My husband and I travelled to Barbados and stayed at Mango Bay with two other couples from April 26th- May 3rd. My husband and I travel every year, mostly to the DR, Mexico and Florida and stay at 5 star resorts/properties. From the moment we arrived, we had a wonderful time/experience.. Check in was quick and easy- we were greeted with Rum Punch, which was appreciated after a long day of travel. The staff who checked us in were prepared for our arrival and very friendly. The rooms are small but very clean and were thoroughly cleaned each day. We were in a standard room which meant that there was a lot of noise from the street party on Sunday evening. The music and singing went until about 1:30 am. Other than the one evening, noise was not a problem. My advice- join the party for a little while. The beach was lovely and getting a lounger, either at the pool or beach was not a problem. There was one day when the beach had a small amount of sea grass on the shore and staff had it cleaned up before 9:00 am. The food and drinks were amazing and service for the most part was exceptional. The majority of staff are amazing- excellent service, friendly, engaging and clearly enjoy their job and meeting people. The nightly entertainment (singers) were good, with some being a bit better than others. Most engaged the guests, which was fun. We did the free catamaran cruise and enjoyed it. If you are looking for a party resort, this may not be the best option. However, if you are looking for total relaxation, a small resort, beautiful beach, kind and hardworking staff, an island rich in culture and amazing food and drinks, then Mango Bay is a great choice. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Lovely hotel right on a gorgeous beach, just take your ear plugs.

Take your ear plugs! The hotel is lovely, the beach is stunning, we had no issues getting a bed, but most people are down there at 7.30 for breakfast and put their towels out before hand. Take your ear plugs! The hotel is lovely, the beach is stunning, we had no issues getting a bed, but most people are down there at 7.30 for breakfast and put their towels out before hand. A few people come along the beach and try and sell stuff, a polite no thank you and they carry on their way. One of these people however was Lorenzo. We went out on a turtle boat with him which was fantastic, we saw lots of turtles and swam over a ship wreck and coral reef. The staff in the hotel are all lovely, some of them can look quite grumpy but when you get talking to them they are not. The only issue is the noise, the entertainment in the hotel goes on to about 11 and can be heard from most rooms, with ear plugs however I couldn't hear anything. On a Sunday night, the one love bar just outside has a street party, this is very loud and if you are staying in a standard room, the noise is very very loud. We had read reviews before we went and booked a superior room over the other side, and again, with ear plugs we were fine. The rooms are nice enough, comfy, clean and a nice strong shower to get all the sand off. The food is good for an all inclusive, some nights better than others, and most days there is a bbq on the beach for lunch. Mango bay special or a mud slide is the way to go when choosing your cocktails! Entertainment was a bit same-y different singers every night but all very similar, the managers cocktail night was good though. Read less

Mostly served from a menu with 3 or 4 choices per course, which we found to be a nice change from the normal all inclusive buffet. Lots of nice tasting dishes and not massive portions which meant you could have 3 courses and not feel too stuffed. The bar was good. Lovely cocktails and nice wine. We went on the catamaran trip which is free, nice trip down the coast and a swim. We booked a trip with Lorenzo to swim with the turtles and over a ship wreck. He was really good and looked after us really well. Great water sports free from the hotel. Last but certainly not least. Fantastic staff. We were made so welcome from the moment we got to the hotel. Cara on reception made sure we were looked after while waiting for our room to be ready on arrival. Bar and waiting staff, Shemar the mixologist, Anderson, Rayden and Damien waiting on us at our sunbeds (lots of smiles and crazy dancing) Donnel, Tionne and Sharrissa, our waitresses, Nikolai guest services. And Isobelle who did the best Aqua Aerobics, and always made sure we were having a good time. Also to all the staff that helped make our daughter Caitlins 15th birthday a special day. We made lots of friends here and will definitely be back. Thank you Mango Bay ❤️ Read less

Every aspect was superb with special thanks to Darnel, Damien Brittney and Radon as they were particularly superb and so friendly. If you travel anywhere at all, use “Tre” the official taxi man and don’t worry about the construction site next door as you hardly hear it - best holiday of our lives .
