Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, My wife and I were visiting Jamaica for the first time in late August 2025 for her birthday. Although my wife and I are Hilton diamond members, I decided to try something new and have always enjoyed a few Hyatt hotels in the past. As is my custom when traveling I emailed the concierge desk at the resort to coordinate some extras to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Fortunately for me, I got Shawnalee Baker responding to my email. From the first email Shawnalee was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. She not only helped me build an itinerary of activities for the 5 days we would be there but also suggested a few additional options that turned out to be a hit with us both. The couple’s message the first morning with an open-air view of the beach was amazing. Pricy but worth every dollar and a wonderful memory. We loved the large balcony and the large shower in the junior suit that Shawnalee so graciously arranged for us. Additionally, the overall property is beautiful, food quality was solid, and we loved the ample number of diverse activities. I have stayed in many higher-end hotels and resorts, and Shawnalee’s concierge service was one of the very best. I recall telling her in an early email that we were not difficult customers but being Hilton diamond members we were accustomed to high-quality customer service. Shawnalee did not disappoint! Even though I know other members of the team were assisting her, our single point of contact for our entire stay was Shawnalee and it was fantastic. It really gave our visit the VIP feel. Everything was arranged and executed to a tee. I am sure that Shawnalee managed the visit of many visitors during our time at the resort, but we felt like she was there just for our visit. A group of eighteen of us stayed at the hyatt zilara for 5 days. We attended a vowel renewal, it's an absolutely beautiful property. The grounds are immaculate. All day long You see groundsmen tending to things, all the food we had was amazing, the employees are friendly and helpful and fun, the gazebo setup for the wedding was beautiful, the rooms are spacious. There is a separate shower from the tub, and the bathroom has a door that closes where the toilet area is. They have a Golf cart that can take you from one side to the other. Because there is an extreme amount of walking on these properties. The bride and groom had a Butler suite and they took excellent care of them. They didn't want for anything. There are lots of activities at the pool, water aerobics, bingo, glow party i think one night they did a sip and paint. They have a reservations desk if you want to make reservations for 1 of the restaurants and they are very helpful even if you have a large party, they accommodated us every time. The bartenders in the ziva lobby, where the piano is were the friendliest to me, they made the best bob marley shots and frozen bob marley's!! The housekeepers were friendly and efficient.Our room was always clean early in the day.We never had any issues. I really liked how whenever you passed any employees in the hallway or walking around the resort, they put their arm across their heart. Out of respect, I really like that. If you bring your own floaties, you can blow them up yourself in the gift shop closest to the choicez Restaurant. There was a sports bar. I think it's called urban eats. They stay open till almost two a m, we went there at the end of each night.We would play spades and just hang out as a group. It's also a great place to watch the game, Because internet can be spotty in the rooms. The food and the setup and the service was great. For the reception, however, beware, they are doing Some construction and the area that they will put you in for your reception. You have to walk down a lot of steps and walk a long way to a bathroom.It is definitely not handicap accessible. The wedding coordinator was the worst part of the trip. Not personable at all, she never smiled. She wasn't accommodating, very standoffish. I hope you don't get her for your wedding!! All of the buffet attendants and breakfast staff Were all very nice, smiling happy accommodating!!! They kept the mini bar stocked with beers, water and soda, hand snacks. They really do celebrate you when you let them know It's your birthday. They brought us wine and a slice of cake to our room, in every restaurant, we went to that we let them know it was our birthday.They sang happy birthday, we love that!! On our last day, that's when we were leaving the buffet restaurant. The staff came outside and sang. Happy birthday to my husband now, That was excellent customer service. They went above and beyond to make him feel special!!!!! The jerk cut was really good. There were actually two different places. You could get jerk chicken. The French restaurant was amazing. The lamb chops were excellent, they even allowed us to have a to go plate for 1 of our family members who couldn't make it to dinner!!
