The hotel offers a nature reserve and beach club, plenty of complimentary water sports, plus tennis and archery, and access to two golf courses, Le Chateau Golf Course and La Reserve Golf Links Course, the first and only contemporary links course in the Indian Ocean. With one of the largest spa villages in the Indian Ocean, the Seven Colours Spa is dedicated to soothing mind and body. You can relax whilst children visit the kids' club, teens join in a wide range of activities and excursions, and little ones play in the babysitting corner. The hotel offers a wealth of dining options and culinary experiences, as well as unlimited sparkling wine by the glass, and there’s live entertainment at Zenzi Bar.

Where is it

On the magnificent Bel Ombre Estate, a former sugar plantation edged by translucent blue lagoons. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

All with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, balcony or terrace, satellite TV with video and music channels, telephone, complimentary WIFI, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar (beers and soft drinks, replenished once per day), safe and hairdryer. AWALI All Inclusive of (available until 31st January 2025): breakfast at the main Savana Restaurant or C-Beach Club. Lunch at Infinity Blue beach restaurant, C Beach restaurant and O’Grill restaurant at Heritage Golf Club, Le Chateau Golf Course. Snacking and light lunch options at Amafrooty or Heritage Golf Club. Afternoon tea, cakes, pancakes and ice creams. Dinner at Zafarani (adults only), Infinity Blue, Savana buffet or C Beach Club. 24-hour room service (selected items, tray charge applies). Food credit is available for dinner at selected restaurants which are not part of the all-inclusive package, at Heritage Awali Golf Resort & Spa as well as at sister properties (non consumed credit cannot be redeemed). Complimentary access to Seven Colours Spa Village, with one 45-minute back massage per adult per stay, and one 20-minute child’s massage (3-11 years) per child per stay, to be taken on the first 3 days after arrival (minimum stay 5 nights). Premium All Inclusive option (available until 31st January 2025): (in addition to the above) free daily unlimited green fees at Heritage Golf Club, complimentary golf cart for every round of golf (maximum of one per round per room per day), only applicable at Heritage Golf Club - Le Chateau Golf Course. One round of golf at La Reserve Golf Links - including welcome gift, shared buggy with GPS, range balls & halfway refreshment), once per stay. Exclusively reserved for Heritage Resorts’ guests and Heritage Golf Club members. A traditional Mauritian lunch menu with a selection of beverages at Le Chateau de Bel Ombre, once per stay. Lunch at La Reserve Golf course restaurant. Dinner at O'Grill restaurant at Heritage Golf Club. Unlimited Champagne by the glass from opening of bars until 11:00pm at selected outlets only. Upgraded mini-bar with wines, including local rum, whisky (replenished upon consumption and once per stay). Deluxe Beachfront Rooms are sea facing, with 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Ground floor rooms with direct access to the beach are available at a supplement.

Senior Suite Sea View rooms have a separate sitting room and are located at the edge of the beach with 1 king-size bed or twin beds and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Ground floor rooms are available at a supplement.

Heritage Villa Beach Front has two en-suite bedrooms with king-size beds and 1 bedroom with twin beds for children, plus lounge and dining room, shaded terrace and private pool, sleeping maximum 4 adults and 2 children or 2 teens.

Our stay at Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort was truly one of the most memorable holidays we have ever experienced. As a retired couple who travel frequently, we feel this resort stands out largely because of the exceptional kindness, professionalism, and genuine care shown by every member of staff. From the moment we arrived, the reception team were extremely helpful and efficient, clearly explaining all procedures and assisting with money exchange details in a calm and reassuring manner. It immediately created a sense of ease and welcome. Throughout the resort, every staff member we encountered was consistently kind, considerate, and attentive. It would be impossible to single out individuals for praise because the overall standard of service was so uniformly high. At breakfast, Nawaz always greeted us with a friendly smile and a very personable manner. It was a real pleasure to chat with him each morning about football teams and match strategies while he looked after us so attentively, helping to start each day on a warm and cheerful note. At the Infinity Blue restaurant, the head waiter demonstrated outstanding leadership, guiding a highly professional and efficient team. The food was absolutely glorious and consistently of a very high standard, making every dining experience a real pleasure. We also noticed Anastazia, who was exceptionally attentive across several restaurants—nothing was ever too much trouble for her, and she genuinely enhanced our overall dining experience. Our housemaid, Vhimla, was exceptionally thorough and ensured all our specific needs were carefully supported throughout our stay, contributing greatly to our comfort and peace of mind. The free spa facilities were absolutely fantastic, supported by extremely efficient and professional staff who made each visit deeply relaxing and restorative. A special mention must also go to the bar staff throughout the resort, including those at the Coconut Shack. As I follow a medical diet with limited options, they were all incredibly helpful in providing suitable non-alcoholic and low-carb drinks without hesitation, always delivered with kindness and understanding. Overall, we felt completely at home from the day we arrived. The combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, and above all the genuine warmth and professionalism of the staff made this one of the most outstanding holiday experiences we have ever had. Traveling with a teenager and elderly parents meant we were looking for a destination that could cater to everyone — and the resort exceeded expectations beautifully. While we enjoyed the much-needed break from our hectic routine, our teen also had an amazing time and truly appreciated the welcoming environment and activities around the resort. We were accompanied by some elders and everybody took care of her though she had a mobility challenge. What stood out most was the genuine hospitality from every department. Thanks to Jean-Paul for being present for our welcoming. The Front Office team led by Vicky and Bhola made us feel welcomed immediately, and special thanks to Treycika, Leenesh, Jaishny and Jay for their attentiveness. Thanks to Avinash and the Spa team for the treat! The housekeeping team under Vishal was excellent, with special appreciation for Vimla and Keshav. The food across the resort was outstanding thanks to Chef Govinden, Chef Poule, Chef Singh, Jimmy, Ramana and the whole F&B and kitchen teams. Jimmy and Ramana’s leadership clearly reflects in the quality of service delivered across the resort. Nishta at Savana was wonderful, and the entire Zafarani and AFNB teams were absolutely fantastic. Special thanks as well to Olivier, Nicolas and Vayraj at the bar for their excellent service and great energy. CocoShak had refreshing coconut-based cocktails, led by a friendly barman. Laurent's wine recommendations were on point, and his warm and friendly personality made every interaction enjoyable. A relaxing and rejuvenating experience at the spa was made even better thanks to Avinash. The culinary experience deserves particular praise. Chef Govinden and the kitchen team consistently delivered delicious meals throughout our stay, while Chef Singh and the Zafarani team served some truly outstanding food. Also, a special mention to Kizuri and the team for the amazing faratas, especially the ones by Anusha — definitely unforgettable.
