We stayed at Intercontinental RAK before Christmas. This is a beautiful resort, very much like Scandinavian style with wood and light colours and minimalist style. The Infinity Club room with a stunning sea view was beatiful. Club rooms and the club lounge are in a separate building. The club lounge is one of the best club lounges I've been to. The lounge is spacious, never too crowded. They allow kids to stay there but it is not noisy. We had breakfast in the lounge every morning. You can order your breakfast from the kitchen. We enjoyd quietness during breakfast time and did not want to go to the busy buffet restaurant. They also serve high tea in the afternoon and drinks & canapés in the evening. There is also a separate pool for Club room guests but we did not use it as it is for adults only. We stayed on half-board that I recommend because there is nothing close to the hotel. We loved the Turkish restaunt, food was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful and had very good athmosphere. We noticed that some local families ate there too. We had dinner buffet only once. It was crowded, mainly Russian customers and the buffet tailormade for them. We had an issue at NoHo Bar & Grill. The half-board menu at NoHo is very limited, mainly burger and pasta. They offer however a certain amount of dining credit for half-board guests that you can use if you want to order from the regular menu. I noticed from the Noho restaurant web pages that they had an offer of steak and a bottle of wine. The waitress told us however that we are not allowed to use the dining credit for the offer! What? Why is that? She replied that because this is already a discounted rate. That is ridiculous. What difference does it make if you pay with credit card, cash or dining credit. Finally the waitress said that Ok, this time you can use the dining credit for the offer. This episode ruined however the whole experience even if the food was really good. Hopefully hotel management will do somenthing about this and train their staff. Hotel pools, grounds and the beach are amazing. This is a good place to spend a staycation out of the city. Kids Club is mainly for young children under 7 years. It is lovely that the Club Lounge has some family games , UNO cards etc. I recommend to book a Club room. Read less

This hotel is truly exceptional in every way. My children and I spent 9 nights here from late December until the new year and we honestly had the most amazing time. From the New Years Eve gala which was a glamour and fun night to remember, to the food, ambiance and great customer service; everything was superb. Two examples of the exceptional service we received: 1) I booked a One Bedroom Garden Terrace Suite and requested to get the larger of these suites, which features a separate room with bunk beds. Manager Svetlana went above and beyond to secure 1 out of the 2 of these suites for 7 nights of our stay. 2) When my son had a severe nut allergy reaction, the onsite managers were quick to respond by calling the ambulance and were there to greet us at the front of the hotel when my son returned from hospital several hours later. The next day we received a call from guest services asking if there was anything the hotel could do to make our stay more comfortable. It is examples like this that make this a truly 5 star hotel, and I will definitely be returning. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff who made our holiday amazing. Read less
