If you are looking for the big resort with splashy night club life don't go to Dreams Aventuras! This place is a gem for people who like the smaller resort feel and believe me they are trying to give you the "big" resort feel. I would highly recommend for people with small children and couples who don't mind having kids around. We had an absolute fabulous time there. We also loved the ability to walk off the resort and explore the marina and other walking paths in Puerto Aventuras. Our 4th trip here in 25 years was beautiful. Read less

I was ready to leave the moment we got there. The food was so bad we ate off the resort for every meal. Drinks were all fake and watered down. Even at the preferred section where you’re supposed to get higher shelf alcohol. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. Even at the preferred section where you’re supposed to get higher shelf alcohol. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. For a medium to higher end price point resort, it’s not that I felt it was more expensive than it should be, it’s that paying any money to this resort was too much. It was unacceptable in every category. Food, drinks, accommodations, service… all really bad. Not like other resorts where the food isn’t great, but you make do. We stopped eating there all together. Avoid this place like the plague Read less

Dreams Adventura is honestly the worst AMR resort I have ever been to. It is not deserving of the brand at all. The food was horrendous. The staff did their best, honestly, but the food was horrendous. The liqueur top shelf was non existent. The elevator was missing buttons, so there were certain floors you could not get to. It's just a bad hotel.… Read more
Dreams Adventura is honestly the worst AMR resort I have ever been to. It is not deserving of the brand at all. The food was horrendous. The staff did their best, honestly, but the food was horrendous. The liqueur top shelf was non existent. The elevator was missing buttons, so there were certain floors you could not get to. It's just a bad hotel. Like, I don't even know how to begin to explain it. I went because I needed a quick one-to-one exchange night, and yes, it was lesser than other Dreams hotels, but I still did not expect that low level of yucky. For example, for breakfast, you the usual oatmeal station? No. They had this milk mixture egg thingy in a milk gallon that they would pour. It was nasty. Instead of cracking actual eggs. When I asked for bacon, there was no bacon. They had to go get me crumbs from the back. To get decent food, you had to go to Preferred Lounge. It was just not a fit to be called a Dreams or AMR. It was terrible. Notable mentions who went above and beyond were Emilio at the front, Jose at Oceana, Ararely and Esther at the spa. Read less

This is an outstanding kid-friendly resort! I have been south many times, but this resort was exceptional. It’s small enough to be great for kids, but big enough to have lots of selection in food, restaurants, activities. Everything is really close together – the beach, the pools, the bars, the buffet, the lunch grill - instead of the long walks that you get at other resorts, which is difficult for kids. The rooms were not too far away. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful all the time. The pools are not crowded. There is even a warm pool, which is great for the last swim of the day with kids or when it rains. The beach area is perfect for playing with kids and the area is very enclosed for swimming and it’s shallow for a very long time. The a la carte restaurants do not require dinner reservations - which is again super kid-friendly because if you’re having fun, you’re not held to a dinner reservation. There are lots of fun activities during the day and good shows at night. There are so many kids at this resort – especially preschool kids. I can’t say enough positive – I am definitely going back next year. I traveled with my two-year-old grandson – it was perfect. Read less
