The hotel

The All Inclusive Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a huge range of room options, all with gorgeous views of the surrounding tropical gardens or the ocean. You can even choose a room with direct pool access or upgrade to Club Level for special privileges. Tucked between the mountains and the sea, it’s hailed as a paradise of rest, relaxation and recreation and rightly so! Prepare yourself for 'Service from the Heart!' — a genuine warm Jamaican welcome and service with a smile. For something a little special, head to the spa for a relaxing massage or body wrap. Whilst you do, the kids can play with other youngsters at their very own club, building sandcastles or getting stuck into some arts and crafts. With regards to restaurants, you’ll find plenty on your doorstep — at the Ziva, there’s a whole range of world cuisines to choose from! Visit Italy one night, and Asia when the mood takes you. We doubt very much you’ll be homesick but if you are, head to Union Jack’z — an English tavern that not only serves pub favourites but also features live music too. Alternatively, sip on cocktails on the rooftop at the Moroccan-inspired Fez.

I unfortunately was victim of Hurricane Melissa and spent my vacation as well as many extended days in Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Although I was not able to enjoy my vacation to its full potential due to the weather circumstances, I wouldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay at during those difficult times. Words would not be able to describe the gratitude and how appreciative I am for the entire team that took care of us. From the staff, to the manager (Keneve), and the GM Adrian. They were very attentive and gave it their all despite the circumstances. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing entertainment, and a beautiful establishment. Had things been different, I know this would have been the ultimate vacation. I hope that sooner rather than later Jamaica continues to restore and flourish into the beautiful country that it is. #onelove Read less

WOW! Where do I start, I can't possibly write enough that does it justice. First off we stayed here during hurricane Melissa and let me tell you the staff were beyond incredible, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We have travelled to many places and never received such service. I would like to make a special mention of Adrian Whitehead the general manager and I hope this gets to him as I could not find an email for him. He made us feel safe and that his staff and his customers were his number 1 priority. We watched him talking to everyone making sure we had plenty of food and drink, even got the staff to send bags filled with food to our rooms until the storm passed. He answered everyones questions with calmness and attentiveness. He had meetings twice a day leading up to the hurricane and after. I am still amazed by him and all his staff and he should be very proud of what he did for everyone who stayed here. So on that note with all my heart THANK YOU!!! I can't write everything as this would be a novel so I'd like to thank all the wonderful staff we met with always smiling faces despite the devastion they are facing. This was our first time to Jamaica and I can assure you this won't be the last. Until our next adventure we will see you again Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall JAMAICA! Read less

Great facilities and wonderful and peaceful environment. The room was comfortable and I loved the bathroom. The food in the restaurants was good and they have several coffee shops and bars across the property. They have a great gym with all the equipment you need. Overall a great experience.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at the resort. While we enjoyed, let me touch base on some of the pros and cons staying at the Hyatt Ziva Hall. Pros: *Cost of the all-inclusive vacation. We booked directly through American Airlines Vacations. *Proximity to the Sangster International Airport. *Immaculate grounds and pools. *Friendly staff, especially Jevayghn in the Italian restaurant on site. He was absolutely wonderful. *Number of on-site restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. * The Jerk Hut and the Italian restaurant. Cons: * Current rating of 4.5. The carpeting is showing severe signs of wear and tear throughout both Ziva and Zilaria. In most places it is worn to the backing of the carpet. Ziva halls and rooms need a fresh coat of painting. And the use of deodorizer’s throughout in the hallways. *Food selection in the restaurants. * The music on the Zilaria side in the afternoon was offensive in the fact that it was sexually explicit and inappropriate. Two other couples besides ourselves left the area because of it. * Zilaria pool bathrooms were exceptionally clean while those on the Ziva side were not. *Pushing La Playa. We did not come here to listen to time share info. As soon as we checked in the resort, we were ushered to the La Playa desk. We thought at first it was to give us an overview of the resort. Not what we expected for a Hyatt resort. * Lighting or lack thereof in our Ziva room. Even during the day, the room was very dark, and even darker in the evening. *Not replenishing the bath soap and shampoo in the shower area. We had to remove ours from the shower holder just to shower on days 3-5. *Service and length of time it took to get our food at Union Jackz. Suggestions: offer and refresh the snacks on the mini-bar in the room. Ours was not. We brought water back throughout our stay. *Offer healthier options at breakfast and lunch…i.e. Yogurts, fresh vegetables, and kid friendly foods. *Offer the availability to make reservations for the French restaurant on the app. Read less
