It is our first time to visit a resort of this caliber and boy, was it an experience. I don't think we can visit any other country or another resort after this experience for a vacation haha. Thank you all for giving us such a memorable and hospitable time! We would especially like to mention our favorite boi Tharif, who took care of us every moment of every day. We could feel how attentive you were to us and just in general as a villa host. Thank you for being so sweet and caring! We thank Kimesh at housekeeping for keeping our abode spotless and fresh every single morning and evening, and it was so nice of you to take care of Bart, Bunny, and Hyndoongi (white puppy) who have also come to enjoy the Maldives with us :) Thanks to Timal who was especially kind and attentive to us at our last dinner here at Faarufushi, it was such a pleasure to be served by you and get to talk with you. We also can't forget Nina the sommelier for taking care of our drinking needs at every turn. Every time we saw you we knew we were not just in for a good time, but also in for good company. Fourth visit and continued to impress and surpass expectations…

We have just returned from our fourth stay at Emerald Faarufushi, and once again, this incredible resort completely blew us away. We loved seeing so many familiar faces who have been there since our very first visit. The warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality of the entire team is unparalleled! This extends from the gardening team and Ketut from house keeping through to the management team. A special mention must also go to the resort management team, Patrick and Rao, who were constantly present, visible, and checking in on us every day to ensure we were having the absolute best stay. That level of leadership genuinely reflects in the flawless service across the resort. Another special thanks to our Villa host Tharif for coordinating an amazing trip. The culinary journey at Faarufushi is one of things we love most at the resort. The restaurant and front-of-house teams; including Ammy, Shinaz, Aisar, Sahib, Timal, Priyanka, Rohit, Prabuddha, Zihan, Ibraheim, Anisa and Yasir provided incredibly attentive and warm service at every single meal. Chef Sameera always, without fail, goes the extra mile to create something spectacular. Chef Sudarshana also deserves a huge thanks for giving us our absolute best dining experience at the Teppanyaki. And, Chefs Donny, Awanthi, and Afridi, thank you all for your incredible talent and dedication. For the wine lovers, the Sommelier Team is a dream. A huge, special thank you to Joseph and his team (all four members are exceptionally warm, attentive, and knowledgeable). They expertly matched the best wines to our meals every night. The vibrant energy at the bars always made our evenings. Sonu, Ishika, Sundar, Ruwan, Lalith, Akash and rest of the bar team were fantastic, and a massive thanks to the brilliant female bartender Ishika who crafts the best spicy margaritas on the island! This trip was a perfect balance of relaxation and activity. On the fitness front, Milan was brilliant, keeping us motivated and energized. Our wellness journey was beautifully anchored by Sonwal, who provided us with the absolute best yoga experience over a four-day program. This was paired with the amazing spa treatments that were matched to our yoga wellness experience, leaving us feeling completely rejuvenated. The padel and tennis teacher was absolutely brilliant, offering fantastic coaching and great energy. To the entire team: thank you for making our fourth visit just as magical as our first! Emerald faarufushi couples stay

We've been to the Maldives a few times and emerald faarufushi was hands down the best resort we've stayed in I'm not sure I could really fault a single thing from the resort - the food was excellent with Le Asiatique restaurant being a clear favourite, although the teppanyaki was amazing too Lunch at the beach grill was delicious and the local sommelier was very knowledgeable and always helped us pick out fantastic wines to go with our meal The team were able to cater for my gluten intolerance and offered some specific GF breakfast pastry options (although they needed to be "ordered" the day before) The spa was wonderfully relaxing (thoroughly enjoyed my massage) and the island itself is beautiful The Eclipse bar is a wonderful place to go for an evening drink and the Jetty is a great place to jump in and catch a glimpse of the local wildlife (although stay away from the Titan Triggerfish - they're grumpy buggers) The island has a wonderfully relaxed vibe, not too noisy or crowded but with events and evenings on throughout the week if you're after activities etc. Shout out to Nicole who looked after us for our stay - we shall definitely be back (but not before we visit the sister resort - Emerald Maldives - later this year!) Would absolutely recommend!

We would recommend this hotel (we came for our honeymoon). We spent some time researching other hotels at a similar price point but settled on this one due to the outstanding reviews. We are pleased to report that this place does indeed live up to expectations (and glowing reviews). Rooms We spent 7 nights here (3 X beach villa and 4 X over the water villa with pool). There are pros and cons for each villa but, on balance, they are special in their own way. There are bicycles outside each villa which is convenient when you need to hop-foot it to your next activity! Restaurants We were apprehensive that we might get bored of the food with the all-inclusive package but there are different restaurants to choose from with a myriad of genres and food selection. There are also sommeliers who will help you with the inclusive wine selection (fancy). You’ll only wish that you had two stomachs to eat everything. We are definitely going back heavier than when we arrived as we found the food excellent; chef’s kiss. Activities There were a lot of things to do at the resort from snorkelling/sea sports to padel to massages to dolphin watching. Some activities are complementary, and some are chargeable. The prices are as to be expected at a resort but all activities were thoroughly enjoyable. We did the “Heart of the House” tour (complementary) where we glimpsed behind the curtain of the resort (i.e., where the resort gets its water and how waste is managed) which was actually superb. Staff Finally, we must commend the staff. Everyone here from server to security guard to villa host to management deserves a gold star. There is a difference between service and hospitality, (forgive the pretentiousness) and this place gets it right. Everyone is willing to literally bend over backwards to look after you. We were impressed by the professionalism, warmth, care, and pride in work that each person exhibits. This is testament to the general manager Patrick who is ever-present and personable. A special shout out to our villa host, Fayaz, who organised our life for the week with a smile and F&B manager, Arres, who checked in on us every day. All we can say is have high expectations, and watch them be exceeded. Read less

Apekcha was our dedicated butler throughout our stay. Young, vibrant and lovely, she paid close attention to every little detail of our trip with great patience and thoughtfulness, offering thoughtful reminders and impeccable service. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Emerald Faru, and these days have become an unforgettable memory for our whole family. Thanks to Apekcha and the resort team, our romantic anniversary setup, delicious floating breakfast and surprise excursion to spot sea turtles and manta rays were perfectly arranged. My wife and daughter had an amazing time. Boasting pristine turquoise waters, this island is a true paradise for vacation. I will highly recommend Emerald Faru to all my friends. The stunning emerald scenery is etched in our hearts forever, and we sincerely hope to come back and reunite with you all again someday. Read less
