Constance Moofushi

This was our third visit to Moofushi and even though we knew we were going to experience the highest standards in all areas, this is a resort which manages to exceed even your highest expectations. First mention must be made of the staff, who are quite exceptional - always smiling, helpful, courteous and willing to do anything to make your holiday even more special. To be welcomed to the atoll by members of the management illustrates their overriding concern to make your stay everything you would wish it to be. We were also remembered by and welcomed by name on several occasions by Dhanna who recalled us from a single meeting off the sea plane a year earlier. Again, this speaks volumes about the way the staff prioritise concern for the welfare of the guests. From landing at Male, there is a seamless and accompanied transfer to the sea plane booking desk and on to the sea plane terminal and then to the welcome at Moofushi. We stayed again in a water villa which was extremely comfortable and looked after superbly by Saffah who always made sure the fridge was re-stocked! (The sparkling wine was a delightful addition from our last visit!) It is difficult to know where to start with praise for the F and B team. The quality, quantity and variety of food was superb with the 2 special evenings while we were there - Valentines Day and The Lunar new year - offering an even more staggering choice of food in beautifully-decorated surroundings. All the front of house staff and sommeliers were helpful and attentive. It seems wrong to single out any member of staff but Aime, Binju, Rasheed and Waseem, should take a bow on behalf of all their colleagues. Thanks must also go to the teams behind the counters and in the kitchen for their sterling work. We choose Constance Moofushi because it cares in many ways for its local community and it was pleasing to see 2 local women providing an option of their own delicious food on the Maldivian evening. The Manta bar provided a delightful way to end the days. Gopan and Kuber - thank you for your conversations and for keeping us well supplied with drinks, and once again to all the staff there for making it so enjoyable. A word of thanks too for Adil and to the staff Maldivian musicians for some delightful entertainment. The spa treatments in a serene setting are, as you would expect, superb, with the massages being both relaxing and rejuvenating. A special thanks to Prajin for all his organisation and to Hari and Peldon for some outstanding treatments. We are already missing them! There are many other teams that we do not see who also contribute to the high standards at Moofushi. To all of you - thank you for your dedication to making this such a special place. The snorkelling on the house reef was so enjoyable once again, with a stunning array of fish of all sizes and colours augmented by turtle, ray and reef shark sightings. And finally. Mevin, you deserve the highest praise for the way you train and manage the teams to provide a first-class service in such a relaxed and stunning environment. This was our first visit to the Maldives and we are so pleased we chose Constance Moofushi . We stayed in a beach villa which was kept spotlessly clean by the very friendly Mohammed. What makes this destination so special is the friendliness and commitment of all the staff. Special thanks to Geeth for showing us around your extensive wine cellar. Gopan and the bar staff in Manta bar for keeping our glasses filled!! How Gopan remembered our names is quite incredible. The waiters in the Manta restaurant are to be commended for their service.The buffet food in the Manta restaurant was always varied and of excellent quality.Great service and food at the Totem bar. Special mention to Ko Ko and all the staff at Alizee restaurant for their attentive service at the special Alizee Royal Hearts Valentines dinner. Such a memorable evening. Thank you to Mauro from the blue tribe centre for my beginners snorkelling lesson. I would never have done it on my own and I saw so many fish on the house reef. Thanks to Dillon who always made us laugh and to Hassan. Constance Moofushi is such a relaxing island. I have never walked barefoot so much. Although it was at full capacity it never felt crowded and we never had a problem getting a sun bed.We often walked the whole way around the island and marvelled at the picture postcard paradise views. Manager Mevin ,you have a truly magnificent group of dedicated staff who made our holiday such a memorable one.We are already planning a visit next year to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. This was our 3rd visit to Moofushi. We love arriving by seaplane. It's a brilliant start to the experience of staying here. We stayed in a water villa which was kept spotlessly clean by Azuheen. It was a joy to walk to breakfast along the boardwalk looking at all the fishes. The food was fabulous. Something for everyone to enjoy and each night had a different theme. The Totem bar was a great place for lunch. Freshly cooked food which was some of the best we've had on a holiday. (I love the tuna nicoise salad). All the staff are great, but a special mention to Inaas who was so welcoming and made us feel like friends. Inaas also worked in the Alizee restaurant and again he made our evening very special. Many thanks to Hassan, FandB manager who sorted out the valentines dinner for our wedding anniversary. Everything about the evening was wonderful. It's a fantastic place to relax, snorkle, sunbathe, read or watch the eagle rays or sharks. We can't wait to come back again. Read less

The first time we went to Moofushi we thought it was a once in a lifetime experience but we decided that paradise really does need to be experienced twice . This time we stayed in a Senior Water Villa and number 67 was a really special location . Getting up in the morning and wading through the knee deep warm ocean to walk to breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day . Lunch at the Totem bar with the attention of great staff and perfect food in the middle of the day was always special . Amazing cocktails at 5pm and a stroll back to watch the sunset . The evening food is always really good and we danced and had fun until bedtime . I wish I could remember all the names of the excellent staff as they really do go out of their way to make you feel special . Bobo took such great care of us in our Villa and nothing was too much trouble for him and always with a smile . The boys in the Totem bar along with Shaa and Praveen always came up with imaginative cocktails and great service, as did the Somalia, again always happy and smiling. The staff at the Manta Bar are always eager to keep you topped up with drinks and a special shout out goes to Gopan who really is friendliest and welcoming of people . Ranjith, Ushan and the rest all do such a great job . All in all we really can’t fault Moofushi and we would love to return one day . Amanda & Garry Read less

We have just returned to the UK after another great break on Moofushi. This was our fourth visit to Moofushi and it did not disappoint. As always, the staff were excellent - friendly, engaging and gave great service. Every member of the Moofushi team provide outstanding service. They could not do more to make the guests feel special. They go about with smiles on their faces, obviously enjoy working at Moofushi, and are always looking for ways to make the guests happy. They are a credit to the management team. The Moofushi experience is special. Barefoot laid back luxury, great food and drink and superb snorkelling and diving in the crystal clear Indian Ocean are all part of the experience, but the thing that makes Constance Moofushi special is the staff.
