Service is top notch. Everyone is so friendly. Literally everyone that worked at the resort was pleasant and said hello. Our last night we ate at Gohan, which is wonderful, and they surprised us with a special dessert as a thank you for our stay.

Our stay at Dreams Aventura Riviera Maya was excellent, and the service throughout the resort was outstanding. However, be cautious of the sales representatives in the lobby offering a “free” trip to the Tulum ruins in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation. The presentation is actually a sales pitch for vacation packages, lasted much longer than promised, and involved high-pressure tactics. The final representative we spoke with was rude, sarcastic, and unpleasant. My advice: If you don’t want to spend half of a day in a sales presentation, politely decline and enjoy your vacation instead. Read less

My husband and I just returned with our 2 kids (4 and 7). While I don't usually write reviews, wanted to share our experience. PROS: -Several staff members were truly outstanding. Jessie in the Preferred Lounge, the Mixology bartender, and the entertainment team at the pool and events (like the beach white‑noise dance and the mixology activity) all made a great impression. -Our room was always very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. We had no issues at all with the room. -While the sargassum got significantly worse during our stay, the beach crew worked tirelessly to clear it. Unfortunately, the seaweed was so heavy that we couldn’t use the beach, but the effort from the staff was clear. -LOTS of families at this resort so our kiddos always had friends to make which we really enjoyed. -Puerto Adventures- We did enjoy being able to walk around the town, and the dolphin experience was a fun highlight for our family. CONS: -Kids Club: Our kids usually love kids clubs at other resorts, so we came in with high expectations, but this one missed the mark. It often didn’t open on time — several mornings we were told to wait, and once it didn’t open until 10:15. Some staff also felt unfriendly and disengaged, which set a disappointing tone. We also thought it was strange that parents couldn’t see the full room where the kids spend their time. Our kids still made the best of it, but there’s definitely room for improvement, and families who prioritize kids club should keep this in mind. We heard the same from other families there as well. -Pool cleanliness- they were not clean at all. We did see cleaning in the morning but definitely need to do this over the whole day. -Food- We went in with low expectations, but honestly they still weren’t low enough. Most of the restaurant staff were great, but the food itself was very hit or miss. We know this isn’t a 5‑star resort, but we’ve stayed at many others in the area and the overall quality here just didn’t compare. Sadly cons outweighed the pros so we will not return. Read less

We stayed a week at the HYATT Riviera Maya Dreams Resort where you dream of going back home as soon as you see and SMELL the disgusting seaweed (sargassum). They show you private beach you paid for so your kids can swim safely in the protected cove. The beach is not accessible for any reason. At all. And they keep your money. They say all you can do is provide feedback on the survey. They watch customer after customer come in and be filled with this disappointment.. management says people leave early all the time even knowing they are not getting a refund. That’s how bad it is!
