First off, the staff were great. Other than one restaurant server, everyone was very pleasant. Some bartenders were obviously pros, others that seemed to be watching the bar were clueless. The food wasn’t all that great. The buffets were disappointing as the food was mostly cold and small by comparison to other buffets we’ve experienced at smaller resorts. We’re use to adults only and we’ll be going back after our experience here. They really need an adults only area. The gift shops closed and were packing up while we were there. It’s a really bad look. The room itself wasn’t as pictured. The “swim out” room wasn’t a swim out at all. Just a little pool outside the room with no connection to a pool. Our view was of a restaurant. Overall a very disappointing paid “upgrade”. The preferred club isn’t much of a perk. My suggestion is to make preferred club adults only so it would be worth something. We yield that we’re not the target market. We’re parents travelling without our grown kids so this is not a destination we would even entertain in the future. Read less

Location was great. It is in a large residential area (Puerto Adventuras) with other resorts, condos, a shopping area with a lot of restaurants, a marina, and a dolphin and manatee encounter. Location was great. It is in a large residential area (Puerto Adventuras) with other resorts, condos, a shopping area with a lot of restaurants, a marina, and a dolphin and manatee encounter. We walked out to the main road and went shopping at a supermarket (similar to a small Walmart). The atmosphere was geared mainly to families, but I enjoyed it (I am 61). The rooms and balcony were very spacious, and the view over the pools and beach was fabulous and spectacular, especially at sunrise. The shower was gigantic, and the beds were comfortable. Pillows were a little lumpy. The entire resort was spotless and well-maintained. Noise level was good, but the birds were a little loud in the mornings (not a problem for me). My room was on the 3rd floor near the elevators, and since the lobby is open some nights, it was loud from people talking and singing too loudly, but this usually ended at 11:00. It bothered me as we had to be up early for excursions. Service was excellent, even in the restaurants when they were super busy. The hotel offered an option of excellent excursions. We enjoyed the 3 cenotes, a trip to Chichen Itza, and a catamaran sailing/snorkeling trip with lunch and an open bar. Read less

Staying here at the moment and to be honest for an international hotel chain this one has no idea of organisation.. they have a big Thanksgiving meal on the beach which has over an hour wait for a table, they close all but 2 Al a Carte restaurants down which also left us with over an hours wait for a table not something I want to be doing on my holiday. The ‘Preffered’ club seems to have little to no benefits as you can’t make a reservation for a restaurant and you still have to wait as long as others. The ‘turn down’ service is hit and miss at best out of 6 nights we’ve had full service once, no service 3 times and part service twice. Our balcony hasn’t not been cleaned since we’ve got here as it’s full of dead flies but they did replace a broken lamp I reported within a few hours so well done on one count! Today plastic cups at the bar in the ‘Preffered’ club area were only half the size of the previous days so double the trips to the bar or we had to double up the orders for table service again. All problems may seem petty/minor but they all add up and contribute to spoiling our holiday and I know that we will not be returning to this hotel anytime soon. Read less

Property needs updating and renovated. Staff was amazing. That’s the only thing good I have to say. Good was just okay. Nothing great about food. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I knew it was updated. If you are used to staying at Hyatt hotels and resorts, this is not a property that is to the standards of Hyatt. I wish I could add videos, but I… Read more
