The Mexican Restaurant, Mestizo was excellent. The best meal of our weeklong stay. Juan Carlos took excellent care of us. He got my granddaughter’s food very quickly which helped the rest of us enjoy our meal. All our food was tasty. My 4 and 7 year old med granddaughters LOVED their meals and ate heartily. Thanks for a terrific experience.

The main pool off the beach fills early, think of grabbing spots around 6:30… but I’d suggest sitting with it… they will move the towels if you are not there for 45+ minutes. The place is short chairs poolside, so grab them early. The resort requires a lot of walking!… 5 a day at least!… but every walk was completely enjoyable with monkeys and other animals you’d run into. Our room bldg 20, was 3rd floor so it had a rooftop patio. Super chill. Great place to strike a pipe of solid playa reefer. Room amazing. Large and specious and in all my 20+ trips to MX, maybe the best bed I’ve had‼️ As for price… they crushed it. Probably the best bang for the dollar I’ve ever had. Covid offered some insane deals but this was the best value I’ve experienced. Super satisfied. Someday the rooms are slightly dated, I thought it was just fine. Elevator to 3rd floor is so small… you’ll laugh. 4 comfortable, but that’s even tight. It was fine though. Beach is great except it’s always red fog windy this time of year…. Pretty much no matter what. Sand is soft and relaxing. The pool vibe is fun, yet, not overwhelming craziness… but a lot of people. It was totally fine. Lots of restaurant options! And each one met or exceeded our expectations. My desires!…. No where to run… the resort is kind of tight to do that, but only a few people or it would be a little crazy. Check this place out. We stayed at The Fives for 3 weeks in March 2026. The hotel is in a great location, it is very clean and the staff and service are the best. We are diamond members with the Hilton so benefited from the happy hour deals at the bar and pool area, although at the pool the bar manager was hesitant to honour our eligibility since we didn't book directly through the hotel but through a travel agency, but to us a diamond member should be served no matter how they booked. We have no complains at all about our 3 weeks there but we were surprised that even though we booked a "suite" with a kitchenette, there was a fridge, microwave and a 2 burner cooker, there were no pans, dishes, or cutlery so cooking in the room was impossible unless we went shopping for these items. We enjoyed the coffee maker with 2 mugs and 2 glasses and since we had breakfast included with the room, which was amazing with Hector guiding us (Five stars to Hector) we didn't really miss the kitchen. They offered an upgrade for $100 US per night but we thought we we already booked the "Suite" Anyway, it was a great experience and again, can't say enough about the staff there!!! Read less

Absolutely unforgettable experience. Their guests are their top priority! Many activities to keep busy throughout the resort and the food is definitely one of the best I have had in my many trips to Mexico. Will definitely go back!
