Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

80 Beach and Overwater villas. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, iPod docking station, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities and daily refreshed mini-bar. Beach Villas have an open-air bathroom and private furnished patio with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Deluxe All-Inclusive includes: breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and La Asiatique). Selected premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water.

Beach Villas with Pool have a front-row access to Faaruhushi’s white-sand beach, and a private covered patio with lounge furniture, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ideal for families the Family Beach Villa with Pool have a separate twin bedroom, as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a patio over the sea plus a private infinity pool with direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Sunset Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a private covered patio with lounge furniture, private infinity pool, and direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults

Superior Water Villas with Pool are located at the end of jetty, and have a private infinity pool, patio over the sea, lounge area, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

We spent the most memorable and wonderful four nights in Faarufushi! We met so many incredible people there, all of whom were very polite, kind, and helpful. We also experienced beautiful beaches, stunning water houses, exquisite meals, relaxing massages, and warm service. Especially our villa host Nicole, her service was attentive, she helped us arrange our itinerary every day, and responded to messages very quickly. Such a proper arrangement allowed us to not worry about other things too much and enjoy this trip. We are very grateful to her! In addition, we also met the enthusiastic bartender Ronak Shetty, who made our last night of the trip unforgettable and interesting memories! We hope that if there is another opportunity, we can return to Faarufushi and experience the beautiful scenery of this island once again! Read less

I have written this review 4 times now and TA is insisting it has been written by AI - what can I say, surely that shows that all of the adjectives that I used to describe Emerald Faarufushi must have been exemplary! So here we go again, hopefully this one will get through as we are desperate to show our appreciation to the staff...Our recent 10 night stay in an overwater villa with sunset views at Emerald Faarufushi was quite literally, a dream holiday from start to finish and went beyond our expectations. It ticked every box and more! From the moment we landed at Malé airport, everything was seamless. The seaplane transfer was an experience in itself, the incredible views of the atolls are not to missed. Once we arrived at the resort, we discovered our overwater villa was absolutely stunning and really spacious (shout-out to room 321). The room was thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need – right down to a fizz stopper for our wine! The biggest wow factor at the resort for us though has to be the crystal-clear waters and the reef. We found ourselves constantly stopping on our way to breakfast, totally in awe of the water and what we could see below. Snorkelling from the house reef was incredible and we can't recommend enough a visit off the jetty near the Eclipse bar. Something else that we loved was that you could walk, swim, cycle or simply stroll around the entire island, taking in the beauty at your own pace. The dining and drink experience was also impressive. The restaurants and drinks were consistently of an extremely high standard and with enough options to keep things different throughout our whole stay. While the resort itself is undeniably beautiful, what truly sets Emerald Faarufushi apart is its staff. We can't say enough how every single person went above and beyond. Our island host, Kumar, was very responsive and incredibly helpful with every request. Our fantastic housekeeper, Kumlish, is someone we'll never forget; his dedication and attention to detail were exceptional. Sommelier Sean and Joseph were not only knowledgeable about their wines but also a genuine pleasure to chat with. Fernando, the head chef for Aqua, made us feel like true VIPs, cooking a number of special dishes just for us. And Chinna at the Sunset Bar was without a doubt the coolest person going and made everything look effortless - you were a pleasure to chat with. Beyond those named above, there are so many more we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to for making our stay unforgettable: Rabiol, Ori, Rao, Shinaz, Patrick, Rohit, Kamil, Yasir, Priyanka, Sairam, Aniket, Kasun and Mija, to name just a few. This was without a doubt, the best place we have ever been. We felt completely disconnected from the outside world. It didn't rain, and the scenery was extremely beautiful. We stayed in a sunset - view room, and we could enjoy a super - beautiful sunset at night, which was perfect for taking pictures. The food was also delicious. I particularly loved the Mediterranean restaurant and highly recommend the foie gras burger. Besides, there was a wide variety of beverages. During our stay, we tried many different drinks, and I especially liked the melon coco punch.Highly recommended! Read less
