I checked in on 15/08/26, and what happened at this hotel has left me shocked, upset, and genuinely heartbroken. When I arrived, I spoke with Sheila at reception and the Duty Manager. I asked if it was possible to cancel my booking because the main pool was closed, something LoveHolidays never made clear when I booked. I even said I understood it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. On 15/08/2026, the Duty Manager told me directly and more than once that he was happy to cancel my booking. He encouraged me to contact the travel provider. I was the one who hesitated because I was worried I wouldn’t get a refund. At that time, I had no idea the travel provider would actually support me. If I had known, I would have acted immediately. Today, LoveHolidays told me that if the hotel confirmed they were willing to cancel and reduce the invoice, they would process the refund. So I went back to reception and everything changed. Sheila called the supervisor and I was met by a rude, abrupt man who claimed the hotel wouldn’t do anything and insisted the travel agency must email sales. I explained I understood the need for an audit trail, but they just needed verbal confirmation exactly what I was told yesterday. He refused to listen. He dismissed everything I said. He even said, “It’s not about what he said or she said.” Sheila stood there silently, despite being present yesterday when the Duty Manager agreed to cancel. He reduced me to tears. I was beyond upset and angry. How can someone behave like this??? I left reception in actual tears, in front of my 6‑year‑old son. To make matters worse, my travel provider was on the phone during this interaction and witnessed the staff’s behaviour firsthand. They were so shocked by how I was spoken to that they have now raised their own complaint about the hotel’s conduct. When even the travel agency is appalled, it says everything. Before arriving, I told the hotel that my son’s father passed away a few months ago. We are already going through so much. To be treated with such coldness and zero compassion is disgusting. My holiday is ruined. Instead of this being a healing break for my son, he had to watch his mum cry because of how your staff spoke to me. The manager I dealt with today urgently needs training on how to speak to grieving families. His behaviour was vile. How dare he speak to me like that, knowing full well what my son has been through. I have never been lied to so blatantly by hotel staff. No integrity, no compassion, no professionalism. I will never book this brand again. Read less

I cannot find an email address ? My sister and nephew are staying at this place for just under 2 weeks. I FaceTimed her earlier and she was in tears and my nephew was very upset as well. They are staying on what looks like a building site. They are both so unhappy. My nephew is 6 years old! No one goes on holiday to be this upset. She told me she just wanted to come home and I could hear my nephew in the back saying the same thing The travel agency they booked via didn’t advise them of the pool closure, and have refused to assist. I told her to speak with the hotel staff but she said there was no point. I am not blaming the hotel and nor is my sister but I told her to ask to be moved to another IHG property. If you’ve only got 1 pool working in this heat it is obviously going to be busy, and my nephew picked out this hotel specifically because of the pool he saw on TikTok. So as you can imagine he will be beyond disappointed. If you cannot change her hotel then I have checked that this hotel also has villas with private pools, I am more than willing to pay for my sister to move to one of these. I will literally do anything to ensure my nephew has a good stay. They have been through so much and to see them upset on holiday is truly unfair. They needed a break not a nightmare. Please advise of the cost and send me the link to pay and please move my sister ASAP. Read less

Our stay at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort was truly special and unforgettable. What made this experience even more meaningful was being able to celebrate one of the most important milestones in our family, my brother’s engagement proposal. From the very beginning of the planning until the actual execution of the event, the entire team went above and beyond to make everything beautiful, seamless, and memorable. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Zee, Michelle, Paula, and Rakesh for their incredible assistance, patience, attention to detail, and constant support throughout the entire process. Your dedication and willingness to help made us feel that we were truly in the best hands. A very special thank you as well to the amazing team who assisted us with the engagement venue. Rakesh, you were truly exceptional so hands-on, attentive, and always making sure that every little detail was taken care of. To Mridul, Manish, Som, and Lin, thank you for all your hard work and for helping bring our plans to life. You all played such an important part in making the proposal beautiful and stress-free for our family. And of course, a huge thank you to Chef Srikanth and the culinary team. The dinner was sumptuous, and most importantly, the newly engaged couple truly loved it! The food was one of the highlights of the evening and made the celebration even more special. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire Club Lounge Team Paula, Esther, Sumudu, Rechelle, Siva, Eloiza, and Emmanuel (Club Lounge).
