staff are superb, too many to mention, but special praise for Binju, Gopan, Luki abd Nasee. Peldon has the magic which fixes everything and is very knowledgeable. Nura was great with my husbands back! All in all very relaxing!

We’ve never – ever – come away from a holiday where we couldn’t find a single thing to suggest perhaps needed even a small improvement. But Constance Moofushi was – well – unbelievable. This was recommended by several friends – and they weren’t exaggerating. It’s easy to understand why so many guests had been multiple times. Every box is ticked. From the moment of arrival at Male airport - the guide, the lounge, the taking care of luggage, the easy check-in and seaplane flight – to the welcome at the hotel itself. The very comfortable room with its clever design of open-top bathroom, to the restaurants and wide-ranging menus, the white sandy beaches and clear blue water. You name it. Everything really is as perfect as you could wish for. The fact that Constance Moofushi is on its own island simply adds to the feeling of calm, of getting away from the outside world. The final and very important touch is the warm and extremely helpful staff; nothing is too much trouble. Personally, we’d like to mention Yogi Lesmene (who seemed to be there morning to night, from perfect poached eggs to tending the wonderful BBQs in the evening). The fresh fish BBQ on Tuesdays was out of this world. Leaving was easy (but very sad). No cabs or minibuses (either being late or not turning up) to worry about. The check out was straight forward, as was the flight. We were looked after all the way to the BA check in when, in truth, they could have deposited us at the seaplane terminal, having done their job. Such attention to fine detail was the mark of a holiday that, quite simply, wanted for nothing from the very beginning to the very end. Read less
