I had an absolutely unforgettable time at Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa. Though the island isn’t large, this turns out to be one of its biggest strengths—everything feels incredibly convenient. From rock-solid WiFi speeds to zipping around on complimentary bikes to restaurants, snorkeling spots, and beaches, it made exploring effortless and fun. The natural surroundings are breathtaking. Pristine beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and jaw-dropping sunsets create a postcard-perfect paradise that left me in awe every day. The staff’s friendliness stands out—everyone greets you with genuine smiles and warm hellos. Their service-first attitude truly shines through, making you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for from arrival to departure. Each group of guests is assigned a dedicated butler, and ours, Apekcha, was a standout. She’s incredibly friendly, proactive in recommending and arranging activities, and made our 5-night stay seamless and joyful. Apekcha always thought from our perspective, advocating for us, meeting every need, and handling all the details. Every evening, she’d send our next day’s itinerary, and she’d check in daily to ensure we were thrilled with our plans. Food quality is impressive, with diverse options across the restaurants. While some dishes aren’t perfectly authentic to their origins, the flavors are consistently delicious and well-executed. I highly recommend booking dinner at Mediterraneo—it’s got a fine-dining vibe, especially with sunset views while you eat. The Beach Club Grill’s lunch is another must; the variety is vast, and both appetizers and mains deliver delightful surprises. Snorkeling here is fantastic and super accessible—no boat needed, as the house reef is right off the shore. We went almost daily, spotting plenty of marine life without hassle. We stayed in the Sunset Seaview Villa with Pool, which is spacious and oh-so-relaxing. Lounging in our private pool while watching the sunset was pure bliss. You can even snorkel straight from the room, though spotting corals and fish requires swimming a bit farther out. The gentle currents make it beginner-friendly, which was perfect for us. Emerald Faarufushi exceeded expectations—highly recommended for a hassle-free, luxurious Maldives getaway! Read less

I'll apologise in advance for the long review / if I misspell any names! Myself and my husband stayed here for 7 nights in February and this was our second resort on our honeymoon. From the moment we got there, we were blown away! The welcome was incredible (especially when it was only us two arriving by boat) and the little touches made it feel so special. We stayed in room 104 - a beach villa with a private pool. 1st of all, the rooms are incredible! The size of them are insane and it blew us away how gorgeous it was. They had decorated our bed and had a bottle of champagne in the room on ice. They had even ran us a bath which was actually the perfect temperature! We knew from the minute we saw the room that this was a definite step up in terms of quality from the 1st resort we stayed at (which was still definitely 5 stars!) The only issue we had with the room was that it was on the windy side of the island which meant we didn't use our pool that often as it was quite cold in there. We did ask if there was any chance of us moving rooms but with them being fully booked, it wasn't an option (again not an issue as this was purely a preference thing). The room was cleaned twice daily and it was always so well done. They even decorated our room for valentines day and it was very special! We spent nearly everyday by the main pool which never felt busy and I have to give a big thank you to Aakash who works at the pool, he was so great, very attentive and just the loveliest person. Nothing was too much trouble and he would always double check my order when I switched up drinks just to make sure that someone else hadn't mis-heard. There was one morning where we missed breakfast as we got up late and he was so concerned about us he managed to get us a fruit platter to tide us over until they served food - it was very thoughtful. Our Villa host Elite was fantastic, I had already booked a few evenings through the app but he had made sure that everyday we had lunch and dinner reservations and would check in with us everyday. Because we couldn't move rooms, they actually offered us a private sunset cruise which Elite booked for our last night and he even made sure to ask us which had been our favorite wine so he could get some on the boat for us. It was so special and on the actual trip we were joined by around 10-15 dolphins which just made it an incredible end to an incredible stay. One thing I need to reiterate is the staff and the service. I have never been anywhere where they make everyone feel like an absolute VIP and whenever you pass any staff, they always make the effort to say hello and smile. We booked our trip with Simply Maldives and Amit who works there was so great at giving us advice and I'm so glad he suggested this island as it can be quite overwhelming with all the choices! I'm hopeful that we will be back soon as a family as I know our children would love this resort. Read less
