Constance Moofushi

My wife & I have just returned from a 10 night stay in The Constance Moofushi. It is definitely the best ever all round experience we have had on our travels as from arrival at Male on our BA flight and our departure back to the UK we were looked after in every conceivable way by every staff member that we interacted with. The Constance lounge at the seaplane terminal was most relaxing for our short stay and upon arrival at Moofushi we were met by an entourage of managers & staff in such a warm and friendly way. Check in was seamless and we were given a brief tour of facilities prior to check in to our Beach Villa. We found the villa to be perfect and exactly what we had hoped for as most of our time was to be spent relaxing on the beautiful beach , which at times felt like a private beach as there hardly ever any other guests around. Housekeeping of our villa went above and beyond and our villa seemed to be cleaned and replenished whenever we left the room. Food at the manta restaurant ( buffet - breakfast, lunch & dinner ) was always of really good quality with ‘ themed ‘ dinners changing every night. We also sampled the Alizee à la carte restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food , service & setting on the beach all made for a hugely enjoyable dining experience. We have only occasionally stayed anywhere on an all inclusive basis previously however the food offerings throughout this resort were excellent in both quality and choice. In conclusion this is an absolutely superb resort and we will return at around the same time for another stay in 2027. We chose Constance Moofushi while investigating options with a travel advisor at British Airways ( whom we booked with ) and we were very well advised by them. The thing about the Maldives, is that choosing a resort can get a bit overwhelming. There are islands to suit almost every taste and budget. Lively, quiet, modern, traditional the choice is almost endless. All we can say is that if you are looking for an island of traditional Maldivian beauty, with relaxed effortless luxury, and a vibe that soothes away the stresses of modern life, then look no further. The insane level of repeat guests that Moofushi attracts is testimony enough, this place is very very special. We have to thank all the staff and management for their contribution to delivering a stunning experience. Geeth, Madu and Koko for pairing our food with fabulous wines, Yaabe and Maaiz for looking after us so well in the Manta restaurant. Chef Dilup and Maneesha for the fabulous food, and amazing cooking class. Hishaan and Shaa for always seeking us out with a smile, and of course our fabulous room boy Azuheen. Old friends like Haasan and Rittey always go the extra mile for us, so thank you. And finally we do need to mention GM Mevin. Sadly for the Moofushi regulars Mevin is moving on within the Constance group. He has been responsible for helping create so many memories and special moments, not only for us, but for everybody that visits this wonderful island. This was our third visit to Moofushi and even though we knew we were going to experience the highest standards in all areas, this is a resort which manages to exceed even your highest expectations. First mention must be made of the staff, who are quite exceptional - always smiling, helpful, courteous and willing to do anything to make your holiday even more special. To be welcomed to the atoll by members of the management illustrates their overriding concern to make your stay everything you would wish it to be. We were also remembered by and welcomed by name on several occasions by Dhanna who recalled us from a single meeting off the sea plane a year earlier. Again, this speaks volumes about the way the staff prioritise concern for the welfare of the guests. From landing at Male, there is a seamless and accompanied transfer to the sea plane booking desk and on to the sea plane terminal and then to the welcome at Moofushi. We stayed again in a water villa which was extremely comfortable and looked after superbly by Saffah who always made sure the fridge was re-stocked! (The sparkling wine was a delightful addition from our last visit!) It is difficult to know where to start with praise for the F and B team. The quality, quantity and variety of food was superb with the 2 special evenings while we were there - Valentines Day and The Lunar new year - offering an even more staggering choice of food in beautifully-decorated surroundings. All the front of house staff and sommeliers were helpful and attentive. It seems wrong to single out any member of staff but Aime, Binju, Rasheed and Waseem, should take a bow on behalf of all their colleagues. Thanks must also go to the teams behind the counters and in the kitchen for their sterling work. We choose Constance Moofushi because it cares in many ways for its local community and it was pleasing to see 2 local women providing an option of their own delicious food on the Maldivian evening. The Manta bar provided a delightful way to end the days. Gopan and Kuber - thank you for your conversations and for keeping us well supplied with drinks, and once again to all the staff there for making it so enjoyable. A word of thanks too for Adil and to the staff Maldivian musicians for some delightful entertainment. The spa treatments in a serene setting are, as you would expect, superb, with the massages being both relaxing and rejuvenating. A special thanks to Prajin for all his organisation and to Hari and Peldon for some outstanding treatments. We are already missing them! There are many other teams that we do not see who also contribute to the high standards at Moofushi. To all of you - thank you for your dedication to making this such a special place. The snorkelling on the house reef was so enjoyable once again, with a stunning array of fish of all sizes and colours augmented by turtle, ray and reef shark sightings. And finally. Mevin, you deserve the highest praise for the way you train and manage the teams to provide a first-class service in such a relaxed and stunning environment.
