We stayed at Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa over New Year’s Eve, and the experience was truly special. What stood out was the exceptionally caring and attentive service. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and looked after, always with a smile and a level of attention that never felt intrusive, but warm and thoughtful. The food options were outstanding. The quality was consistently high across all restaurants, with a great variety of cuisines. What we particularly appreciated was the flexibility: the team was always happy to accommodate preferences or small requests, which made dining feel effortless and enjoyable. Whether we preferred refined dishes or simpler comfort food, the resort offers something, always at a very high standard. The overall atmosphere is pure relaxation — a true “zero worries” experience. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy the sea, and slow down, expecially when traveling with children. The island feels safe, peaceful, and well organized. The house reef is beautiful, ideal for snorkeling, and the excursions are truly great. In particular, the trip to the private island was stunning. All in all, this is a place where high standards meet genuine care, making it ideal for couples, families, looking for a serene and high-quality Maldivian escape. Read less

Difficult To Be An Original Reviewer - Just Go

It is very difficult to write an original review, given the incredible comments and observations that have gone before my review and will come after. My comments and comparisons are based on us having visited The Maldives on a number of occasions and this being our third to an Emerald resort, but the first time to Faarufushi. The resort is wonderful and led most expertly by Patrick; and his team of "Champions" deliver exemplary service with friendly panache! Patrick himself is everywhere and very approachable, it was fun to watch him spotting minor issues before his team and seeing them fixed within minutes! Patrick it was a pleasure to meet you, congratulations on a wonderful resort and team. The food on the Island is some other best we have experienced and Moreno is a talented Culinary Director (and like Patrick pops up everywhere) and it was a genuine pleasure getting to know you. A lifetime ago I was a chef and during a conversation with Moreno he kindly invited me on a kitchen tour. I have to say that the kitchens were spotless, the fridges and freezers immaculate and well organised; and the bakery incredible (as was the bread and pastries). Don't miss Moreno's Italian night and especially his gnocchi. Also thank you for the special treats, first class my friend. Most importantly, though it was the staff that made the holiday and there are just too many fabulous people to thank without a long a boring list, that said: Elite our room host was just the most gentle and attentive of men, wonderful service thank you my friend. Nish, Chinna and all the bar team looked after us fabulously, night and day Ram, Neemah and Sean thank you for the evaporating chilled wine and Joseph thank you for the laughs. So many of the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams made us feel special and welcome, thank you all. I have been very disappointed by the reef at some of the resorts we have previously visited, I loved the reef at Faarafushi! Wonderful holiday

If you're choosing a hotel in the Maldives, I highly recommend staying at the wonderful Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa. Everything is superb here: accommodations, food, service, and beaches. It's a small but very cozy island, beautifully designed down to the last detail. This vacation wouldn't have been so wonderful without the care of the people who work here. I'd especially like to highlight our hostess, Daria Maslova, a truly kind and attentive person. All our wishes and requests were fulfilled almost immediately. A month later, we remember her with warmth and gratitude. Also on the island is the wonderful Dr. Jafar – a sensitive, kind, and highly qualified doctor. It so happened that we needed medical care, which was provided at a very high level. And of course, I have to mention the resort's brilliant chef. If you love good food, this is the place for you: the Italian Cuisine Day is truly something special. Thank you so much for our wonderful vacation! Read less

Wonderful holiday

We had the most wonderful time and were greeted by our host Daria..she booked our restaurants and trips and nothing was too much trouble.The resort was spotless,our villa was amazing and cleaned twice a day,we tried all the restaurants and the food was good in all.The service was excellent and we would definitely go back.

A great resort! All the facilities but in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Staff very dedicated in their work to give you the best service. Special thanks to our host Daria who facilitated in a fantastic way. We will definitely be back.
