Constance Moofushi

We arrived in Male Airport and were met by Shareef, the Constance Moofushi rep, who escorted us to the resort minibus and arranged for our luggage to be checked in for the sea plane. We were driven to the Constance lounge to await our sea plane transfer to the South Atoll resort, where we were met by another polite host who gave us cold refreshing towels. The lounge was very relaxing with a variety of food and drinks as well as facility for a shower. The sea plane flight only took around 25 minutes and gave us great views of some of the other islands. On arrival at the Moofushi resort we were warmly greeted by a number of staff and escorted to reception, where we were given cold towels to refresh and a typical Moldivian drink to welcome us. We were also given a pair of flip flops. After a short tour, we were shown to our over the water villa with steps down to the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. An Eagle Ray swam past followed a short time later by a Black Tip Shark ! The villa was just perfect and spotlessly clean. We mostly dined in the Manta Restaurant where we were greeted by a smiling young lady called Binju, who escorted us to our table of choice. Not only did this restaurant always have a "theme night" such as Moldivian, Italian, Eastern etc, but also catered for those who desired a more plain offering such as beef or chicken burgers which were cooked to order in front of you. The range of wines was fantastic and the Sommeliers were very knowledgeable and helpful, especially the young lady and Jeff. We aslo dined in the more intimate and formal Alizee Restaurant for my birthday. This was a culinary delight and was surprised by being presented with a birthday cake and candle along with singing. The dining experience at Alizee must be appreciated at least once while staying. There are lots of activities such as giant chess, darts, pool table, snorkelling, scuba trial etc etc. The staff from Reception, Housekeeping, Gardening, Buggy Drivers, Catering, Sommeliers, Totem Bar and Manta Bar could not be more polite, helpful and engaging. Special mention to Saif, Sinaz, Kubar, Gopan and Binju, Sommelier Jeff and the young lady Sommelier as they and all the other staff are a credit to Mevin Ramasamy and his Leadership Team. We are a family of four who stayed on this amazing little island. This was our second time visiting the resort, and it truly feels like coming home. The sea is turquoise and magical, exactly the picture-perfect Maldives you dream of. We absolutely love this place. Everything is perfect: the cleanliness, the very friendly and attentive staff, the delicious food, and our cozy villa. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it ideal for families as well as couples. We truly hope to return again next year. Read less

Yet another fantastic and memorable holiday in Moofushi ! Every year there is something different and always some special Constance Moofushi moments ! Special thanks to Loob who looked after us and our room so well ! He was so attentive , hard-working, friendly and always a step ahead of us anticipating our likes and dislikes – and always with a fantastic smile to greet us every day ! Totem bar and lunches were always something to look forward to ! Choice was great (and recommendations from the staff were always on point ) as well as the friendly and attentive staff looking after us. There are just too many names to call out as all were great but special callouts to Gopan ( whether in Totem or Manta and such a Constance star) , Yammu, Shaa, Azey, Shareef, Mohamed and Dharma (especially his cocktails!). The choice of meals at main restaurant Manta were superb as always, and again great staff looking after us. Amongst the chefs special call outs to Yanthi who is the absolute best at scrambled eggs and omelettes, and brightens up the breakfast every morning ! Also Yogi - king of the BBQ and who we were so lucky to have looking after us at our Lagoon lunch ! So patient, supportive and knowledgeable – made it a fantastic experience ! We love the different themes each night of the week at Manta, giving great variety! Some special call outs amongst the waiters at the Manta restaurant – Nizz and Sinaz ( who both always had us laughing while still being professional !), James , and Yaabe ( who is always very quietly making sure everything is organised !) Special Alizee restaurant visits, on the beach by the ocean, always exceed expectations – food, drink and service and how everyone rallies around if the weather changes to get the guests moved under cover with minimal impact is amazing ! The food is excellent across all areas of the island and executive chef Daniel really excels and can always surprise with some special creations which taste superb ! But food needs wine, and we also love the sommelier team here which really distinguishes Constance islands from other islands we have been at. You can choose from the wine list but we usually leave it to the team to bring us a great choice! We also love the twice-weekly wine tasting held on the beach with our feet in the water! Madu heads up a great team and we were also well looked after by Koko, Geeth and Aime! To try and counter all the food and drink a bit, I went to the gym regularly and also attended a number of the classes that JB was running. The gym is very well equipped and the classes were great – really enjoyed the boxing ! JB was so helpful and supportive and tough ( !!!) - he works you hard ! 😊 And JB – I will be making sure I use the right slam or medicine ball in the future ! The management team are very visible and always keen to listen to feedback for ways to improve/add anything new – Mevin, Hassan (the afternoon tea event was a great experience) , Risham, and Inaas - you are doing a fantastic job and every year we come the holiday is better and better ! We were very lucky to be there when the staff party was on. We felt really privileged to be able to see everyone pulling together and putting on such a show - just shows the Moofushi ethos in action ! It was a fantastic night ! This was our second stay at Constance Moofushi and it was again fabulous. Our water villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The food and drink was excellent particularly in the evenings where the main restaurant had a different theme each evening (we particularly liked the Pan Asian and Maldivian evenings) and the speciaility restaurant (one visit per stay) was really lovely. We also liked extensive wine and cocktail lists in the restaurants and bars. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble, management are also very visible both during the day and the evenings. We will definitely be returning. Read less

Our one-week stay at Constance Moofushi was truly unforgettable. It was our first visit to the Maldives and it will most definitely not been our last. We stayed in a Senior Water Villa, which was picture perfect. The housekeeping team were friendly and efficient and the turndown service was always spot on (we really this miss now we’re home). Stepping straight into the water from the villa was a daily delight and we regularly saw reef sharks, a variety of beautiful fish and even an eagle ray swim past. The food at Moofushi was exceptional throughout our stay. Every themed night was delicious, with Maldivian night being our favourite. I loved it so much that I asked the chef for a recipe and was presented with a laminated recipe card two days later. Such a thoughtful touch. We also had a delicious dinner at Alize, every dish was wonderful! All the drinks were excellent and Totem Bar became our favourite lunch and sunset spot. The sommelier team were fantastic and the wine tasting on our first evening was the perfect way to start the trip. Special thanks to Gopan and his team! We also really enjoyed the entertainment and had a lot of fun dancing the night away on the DJ night. We enjoyed two wonderful spa treatments each, with a special mention to Anna, who was incredibly kind and gave the best Balinese massages and facials. The spa itself is wonderfully calm and being able to watch the reef underneath when getting a massage is brilliant. This trip marked my first time back in to the sea after a diving accident in Greece a few years ago. Lal from Blue Tribe was wonderfully kind, patient and encouraging, helping me to rediscover my confidence in the water and enjoy the delights of the lagoon. My partner had two incredible excursions with Lal, seeing green turtles, stunning fish, and even a box jellyfish. Together we spotted mantas, a hawksbill sea turtle, and enjoyed a magical dolphin cruise at sunset with multiple pods swimming alongside us. From start to finish, this was a faultless trip, made so special by the wonderful team at Moofushi. It truly felt like a second home. We cannot wait to return. Read less
