We especially recommend the bar service. Wonderful people, with a big knowledge about alcohol. Always happy to talk and spend time with guests which makes an amazing atmosphere.

Where is it
Located on the private island of Maafushi, which is part of Dhaalu Atoll, and is connected to neighbouring Riu Palace Maldivas by walkway. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).Hotel information

The bar service in the pool is the best in the whole resort
The staff is very kind and symphatic and have a big knowledge about the alcohol
The drinks are very tasty
And the staff is always happy to talk
I will comeback 100% here to see them again!

Where do we start. The journey was good, but long (3 flights plus boat) but we found it very easy to navigate through Dubai and Male airport, we flew from Birmingham with Emirates through our TUI booking. RIU staff were waiting in arrivals for us and guided us through the final internal flight and ferry crossing. They were amazing. We booked 11 nights staying in a standard room, mini bar, 2 x beers per day plus cans of soft drinks, no optics.
Towels for the beach are replenished in the rooms each day, but you can also switch these at the towel bar near the pool if needed.
Weather was decent for August, I was worried we would see any sun, but we were fortunate and only had a few rain clouds, which lasted between 10 minutes to a few hours. It rained mainly at night and we were provided an umbrella which came in handy. We were in block 10, which is one of the first from the restaurant and pool, so we didn't have far to walk. The beaches are a mix of soft sand and broken shells, but sea shoes are a must if you plan to go snorkeling and I'd recommend you take your own snorkel mask, etc.
There's no table service at the pool bar or on the beach sadly, would be the cherry on top.
Beaches are clean to a point, but do have a bit of rubbish, paper straws, discarded cigarettes, napkins, etc which was a shame to see, they do their best to keep the resort clean, so guests should try harder to repsct the island.
Food is plentiful and good choices, drinks are good too, measures are generous.
Entertainment was good, 3 parties per week, a mix of music, quizzes, films and a live band, who are very good.
We only had one plug socket in our room, which was annoying at times.
All in all, a great holiday.

We had a over the water apartment which was fantastic very modern very clean everything you could wish for beautiful balcony steps into the sea shower to wash yourself off after you’ve been in the sea fully stocked fridge and 4 optics above with vodka rum and gin and whiskey all refilled every day. A big thank you to our cleaner vim cleaned our room every day spotless all ways very helpful and polite. All the staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful cannot do enough for you to make your stay perfect. The food is amazing never got board of eating the variety is amazing. Tried the steak house restaurant fantastic service and food this place is paradise 10 out of 10 could not fault it. A big thank you to the TUI rep very helpful took us a guided tour round soon as we got there big thank. Cannot wait for our next vist to this beautiful island and hotel big thank you RIU ATOLL you really deserve it
