Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

80 Beach and Overwater villas. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, iPod docking station, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities and daily refreshed mini-bar. Beach Villas have an open-air bathroom and private furnished patio with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Deluxe All-Inclusive includes: breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and La Asiatique). Selected premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water.

Beach Villas with Pool have a front-row access to Faaruhushi’s white-sand beach, and a private covered patio with lounge furniture, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ideal for families the Family Beach Villa with Pool have a separate twin bedroom, as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a patio over the sea plus a private infinity pool with direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Sunset Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a private covered patio with lounge furniture, private infinity pool, and direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults

Superior Water Villas with Pool are located at the end of jetty, and have a private infinity pool, patio over the sea, lounge area, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

It's a beautiful island. Safe, clean and quietness. It's very suitable for a vacation. The host Kumar is a good man who can solve all problem.

We split our stay between the overwater villa and the beach pool villa. Kumar was our villa host throughout and was excellent. No matter the request big or small it was actioned and resolved so quickly. All the staff are wonderful and cannot help you enough. We split our stay between the overwater villa and the beach pool villa. Kumar was our villa host throughout and was excellent. No matter the request big or small it was actioned and resolved so quickly. All the staff are wonderful and cannot help you enough. Particularly we found Supreeti who worked tirelessly to provide the wine recommendations and ensured we were never left with an empty glass at dinner. Ares was an ever present at breakfast and always greeted us by name and made the experience personal. We would recommend the snorkelling trip as the dive guides were amazing and their free diving ability was incredible which allowed for some of the best videos of the Manta! The food everywhere is excellent. The Italian buffet evening is top. The room attendant we had at the beach villa was amazing and provided some lovely touches each evening including a petal bath ready on our return from dinner. We would / will be returning again that is for sure! Read less

The island is stunning, we spent time in both a Sunset over water villa and beach villa and both were absolutely beautiful, well maintained and spotlessly clean. All inclusive offering the best we have ever experienced but as others as have said, it’s the staff that make it. All staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be, special thanks to our villa host Kumar who answered all our questions and requests in super quick time! Almost immediately as we asked, it was done… including arranging thoughtful room touches to celebrate a special occasion. Would also very much recommend the turtle / manta ray excursion which is 100% worth the cost. The diving team were exceptional. Already planning our next trip. Read less

Our stay at Emerald Faarufushi was truly unforgettable. The island's food, snorkeling, and service were all excellent. Special thanks to all the staff who helped us during our trip. Food – There are 5 restaurants and 2 bars on the island, each with different operating hours. Only Auaq Restaurant serves breakfast, while all restaurants are open for dinner. We especially enjoyed the Beach Club Grill and the Mediterraneo restaurant. Both bars were great – Vido, the bartender at Sunset Bar, made me a fantastic Negroni. He’s from Indonesia, very friendly, and we had a wonderful chat. The other bar, Eclipse, has a beautiful overwater setting perfect for sunsets. At night, underwater lights attract tropical fish and even sharks. Accommodation – Our Housemanager, Aslan, provided exceptional service. He always responded instantly on WeChat, answered all our questions, and pre-booked all our restaurant reservations, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Also, whenever we called the front desk for a buggy, one would arrive at our villa within 5–10 minutes. Snorkeling – The water villa views were stunning, though there weren’t many corals nearby. The best snorkeling spot was near Eclipse Bar, where there’s a deep channel filled with tropical fish. Be careful, though – the currents are stronger near the drop-off. Overall, it was a memorable experience. Thanks to everyone mentioned above, and we hope to return someday. Read less
