My husband and I will be returning to Couples Negril for our third visit this July, and we honestly cannot wait. (apologies for the delayed review!) We've traveled to a number of resorts over the years, but Couples Negril is the one that keeps bringing us back. The combination of beautiful grounds, amazing staff, outstanding food, and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere is hard to beat. One of the highlights of our last trip was scuba diving. Richardo encouraged us to get SCUBA certified, and it ended up being one of the best decisions we've ever made. What started as a simple suggestion turned into an incredible experience and a hobby we now enjoy together. The dive operation is fantastic, and the staff made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. The food is consistently excellent. We travel with someone who has celiac disease, and we have been incredibly impressed by how seriously the resort takes dietary restrictions. The staff is always willing to explain menu options, and if they aren't certain about an ingredient, they take the time to check with the chef rather than guess. That level of care means a lot and makes dining stress-free. We also love spending time at the Au Naturel beach. It has become one of our favorite places to relax during the day. A special shout-out to Elkie at the beach bar, who is absolutely wonderful. She is friendly, attentive, and one of those employees who helps make a vacation memorable. The entertainment team does a great job as well. We especially enjoy the beach bonfire nights and the guitar player in the evenings. It's the perfect way to end a day in paradise. For both of our prior visits, we've stayed in block 9 (and are hoping to be there again this year, haha). The location is perfect for us, quiet, with easy access to the AN beach. The fact that we're coming back a third time says everything. Couples Negril has created so many wonderful memories for us, and we're looking forward to making even more this summer. Read less

This was our first time to Jamaica, we booked CN on a recommendation from friends who stayed last year and would now highly recommend it to everyone we know! We have visited many places in the Caribbean over the years and would put Couples Negril at the top of our list. There is something very special about this hotel and you can see why so many guests return. Everything is really relaxed, no wrist band like other all-inclusives, no rush to put your towel on a sun bed to save it at an unearthly hour, no booking times for restaurants except 1 so you can turn up at leisure, having all the water sport activities included means no need to budget, it’s all amazing. What stood out most was the staff at Couples Negril, everyone of them were lovely in their own way, I can’t praise them enough. We had a beach front room in block 6 and although near the restaurant, heard no noise. The bed was really comfortable, air con good, lovely smelling toiletries, abundant supply of soft towels and I felt the maids worked hard to keep it clean. The best bit was when I ordered spirits for the mini bar on their app, I got a litre bottle! Food in all the restaurants was of a high standard, there was so much choice you couldn’t fail to find something you liked. I especially enjoyed the veggie bar and the ice cream machine! The evening entertainment was excellent, a variety of professional singers and musicians, my favourite being the fire on the beach with a great guitarist. The only thing is most people seem to go to bed early as the piano bar would often be almost empty after 10pm. Personally I would have preferred to have the DJ on more evenings instead of Karaoke and the sing a long, but I know they have to cater for everyone. The perfect end to our holiday was when they allowed us to keep our room on at no extra cost until we needed to leave, having a night flight, we were able to enjoy our last day to the full. However we were unfortunate to have an unusually wet week for May which stopped us from venturing outside of the hotel so we are hoping to return next year to experience more of the this great island. My Wife and I just returned from 5 nights at this amazing resort. Once through security at the airport, a gentleman took our bags and tagged them for the bus ride to the resort. While we waited for the bus, we enjoyed some Red Stripe from the Couples Lounge. We were only in the lounge enough time to use the restroom and get a couple beers for the trip to Negril. Once outside we were informed we would be getting private transportation. This was a surprise as we did not book private transportation. The Couples Lounge workers loaded our bags onto a nice BMW SUV for our trip. Once at the resort we were immediately blown away with the beauty of the whole place. We were handed a cool towel and a glass of sparkling wine. We were then informed our Beachfront Suite room was not ready and that it would be ready in an hour or 2. We were given access to room 1109 to use until our room was ready. We noticed that even though 1109 was a garden room, it was still beautiful inside and out, the balcony had a great view of the spa area gardens and ponds. While waiting for our room we got a couple drinks from the bar and went to the Cassava Terrace for dinner. My wife had Honey Glazed Chicken and vegetables, and I had Jerk Pork with Conch Soup. The food was great and way better than what we were expecting from