Where is it

Located on the island of Thilamaafushi, in Lhaviyani Atoll, one of the Maldives’ smaller and underdeveloped atolls. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 35 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

134 well-appointed guest villas, featuring unparalleled views across the whitewashed beaches, the Indian Ocean or turquoise lagoon. All with air-conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, safe, bathrobe, shower, hair dryer, bathroom amenities, smart TV, and complimentary WiFi access. Beach Villas are 82 sqm featuring direct beach access, outdoor bathroom, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

Half Board option:includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at La Vie Bar.

Full Board option:includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill and 3-course set menu at La Vie Bar. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill or 3-course set menu at Riviera.

Drinks: unlimited consumption of non-alcoholic beverages from the beverage list served in the above-mentioned outlets, only during mealtime (breakfast, lunch or dinner), and to be consumed in the outlets only. Mini-bar - non-alcoholic beverage and snacks replenished once per day.

All-Inclusive option:includes daily breakfast buffet at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Velaa Bar + Grill and La Vie Bar. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu at Riviera and 3-course set menu at Tabemasu, available once every 4 days (only when the restaurant is open).

Drinks: unlimited consumption of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks from the All-Inclusive beverage list served in the restaurants and bars, available during opening hours of the bars and restaurants. Includes mini-bar alcoholic beverages (excluding Champagne) + all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Replenishing of consumed items will be one time per day only. 

Premium All-Inclusive option:includes daily breakfast served at Turquoise. Lunch, choice of Turquoise (only when the restaurant is open), Waves Café, Afternoon Tea (available at Latitude with advance reservations), Velaa Bar + Grill and Riviera. Dinner, choice of daily theme dinner buffet or a 3-course set menu served at Turquoise (set menu only when buffet is not available), 3-course set menu at Velaa Bar + Grill, 3-course set menu at Riviera, 3-course set menu at Tabemasu, Teppanyaki dinner at Tabemasu available - once every 4 days (with advance reservations and only when the restaurant is open).

Drinks: unlimited consumption of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the All-Inclusive beverage list served in the restaurants and bars. House Champagne, served by the glass only. Includes mini-bar alcoholic beverages and all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Replenishing of consumed items will be one time per day only. USD 50.00 credit applicable per each bottle of premium Champagne.

Room upgrades

Beach Garden Pool Villas feature an open-air bathroom, private pool, and direct beach access from the patio, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Beach Pool Villas are the same as above, with a pool located at the front of the villa.

Overwater Villas with pools have either sunrise or sunset views, private pool, and direct lagoon access. The bedroom has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villas feature direct beach access with a private pool, two bedrooms each with 1 king-size bed or 1 king-size bed and twin beds, and an open-air bathroom, sleeping maximum 6 people.

It's so good to have a dolphin trip. In this wide and wavy ocean, i don't think it is a simple matter to meet the dolphins. But we met some and they are all so big and black. It is so lucky for us, even it happened when we are in the return back side. And so happy to have XiaoQi for this trip.

We loved our stay at the Le Meridien Maldives and here are a few things that made our experience exceptional. We had such an incredible experience with our stay curator Chef Pradeep during our stay. From the moment we arrived, he reached out to us and was extremely professional, proactive, and thoughtful throughout our entire trip. He went above and beyond his role as our stay curator, even suggesting water activities for us to try during our stay ..which ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip! To make our experience even more special, Chef Pradeep prepared the most amazing going-away dinner for us. It was genuinely the best meal we had all week and such a memorable way to end our stay. We are incredibly grateful that we had him assigned to us as our stay curator. His attention to detail, hospitality, and genuine care made a huge difference in our experience. We also want to give a special shout-out to all of the servers at Velaa Bar & Grill. Everyone was beyond professional, welcoming, and kind. We were especially impressed by Simon, whose service and hospitality really stood out to us. We also went to the sunset dolphin cruise led by Sharen, Rizu and Mamun which was amazing. The dolphin‑watching tour was absolutely wonderful! We got to enjoy champagne while spotting plenty of cute dolphins. Our guides, Mamun Marc Mohamed and Sharen, were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort. From start to finish, the service was exceptional, with the staff being warm, attentive, and always happy to help. The resort was beautifully maintained, with excellent cleanliness throughout. The food was outstanding, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. A special mention has to go to Velaa Restaurant — a definite 10/10! The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were simply fantastic. Of course, the natural beauty of the Maldives is breathtaking. The resort is surrounded by stunning turquoise water and beautiful white-sand beaches, with plenty of marine life to discover. Snorkelling and seeing the colourful fish and other marine life in such clear water was an unforgettable experience. Overall, Le Méridien Maldives exceeded our expectations. Fantastic service, amazing food, impeccable cleanliness, and incredible surroundings — we would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special Maldivian getaway. 10/10 Read less
