In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Every single member of staff went above and beyond – they would literally do anything to make your stay perfect. A very special thank you goes to our incredible butler, Nicole, who was an absolute star throughout our stay. Her knowledge and experience of the resort shone through in everything she did. Nothing was ever too much trouble – from arranging special touches to making sure every single detail of our trip ran smoothly, she truly made us feel like royalty. We can’t thank her enough.
We stayed in an Ocean Villa, and it was everything we had dreamed of and more. Waking up each morning to that breathtaking view of the ocean was something we’ll never forget. Having our own private pool felt like luxury on another level, and soaking in the bath with uninterrupted views of the sea was just surreal.
The food was outstanding, especially in the à la carte restaurants – so much variety, flavour, and attention to detail. Even at the buffet, if there wasn’t something that took your fancy, all you had to do was ask and they’d happily make something just for you. That level of service and personal touch made all the difference.
We made the most precious memories during our stay and it honestly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But saying that, we would go back in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a place where every moment feels special, every view takes your breath away, and every need is catered for before you even realise you have it – Emerald Faarufushi is the place.
