The rooms, especially the overwater villa, were truly amazing. Stargazing at night and enjoying morning swims were special highlights of our stay. The room service kept the rooms spotless and well-maintained throughout our visit. There was no noise at all, and the rooms were well-lit at night. It was a fantastic value for the price. We especially appreciated the support staff, including Curator/Chef Pradeep, Photographer/Staff Simon, and all the restaurant staff, who were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special. We have just returned from a 6 night stay as a family of 4 with a baby who also travelled with another family. We had a wonderful stay and are already looking at a return visit as we were so sad to leave. The food and service is second to none and the over water villas are particularly special. We were on the all inclusive package and ate at every resturant having an excellent meal each time - I particularly enjoyed the steaks at Velaa and the sea bass at Riveria. Amazing chefs and staff, the adults bar La Vie does the most wonderful frozen drinks - the Froze and rose bar were nice touches. The hotel staff were absolutely incredible particularly Sandy from the kids club who looked after our 4 month old as part of the babysitting service. Sandy was absolutely wonderful with our daughter and it really enabled us to relax and enjoy the holiday as much as possible, she was also flexible and happy to accommodate our plans .The kids club and the team there are really fab, Reesha and Torsa. Our older daughter and her friend hardly left the kids club all week and the kids club and babysitting with Sandy are the main reasons we are looking to return. Special mention as well to Mauch and Nasseth who served us at breakfast everyday, I wish I had the names of some of the others as everyone who we met in each bar and restaurant were also incredible and the ladies who served us in turquoise at breakfast were really lovely as well as the check in staff who helped us with our room. Such a lovely team at this resort and we can’t wait to come back, thank you for a really special holiday. Read less

We visited this resort in early June 2026. We stayed for 5 nights in an overwater bungalow. We went six months after our wedding for our honeymoon, and my wife was four months pregnant during our stay. Long story short: this was the best vacation either of us had ever been on, and both of us cannot give enough praise to this resort and staff! The island was absolutely stunning. Pictures cannot do it justice. The island is serene and peaceful, very calm and quiet. There is music near the restaurants but it is largely non-invasive. There are several beaches and pools at the resort, and none were ever very busy, though we did visit during the wet season, and this may have resulted in lower crowds. Our room was incredible. It was very spacious and included a king sized bed and bathroom/shower/tub that overlooked the water. There were privacy walls and blinds that could close while bathing. Our deck had a hammock and the water outside was beautifully clear and refreshing. The Maldivian tides change throughout the day, and we found the tide extremely low in the morning (barely up to our knees) and then much higher in the afternoon. We preferred to be out there in the morning and walk along the ocean floor--truly a unique experience! There are waterhens and fruit bats on the island (the bats are large but they are harmless), alongside a few types of lizards, but animal life is pretty low on land. The resort has excellent pest management and we hardly noticed any bugs during our entire trip. Marine life is a different story, and we often saw fish, turtles, and sharks swimming in the clear blue water right outside our room or alongside walking paths. The island is small and everything is within walking distance, but the resort offers golf cart service from your room or activities at no charge. We found the service to be extremely prompt and convenient. The carts are equipped with covers when it rains, as well. This was exceptionally convenient since our bungalow was on the far end of our jetty and made things much easier on my wife. You can also rent bikes for a fee, but we did not elect to do so. The food here is excellent. We paid for full board which included breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, in addition to soft drinks/mocktails with meals and non-alcoholic minibar service in our room (refilled daily). We found that we could not finish meals as they were so large, but we never had a bad meal at any point. Despite there only being 3 included restaurants on the island (with 2 additional restaurants that are not included in our dining package), we never felt like we ran out of options or repeated dishes we didn't enjoy. A particular highlight was the breakfast buffet, which included fresh fruit and juices, alongside crepe, waffle, and omlette stations. We spent most of our time at the resort at the beach or pool, just enjoying the water and the scenery, but we did engage in a few activities. We went on the dolphin cruise and while we didn't see dolphins (they say there's roughly a 50/50 chance of seeing them), we had a wonderful time boating through the Indian Ocean. I went snorkeling over the house reef and found the experience to be truly magical. Both these experiences were additional charges, but we found them to be well worth the cost of admission. The top highlight of the trip, by far, was the service we received. From the moment we landed in the Maldives, Le Meridien staff greeted us and assisted us to the seaplane. Staff waved to us while we landed and walked us through the island immediately, offering us native juices and warm towels while we completed our check in. Upon arriving to our room, we found an assortment of chocolates and a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne to celebrate our honeymoon and pregnancy. This treatment continued at the restaurants, where the staff decorated our tables to celebrate us. Staff remembered us from day to day and made many accommodations, such as providing my wife with a pillow for back support whenever we were seated. They even prepared a special dish for us on our last night at the resort! We felt like the staff made tremendous strides to get to know us and to accommodate us, whether it was sending fresh fruit to our room or providing us with additional amenities upon request. We were able to pay for the trip with credit card points, using a promotion we received from the Marriot Bonvoy card. The full board, seaplane transfer, and activties were the only items we paid for, and the total cost wound up being around $3500. Paying per-night would have increased this cost significantly, but we firmly believe that the resort is well worth the price tag. If we could afford frequent returns (and stomach the long haul flights!), we would absolutely come back often. 10/10. This is a vacation we will dream about for the rest of our lives. Read less
