Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa

Me and my partner stayed at this resort for 14 days and we loved our time here. We genuinely made amazing memories and got to experience the hospitality of Le Meridien, the staff here are the most kind, attentive, friendly, caring people who made our stay the wonderful vacation it was. The island is beautiful, the service attentive and we could feel the warmth and passion of the people striving to make us feel welcomed. I regard myself as a person attuned to quality of service and all the minor details and i can confidently say this stay has not only met my standards but exceeded expectations! We loved the cuisine especially, the curated menus for each restaurant are balanced and carefully crafted in a way everyone can find something great to enjoy, the quality of food is great both in terms of freshness of produce and the cook and execution of every dish. The staff is very attentive and responsive to feedback and always strive to improve on guest experiences. We had quite a long stay and the team at Velaa bar + grill specifically was fantastic at surprising us with off menu dishes and curated experiences, including altering some menu items to suit our tastes. We would like to deeply thank chef Pradeep at Velaa, he has made our stay infinitely more enjoyable and memorable. He is a passionate talented chef and also a wonderful person who took time to step out of the kitchen and speak to us making sure we are well taken care of, putting in extra effort to wow us with immaculate food each time we came. He makes the absolute best most balanced ceviche appetizer and executes entrees with care and precision ensuring flavor in every bite. Our farewell dinner at Velaa bar + grill was our favorite dining experience, the team set up a breathtaking ambient candlelit dinner with flowers and a view of the stars under the open sky, the food and beverages were immaculate. We got to enjoy the most delicious perfectly cooked fresh lobster risotto with asparagus and lobster foam, and we were surprised with a huge spread of grilled surf and turf including lamb chops, beef tenderloin, king prawns, crispy skin salmon and reef fish, everything tasted impeccable and unforgettably good. Chef Pradeep and his team at Velaa were definitely the MVPs of our dining experiences, along with the F&B manager who always made sure we were happy and satisfied with the service. Overall this was the dream come true we could not have even hoped for and we confidently believe this was an 11/10, once in a lifetime event that will always be a special memory for us. We would also like to thank the staff at Turquoise for being so friendly and attentive, especially during breakfast service! Another very special person who made our stay infinitely better was our wonderful housekeeper Bimit who kept our villa spotlessly clean and put in extra effort to make it homey and comfortable. The towel animals and handwritten notes made us smile everyday and a pleasant surprise was the lusciously foamy, aroma scented bubble bath she drew for us when i was feeling a bit ill. We also loved the La Vie adults-only bar with the incredibly skilled bartenders who made us custom drinks perfectly suited to our preferences. Our stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The resort itself is breathtaking, but it is the people who truly make this place so special. We were celebrating my sister’s milestone birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable. We were touched by the beautiful birthday table decorations at each restaurant, along with the thoughtful cake and balloons waiting for us in our villa. These unexpected touches made the celebrations feel incredibly personal and created memories we’ll cherish forever. The dining experiences were outstanding. Chef Rahul, Head Chef at Turquoise, simply couldn’t have done enough for us. Every time we dined at Turquoise, he was always asking if there was anything he could prepare in addition to the buffet and regularly checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The buffet was fabulous every time we visited, with a fantastic variety and consistently high quality. His warmth, generosity, and genuine desire to ensure we had the best possible dining experience went above and beyond, making us feel incredibly valued throughout our stay. Chef Pradeep at Velaa is also an exceptional chef whose passion shines through in every dish. His chilled beetroot soup was one of the best dishes we’ve tasted, while the crab cakes, pumpkin soup, signature lamb chops, and every other dish we ordered were equally delicious. What made the experience even more special was the time he took to come and speak with us personally, making every meal feel memorable. After our stay, he even kindly shared his beetroot soup recipe with us, which was such a thoughtful gesture and something we’ll always remember. A special thank you also goes to our Stay Curator, Rishab Katwal, whose attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism ensured everything ran seamlessly throughout our holiday. We would also like to thank Xavii and all the team at Riviera, who provided exceptional service throughout our stay. A big thank you to Nasheeth at Turquoise, who looked after us so warmly during breakfast and dinner, always greeting us with a smile and making every meal feel special. He also took the time to have insightful conversations with us and happily answered our many questions about the Maldives. We learned so much from him, and it was always a pleasure chatting with him. We would also like to mention Puri and the rest of the team at Turquoise, who were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, making our mornings even more enjoyable. Another big thank you to Mauch. Our daughters absolutely adored him, and he left such a lasting impression on them. Every time he saw them at Turquoise, he took the time to entertain them and make them laugh. Those small interactions meant so much to our family and are memories our girls will treasure. We would also like to extend our thanks to Reesha, the Kids Club Manager, and her team, who were absolutely wonderful with our children. They thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Kids Club and always came back full of excitement and stories. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and kind hands. We also had a fantastic couple of evenings at karaoke thanks to Rupesh, whose enthusiasm, attentiveness, and ability to get everyone involved created such a fun atmosphere. He clearly loves what he does and made the evenings enjoyable for everyone. Rupesh was warm, kind, and always took the time to speak with us whenever we saw him. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Ishaam, our beach villa attendant, whose attention to detail and thoughtful service ensured our villa was always immaculate and welcoming. Every member of the team consistently delivered service with genuine warmth, kindness, and pride. It is rare to experience such consistently high standards across an entire resort, and every single person contributed to making our holiday one of the best we have ever had. We’ve stayed at many wonderful resorts around the world, but what truly sets Le Méridien Maldives apart is its people. Every single member of staff made us feel genuinely valued, and their warmth, kindness, and pride in what they do created a holiday we’ll never forget. We returned home with wonderful memories and cannot thank everyone enough for making our family holiday so incredibly special. Le Méridien Maldives truly is a little slice of paradise, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.
