We have been privileged in life to have traveled extensively around the world experiencing a wide variety of hotels and hotel service both professionally and for leisure. I want to start this review for The ‘fabulous’ Hard Rock Hotel in the Maldives with a “regret”………..that regret is that it simply took my wife and I so long to find them…….😎👍
We are making up for it now though 😊
I can literally count on one hand the number of times I came close to finding the perfect hotel & location for a holiday……only to find the location and property were fabulous but the service was poor or the food was poor or a variable of one of them was off…….
At the Hard Rock Hotel in the Maldives they somehow managed to tick all the boxes……Indeed they did not just tick all the boxes but they managed to somehow exceed our expectations and achieve a consistency in service, food, property and location which can only be said by someone who has now returned a second time.
From the charismatic and ever approachable GM Frederic Lebegue to the guys in the pool bar ( Sougat, Hassa, Roa, Gobi and several more ) to the team at Sessions headed by the wonderful Ruben ( Nathis, Isha and so many more ) and then the effervescent team at HRC headed up by Maartyn who seemed to be everywhere working being the scenes keeping the entertainment rocking ably assisted by Lola and the guys…..….And ofcourse the absolutely brilliant Deviate band headed up by Bien and some fabulous band members ( Dany, Ozzy, Vina) who simply know and can play any song ever written……..ever…….😎👍….. Playing both in HRC and frequently on stages set up under the stars on the beach to entertain everyone at the themed evenings ……. Fabulous……We even had Lauren entertaining us on the high frame performing acrobatic movements which at times defied gravity……..And last but not least the ever chilled and smiling Sato, probably the most unflappable person I have ever met. No matter the drama he sorts it…….as he shuttles you smiling between the properties and restaurants in the evenings in his buggy…….
They were “all”……. 🎼“ Simply the best, better than all the rest”🎼……
Add to all of this the fact that you can in addition have the ability, should you choose it to utilise it, to visit the other facilities, restaurants, bars and pools on the other adjoining properties at the SAii lagoon and Marina then I defy anyone to get bored…….Something which I frequently hear from other beautiful Maldivian resorts where they basically all but shut down when the sun goes down…….not here it doesn’t 😎👍.
As we did last year we are already planning our return visit next year…….Thank you one and all…….Until we meet again 😎👍
