We have just spent two weeks here at Emerald Faarufushi and we can’t really put into words how amazing this place actually is. This was our first trip to the Maldives and while obviously the Maldives is the most surreal place in itself, what really makes this place special is the people! Tharif our villa host was the kindest soul, always has a smile waiting for you and is absolutely amazing at his job. Even on his days off he is still checking in making sure everything is ok and always going above and beyond. Neema the sommelier was also incredible and always made sure our glasses were never empty. ‘Bottomless wine’ was the theme of most of our lunches. She knew exactly what wine we would enjoy and tried to mix it up for us every day so we could try something new. Arres was also always there with a smile, always making sure everything was perfect and when there were a few things that weren’t the service from Arres and all the staff were incredible in resolving and making sure everything was back to perfection. There are too many fabulous people to mention everyone, but one thing is for sure, you will always be greeted with a friendly face and nothing is ever too much! Also, the food is spectacular. We chose this resort as I am gluten intolerant and had read great reviews on this. I was not disappointed! From pastries and pancakes at breakfast, to pasta, pizza and warm gluten free bread at lunch. That all tastes way better than anything GF in the UK! Chefs special carbonara and lobster risotto were a standout. We were sad to learn that the main buffet restaurant was closed on both Fridays as not many people had booked in there for Indian/Maldivian night and were sad we couldn’t try the local cuisine… until Tharif, our breakfast waiter and the chefs all arranged to do our own little Maldivian feast and it was some of the best food we have ever tried! Especially the Maldivian fisherman’s soup. Thank you so much to everyone who works at this resort. And if you are thinking of booking, do not hesitate! It is INCREDIBLE! Read less

Lastly but not means least chef Moreno and his team for the delicious food especially the Maldivian curry made with fish we caught on a fishing trip plus the world leading pasta dishes! Their genuine warmth and outstanding service made our experience even more memorable. We are so grateful for all the hard work and care shown by the entire team and would highly recommend the resort to others. Read less

We had an amazing stay at Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa and honestly struggled to find any real flaw during our holiday. The resort is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, and the level of service throughout the island was exceptional. A special mention goes to our villa host (Tharif) and to all the waiters and restaurant staff across every venue, in particular a young man with glasses at Mediterraneo whose name unfortunately we cannot . All staff was consistently warm, attentive, friendly and genuinely focused on making guests feel welcome. The attention to detail and customer care really stood out. Food quality was another highlight of the trip. We travel a lot and rarely find an all-inclusive resort with such consistently high standards. The ingredients, presentation and variety were excellent everywhere, but we especially loved the Mediterranean restaurant. A huge compliment to Donny, the sous chef, who did a fantastic job during Chef Moreno’s absence. Every dinner there was memorable, refined and full of flavor. We stayed in a Sunset Pool Villa and absolutely loved it. The privacy, the view, the direct access to the lagoon and the breathtaking sunsets made it feel like a dream. Waking up and ending the day there was truly special. We were also pleasantly surprised by the house reef, which was much better than expected: plenty of fish, beautiful colors and great snorkeling directly from the resort. Overall, Emerald Faarufushi exceeded our expectations in terms of hospitality, food, comfort and overall experience. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury Maldives experience with genuinely caring staff and outstanding cuisine. Read less
