Back from a wonderful 7 day vacation at this amazing resort. 1st off its a small resort, not a lot of people, you get to know the guests if you choose to. You talk, you coo at the babies, smile at the littles and say hello when you see each other. That is a bonus in my opinion. The food is what you make it, if you want bacon ask for it, if you want chicken or pork for breakfast you can have that too! Lunch was great no matter where we ate, at the beach cafe, or the buffet. Supper was superb in all the restaurants we ate at. Oceana has some of the best salmon I have ever had. The meatballs at the Italian restaurant slice like a soft piece of bread, the way they should. The tomato pasta was lacking the same flavours we might use in Canada or the US but we are in Mexico, if the restaurant isn’t to your liking go to another one! If you want bacon everyday, buy preferred, its in the small lounge every day. Room service is amazing , pizza, club sandwich and the breakfast 😊. The swings by the beach are heavenly and the coffee in the coffee bar, you can get however you want, cold or hot. If they have lemon tarts, get them! The rooms are ok, beds are comfy pillows are great and the air conditioning worked. If noise from others might bother you, ask for a fan for some white noise, problem solved. The beach is manmade (I think), there are rocks placed so that the sargassum doesn’t come in but little fishes do. Its wonderful to see kids playing in the sand, using the paddle boards and kayaks. The staff at this resort are some of the best I have come across in my travels. They get the kids involved, even my mostly introverted 15 year old. There was so much to do we didn’t do any excursions, we enjoyed the resort, the people and the staff! If you have any questions and want to pm me, I will answer if I can. My advice, just go, be adventurous, try the different foods, the Mexican coffee and speak to your neighbour sitting beside you! 🌴🌺🐠🦜 Read less

Guadalupe in the spa has magic hands. The relaxation message was much needed and she delivered. She is very professional and sweet. So great that I ended up having another message with her before I returned home.

this may be lengthy as we stayed for 28 days but there is a lot to review. 1st - checkin - we arrived 9:00 pm and had booked a preferred stay, were immediately taken to the checkin area and within 5 minutes had a drink in hand and on the way to our room, bags delivered 5 minutes later. Service - could not have been better, we have been to many resorts throughout mexico and the carribean and we both agree that the people and the service were by far the best we have ever experienced. From Natalie and Karen who I believe are managers, to beach and pool concierges ( Franceso, Erick and Roberto) who are among the hardest working people I have ever met, to the fantastic bar and wait staff throughout the resort and of course housekeeping who never failed to clean our room at the same time everyday, down to even security who knew our room number everytime we left the resort and returned, amazing. Restaurants - 28 days and we never had a bad meal. Oceania was probably our favourite, but Seaside Grill for steak or fish, Portafino for Italian, were also very good. Even the preferred lounge puts out a small buffet for quick breakfasts, lunches or dinners which is great for those days when you may not be very hungry and want to eat and run. The hotel - grounds are spotless and the hotel is very clean, you see people constantly going around cleaning public washrooms, cleaning pools, raking beaches or picking up food trays and other trash left behind by guests. Of course with all the good there are bound to be some short comings. 1) There is no place to sit and enjoy a quite evening drink. My wife thought it would be easy to place 3 or 4 tables outside Oceania in the evening as there is a bar right there and it is a quiet spot. 2) The preferred pool could be adults only. There is a small section of the pool near the swim up bar that is posted as adults only, however with 1 small sign on a bridge and kids constantly follow their parents into this area and it is up to the concierges to notify them but some parents are either clueless or just don't care and refuse to tell the kids to leave the area. Perhaps more signage could help but that was among my biggest peeves. If these are the biggest issues you can see that this resort is a very good place to vacation. Would we return again ? definitely, from the people to the quality of the food and resort in general to the safe and accessible Aventuras area it has earned a place on our must return list. Read less
