The hotel

A true desert island experience awaits you at Le Meridien Maldives Resort and Spa, and it’s a divers’ paradise! Where is it

Located on the island of Thilamaafushi, in Lhaviyani Atoll, one of the Maldives’ smaller and underdeveloped atolls. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 35 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

134 well-appointed guest villas, featuring unparalleled views across the whitewashed beaches, the Indian Ocean or turquoise lagoon. All with air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, safe, bathrobe, separate shower and tub, hair dryer, bathroom amenities, smart TV, and complimentary WiFi access. Beach Villas are 82 sqm featuring direct beach access, outdoor bathroom, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Half Board option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at Riviera Tapas.

Full Board option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill and 3-course set menu at Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at Riviera.

Drinks: unlimited consumption of non-alcoholic beverages from the beverage list served in the above-mentioned outlets, only during mealtime (breakfast, lunch or dinner), and to be consumed in the outlets only. Mini-bar - non-alcoholic beverage and snacks replenished once per day.

All-Inclusive option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Velaa Bar + Grill and Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu at Riviera and 3-course set menu at Tabemasu, available once every 4 days (only when the restaurant is open).

Premium All-Inclusive option: includes daily breakfast served at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Afternoon Tea (available at Latitude with advance reservations), Velaa Bar + Grill and Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu including weekly theme nights at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu including weekly theme nights at Riviera, 3-course set menu at Tabemasu including weekly theme nights (only when the restaurant is open), Teppanyaki dinner at Tabemasu available - once every 4 days (with advance reservations and only when the restaurant is open).

Drinks: unlimited consumption of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks from the All-Inclusive beverage list served in the restaurants and bars. House Champagne, served by the glass only. Room upgrades

Beach Garden Pool Villas feature an open-air bathroom, private pool, and direct beach access from the patio, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Beach Pool Villas are the same as above, with a pool located at the front of the villa.

Overwater Villas with pools have either sunrise or sunset views, private pool, and direct lagoon access. The bedroom has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villas feature direct beach access with a private pool, two bedrooms each with 1 king-size bed or 1 king-size bed and twin beds, and an open-air bathroom, sleeping maximum 6 people.

Our overwater villa was modern, spacious, and impeccably maintained, with direct access to crystal-clear turquoise waters. Waking up to those views each morning was unforgettable. Housekeeping (was very accommodating and kept up with our schedule) and in-villa amenities were excellent throughout our stay. The staff truly make this resort special—warm, friendly, and consistently attentive without being intrusive. Every interaction felt genuine, and they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Dining was a highlight, with multiple restaurants offering diverse, high-quality cuisine. Fresh seafood, great presentation, and beautiful settings made every meal enjoyable. I want to especially mention Pradeep P. (Chef at Veela restaurant) who arranged a memorable 10 year anniversary dinner for us. He made special courses for us that were delicious. He made our experience special and it’s one of the highlights of our stay at the resort. Thanks to Pradeep and the team! The island itself is beautifully landscaped, with pristine beaches and a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Snorkeling, spa treatments, and simply enjoying the surroundings made it easy to fully unwind and disconnect. I would also like to mention Symon at the Veela beach restaurant who accommodated our requests and was very attentive during our beach days at the resort. Le Méridien Maldives offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone looking for a memorable Maldivian getaway. Everything about the resort was perfect, charming, calming, and serene. The space across the property is very well managed, and we never felt the need to compromise on anything during our stay. It is definitely value for money. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the resort, and the noise levels were very well maintained—we didn’t experience anything that could disturb our peace. We highly recommend staying here. The services were far better than our expectations, especially the food and the hospitality of the chefs. Their warmth and friendliness made us feel completely at home. They even cooked as per our requirements, and every meal was delicious. We still remember their names because of their wonderful behavior and care: Chef Pradeep Poojary, Chef Arvind, Chef Sanchit, Chef Sooraj, Chef Shoaib, and Chef Robert from Tabemasu. We would love to meet them again and happily eat anything they cook, as their food is simply outstanding. Abhishek, the F&B Manager, who was an absolute pleasure to have as a caretaker. He managed everything with great attention, dedication, and kindness, ensuring our stay was smooth and memorable.