reading other reviews. After dinner and a few drinks, we headed back to the lobby to see if our room was ready, it was not. BUT Shaquelle Blair (Manager in training) took very good care of us. We were given a resort credit and a complementary 60-minute couple's massage! Not too much longer later our room was ready. We were in room 5307 on the edge of the property. We loved it, the view was amazing. Half of the view is a beautiful tropical garden, and the other half was the beach and a great view of Bloody Bay. The rooms are very well furnished. The bed is super comfortable, and the bathroom area is massive. The balcony had 2 chairs and a table where we would eat our room service breakfast in the mornings as well as a very nice hammock that had a straight view of the beach and ocean. For lunch we really enjoyed the Veggie Bar. They had so many healthy and fresh options. The spring rolls and Avocado Wraps were probably our favorites there. There is also a Grill next to the veggie bar where you can get Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Nachos, Jamaican Patties (Beef and Chicken) as well as fresh juice and even ice cream cones. This grill would be open to sometimes 3am. Behind the grill and on the beach, there is a nice restaurant with great views of the beach and ocean. We only went to this place a couple times, but the food was very good. They had things like Jerk Chicken, Burgers, Fish Tacos and a lot more. We went to the fancy restaurant (Otaheite) 2 times it was very good. You do have to make reservations a day in advance for this restaurant, but it is well worth it. This restaurant also requires men to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. We had a seafood tasting appetizer and for the main we got a very good steak and Salmon with Scallops. This restaurant has a very romantic vibe with a great view of the sunset on the ocean. The water sports crew was a lot of fun. We went on 2 snorkeling excursions included at the resort. They do these at 930am as well as 130pm. You need to show up 15 minutes early so you can get sized for flippers and get your life vest and snorkeling gear if you did not bring your own. They will take you out past Booby Cay to a sunken cannon and anchor that have been there for hundreds of years. We saw Jellyfish, Urchins so many different colored fish. This was a blast and the crew made it fun! You will get back to the resort around an hour and fifteen minutes after you first get there. Outside of building 5 there is a pool with a secluded hot tub that is surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. The sounds of the birds and the frogs make it very peaceful. This pool and hot tub felt like a private area for us since not many people used it. While we were there the resort was near 60 % capacity and we only saw 2 or 3 other couples using that area the whole time we were there. It was empty most of the time. The beach was perfect; there are many areas that are shaded by the trees that are on the beach. There were always many chairs empty. You do not have to worry about waking up to secure a chair like other resorts. We loved bringing the chairs to the edge of the water and just watching the waves hit the shore. The swimming area they have roped off was also very nice. The depth of the water did change day to day. Going all the way out to the ropes would sometimes only be waist deep and sometimes it would be chest high. The water was clear and the beach was very well maintained. We went to the coffee shop every morning and the young lady working there named Younique, was so sweet and made very good drinks. We really enjoyed seeing her smiling face in the mornings. Overall, this was the best trip we have ever went on and we are already planning our next trip. No complaints at all. We were sad to leave but are very excited to return! Read less

All the staff were wonderful at the coffee bar, the grill, and the buffet! Lindon & Roy at the main bar were both excellent, and I recommend the Manhattan straight-up! Housekeeping was very professional and we had a clean & tidy room every day when we came up from the beach. The water sport staff was great, England gives an excellent sailing lesson! Having the sailboat, paddle boards, and other items included is an added perk to the resort. Also, the included excursions are an added value. We did the sunset catamaran cruise and had a great time hosted by the cruise director Dex, Captain Roy, and three mates. The rooms are nice with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. There was some road noise as the building we were in was near the main road around the island. The tree frogs were quite vocal, which I guess that is to be expected in an island paradise. We enjoyed the Piano Bar as our evening spot with activities varying each night from Karoke, piano sing along, and dancing! May was rainy, so we did have afternoon showers four of six days. Took that time for a nap, or a bite to eat until it passed over. The resort vibe is calm and relaxing for adults only. The music from the pool area was a good mix and volume. Fun but not deafening! We were robbed $80 from our housekeeper and all of our belongings were visibly rifled through (passports, checkbooks). There are many resorts in Jamaica you do not need to stay somewhere where you are under an illusion of safety but all the while you’re being scammed as if you were at a roadside motel. Skip this one.
