There is so much to say about Dhigali Maldives, it is truly the most beautiful island with so much to explore. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with direct access to the beach where you can lounge and snorkel. We visited during a quieter season so had no problem booking the restaurants, activities or excursions via the app. Even if it was busy, all it takes is a bit of pre-planning to ensure you secure the spaces you want. The buggy service was also really helpful, although you can walk from one side of the island to the other in less than 20 mins whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife. The premium all inclusive package was truly that, so many options that there’s no need to spend a penny while you’re there. Food was incredible with lots of options for vegetarians (additional options were available upon request). Anything of an extra charge was clearly stated. The level of customer service was like no other, all staff were so attentive and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Shout out to Naseem for the fun game of beach volleyball, and Sri for the dreamy yoga session & Gua Sha class! Highlights of the trip were the dolphin cruise (we managed to see them although it’s not guaranteed!) sunset cruise, and the sunset saxophone night at Haali Bar. All in all, we had a perfect stay from start to finish, and we dream of going back to Dhigali Maldives one day soon. Read less

Dhigali was the ultimate paradise. When we booked we had our reservations about the weather due to August being monsoon season in the Maldives but oh my goodness did we get lucky! We stayed on the island for 10 days and 8 and a half of those days were pure sunshine! (We stayed 20th August - 30th August). Upon arrival from the Sea Plane we were greeted by staff and also the hotel manager Christian who not only were lovely but greeted us by name, offering a really personal touch from the get go. The facilities on the island were outstanding and spotless. Everywhere was clean and it was very obvious the island has been very well maintained and cared for. We stayed in a beach front villa with a plunge pool and outdoor bathroom. Again, absolutely spotless. Room service came to clean the room twice a day and mini bar was restocked once a day. We felt for a couple, there was plenty in the fridges for us to drink. We didn’t spend too much time in the room anyway and often found ourselves at the East bar. We did both the glass bottom boat and also the dolphin cruise where we were told it wasn’t a guarantee on what we would see and whether there would be any dolphins. This didn’t make us nervous or sad as it was a free trip and you can’t predict the schedules of dolphins and the sea life. Saying this, we saw a pod of what we believe to be about 50 spinner dolphins and saw a sea turtle on the glass bottom boat. We were in awe the whole time! We booked to do the snorkelling trip which was $75 each. We had taken our own snorkels and masks on holiday with us but It was heavily suggested that we were to use the snorkel, mask and flippers provided by the dive centre. We went along with it but as we were on the trip, other guests used their own snorkels and masks so although it says you cannot use your own gear, we wished we had taken ours. Again the staff on the trip were amazing and were also ensuring to keep us as a group. Our stay was absolutely paradise and the rest that we needed so badly. The staff were so kind and attentive and we felt so looked after everywhere on the island. Just a few things to note that we wished we knew before beginning our holiday: - beach bags were provided by the resort and were a really good size! - towels were provided and if you left them in the room, there were more at the bars so you didn’t have to go back. - USD is the currency used on the island and you can pay in cash. - book the restaurants on the apps 2 days before. The only thing that let us down was some of the other guests. We are under no illusions that everyone is kind and cares for others and we understand cultures are different and people have different dining manners and behaviours but this was truly highlighted in the way that some of the other guests spoke to the staff. We were gobsmacked by how rude some people were. With this being said, the staff handled every situation with utmost professionalism and dealt with it so well. This was the only downside in our experience whole holiday and it was completely out of anyone’s control. To finish off this review, a mention of some of the amazing staff at Dhigali. Win was an absolute godsend and looked after us constantly and recommended some amazing dishes at the restaurants, specifically Jade. There was a really lovely server on the East Bar while we were there but we cannot remember his name! He spoke to us about everything! We loved learning about his culture and he liked learning about ours. Tiari was amazing, so kind and remembered our names the whole stay. Ji was also lovely and if we had any questions was happy to answer them. Grace was so sweet and made the most amazing drinks! Ashfag was just amazing and took care of us when we dined at Jade. A truly memorable holiday and experience. Read less
