The hotel

A true desert island experience awaits you at Le Meridien Maldives Resort and Spa, and it’s a divers’ paradise! Where is it

Located on the island of Thilamaafushi, in Lhaviyani Atoll, one of the Maldives’ smaller and underdeveloped atolls. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 35 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

134 well-appointed guest villas, featuring unparalleled views across the whitewashed beaches, the Indian Ocean or turquoise lagoon. All with air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, safe, bathrobe, separate shower and tub, hair dryer, bathroom amenities, smart TV, and complimentary WiFi access. Beach Villas are 82 sqm featuring direct beach access, outdoor bathroom, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Half Board option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at Riviera Tapas.

Full Board option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill and 3-course set menu at Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at Riviera.

Drinks: unlimited consumption of non-alcoholic beverages from the beverage list served in the above-mentioned outlets, only during mealtime (breakfast, lunch or dinner), and to be consumed in the outlets only. Mini-bar - non-alcoholic beverage and snacks replenished once per day.

All-Inclusive option: includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Velaa Bar + Grill and Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu at Riviera and 3-course set menu at Tabemasu, available once every 4 days (only when the restaurant is open).

Drinks: unlimited consumption of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks from the All-Inclusive beverage list served in the restaurants and bars, available during opening hours of the bars and restaurants. Includes mini-bar alcoholic beverages (excluding Champagne) + all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Replenishing of consumed items will be one time per day only. 375 ml spirits and bottles of wine will only be replenished every 4 days.

Premium All-Inclusive option: includes daily breakfast served at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Afternoon Tea (available at Latitude with advance reservations), Velaa Bar + Grill and Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu including weekly theme nights at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu including weekly theme nights at Riviera, 3-course set menu at Tabemasu including weekly theme nights (only when the restaurant is open), Teppanyaki dinner at Tabemasu available - once every 4 days (with advance reservations and only when the restaurant is open).

Drinks: unlimited consumption of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks from the All-Inclusive beverage list served in the restaurants and bars. House Champagne, served by the glass only. Includes mini-bar alcoholic beverages and all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Replenishing of consumed items will be one time per day only. 375 ml spirits and bottles of wine will only be replenished every 4 days. Room upgrades

Beach Garden Pool Villas feature an open-air bathroom, private pool, and direct beach access from the patio, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Beach Pool Villas are the same as above, with a pool located at the front of the villa.

Overwater Villas with pools have either sunrise or sunset views, private pool, and direct lagoon access. The bedroom has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villas feature direct beach access with a private pool, two bedrooms each with 1 king-size bed or 1 king-size bed and twin beds, and an open-air bathroom, sleeping maximum 6 people.

Nice hotel with good people. Of course exist some points for improving but excellent things much more. They have a new Padel court for all who likes play it is nice option.

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wanted to provide some constructive feedback along with some positive thoughts. The resort would benefit from an app instead of a website to make bookings. We found it frustrating having to refer back to the website each day and sometimes the information regarding restaurant opening hours was incorrect. I am Celiac, which means I cannot eat gluten. The Nachos on the menu at Velar suggest they are gluten free. This is incorrect. I fell quite unwell eating them. It would have also been helpful to know that some of the ingredients in the food on the menu can be adjusted to be gluten free. I did not know this at the beginning of our stay and so I felt very restricted by what I could eat in the restaurants. The buffet in Tourquoise also does not label what has gluten in it. A glass of champagne would have been appreciated upon arrival under the canopy when we got off the sea plane which we have experienced at other resorts in the Maldives. We also think the bicycles/padel & tennis should be complimentary and awarded to each room. Other than that all of the staff were incredibly warm, helpful and eager to please and accommodate all of our requests. Hadee in Water Sports made our stay extra special with his knowledge of marine life, taking care of our goggles and fins, finding us dolphins on our jet ski tour, taking videos and photos of us and looking after us whilst snorkeling with sharks. Please thank him for us. A special mention to Ziyaam, the waiter in Le Vie, he was incredibly attentive throughout our stay making sure we had enough drinks, always with a smile. We wish him all the best and thank him for great service. Our spa treatment was one of the best we have ever had and a special mention to Khan. Pradeep was our stay curator (butler), he kindly made me a gluten free packed lunch to take to the airport. He also ensured we had a special dining experience on our last night which we were not expecting. It was greatly appreciated. The food was the best out of every resort we have been to. We had an incredible stay at Le Meridien Maldives! This trip was extra special because it was my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. I ended up with four different birthday cakes and three separate birthday serenades from various teams it was the sweetest surprise. We stayed in Room 246, which had a private pool and stunning views. The room was a bit farther from the main restaurant, but we didn’t mind it gave us an excuse to ride bikes everywhere, which became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We enjoyed karaoke nights and loved listening to Stella perform live she has such a beautiful voice. The ladies at Turquoise restaurant were so kind and attentive, and the food was always delicious. A special thank you to Ali at the front desk. He helped us from check in through our entire stay and made sure everything went smoothly. His kindness and attention to detail really stood out. Our stay at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa was truly unforgettable! We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa with my kids, and it was absolutely perfect. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views — and the private pool quickly became everyone’s favorite spot! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially Mr. Maadh, whose warm hospitality and personal touch made our stay even more special. This resort is a fantastic choice for families with kids. Everything from the food to the activities was thoughtfully planned to suit all ages.
