Located on a private 7-hectare island, the Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa has finally opened up its doors and is ready to welcome you. Featuring beach and overwater villas, five restaurants, two bars, luxury spa, water sports and kids club there's experiences here for everyone. And whether you're travelling in a couple or as a family the Deluxe All-Inclusive package covers every aspect of your hideaway holiday so, there’s nothing more for you do to except sit back, relax, and soak up some sunshine. Or for the more adventurous, why not grab a snorkel and explore the local house reef – directly from your Superior Water Villa! Heaven.

Where is it

In the Raa Atoll, this 20-hectare island is surrounded by 1.5km of soft sand. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

80 Beach and Overwater villas. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, iPod docking station, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities and daily refreshed mini-bar. Beach Villas have an open-air bathroom and private furnished patio with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.


Deluxe All-Inclusive includes: breakfast (at Aqua), lunch (at Aqua and Beach Club Grill), and dinner (at Aqua, Beach Club Grill, Carnivorous, Mediterraneo and La Asiatique). Selected premium branded drinks, including spirits, international beers, international wines, cocktails and signature drinks, plus soft drinks including in-house mineral water. In-room stocked minibar with snacks, a selection of wine, soft drinks, beer, water,
tea and coffee. Non-motorized water sport activities (private lessons available at extra charge). Snorkeling equipment: mask, snorkel and fins. Guided group snorkeling (30 minutes, twice a week -subject to weather conditions).Complimentary Padel and Tennis during the day

Excursions (subject to weather conditions):

• 1 excursion per stay for a minimum 7-night stay

• 2 excursions per stay for a minimum 10-night stay


Guests in ALL VILLA CATEGORIES enjoy full access to all restaurants and bars throughout the resort as part of the Deluxe All-Inclusive Oasis Plan. A selection of premium menu items is also available at an additional charge.

Beach Villas with Pool have a front-row access to Faaruhushi’s white-sand beach, and a private covered patio with lounge furniture, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Ideal for families the Family Beach Villa with Pool have a separate twin bedroom, as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a patio over the sea plus a private infinity pool with direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Sunset Water Villas with Pool are located along Faarufushi’s jetty, and feature a private covered patio with lounge furniture, private infinity pool, and direct access to the water, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults

Superior Water Villas with Pool are located at the end of jetty, and have a private infinity pool, patio over the sea, lounge area, bedroom with walk-in closet, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

We’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some of the best hotels around the world, so it takes a lot to truly impress us, but Emerald Faarufushi has completely exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, this was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had and it is now firmly on our list of favourites, and somewhere we will absolutely be returning to. The setting is simply breathtaking. The decor is stunning and the house reef is exceptional. We spent so much time swimming there and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. The water sports team were fantastic and the diving centre delivered some unforgettable experiences. Swimming with turtles and manta rays is something we would highly recommend - truly special moments we will never forget. The service throughout the hotel is outstanding. Every single request was met with ease and a smile. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The food was also exceptional across the board, with such variety and quality. But what really sets Emerald Faarufushi apart is the people. The staff are incredible. So warm, attentive and genuinely invested in making your stay perfect. They take the time to get to know you and your preferences, which makes the whole experience feel so personal. A very special mention to our villa host, Kumar, who went above and beyond in every possible way. He truly made our stay seamless and exceptional, organising everything for us and ensuring every detail was taken care of. Nothing was ever too much, and his level of care made all the difference. The view was great from the villa. There were a lot of good snorkelling places with beautiful corals and marine wildlife. Staff was friendly and helpful especially our host Ali Asghar who was quick to respond to our requests.
