Our stay at OBLU SELECT Lobigili in the Maldives was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a dream. crystal clear waters, stunning sunsets, and the kind of peace you don’t realize you need until you experience it. What truly made this trip exceptional, though, was the incredible hospitality. A special shoutout to our island host, Mechelle, who went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday so memorable. From beautifully decorating our room to organizing thoughtful surprises and making sure the celebrations continued across the island, every detail was handled with genuine care and warmth. It wasn’t just service, it felt personal. You can tell when someone takes pride in creating meaningful experiences, and that’s exactly what we felt throughout our stay. Our second most unforgettable trip to Lobigili ❤️ I can’t tell you how much we love this island and we were just so excited to be going back to experience the food , chilled vibes and of course all the same happy familiar faces. It didn’t disappoint - in fact it was even better the second time round. We felt immediately settled in as soon as we arrived by speed boat - the saxophonist & staff were there to welcome us back and a nice cool drink at the bar - perfect! We had the same beach villa (room 113) which is perfect for us - straight out into the beach. It was just as we remembered it 2 years ago. Everything was perfect including a mini bar of beers, soft drinks, snacks & mini bottles of prosecco. We went straight to the spa for our first free full body massage to relax into our holiday. We had the same 2 amazing ladies as before - Ching & Pabry. Both are really experienced and give a really great massage. We went back to see them for our second massge at the end of our stay. Although everything on this island is out of this world , our highlight of the day is the delicious food at Ylang- We especially love the Indian station. Each day they serve different kinds curries, dahls and side dishes. All are just superb and we ate it for lunch every day. There are also plenty of varied salads, pizzas, pasta dishes & Asian dishes too which are equally as good. Tuesday night is our favourite night. It’s market night. All the chefs create so much tasty food it’s hard to choose what to have ! You can have lobster or prawns on the bbq, Asian curries , dim sum, just about everything! Plus a big selection of scrummy desserts. We went back to the underwater restaurant Only Blu which is included in the all inclusive package. It’s amazing to eat with all the fish & sharks swimming around you ! The food is really good & each course paired with a different wine. We also ate at the food truck on the beach front (also included) which was again more delicious food. Plus we added a whole lobster for an extra £20 (approx ) which was well worth it. We did yoga with Mamoj the instructor. He was really good and it was a great experience to be doing yoga overlooking the sea. Bliss. The Swing bar offers lots of drinks including cocktails plus they will make you anything that’s not on their list. Sara and Venera are very accommodating. Also is was great to see Sam again who was our host last time. She made the effort to come and chat to us during our stay. We took a private jet ski tour with Ziyad and we went snorkelling with turtles which was such special & amazing experience that we will always remember. We also tried kayaking and paddle boarding which are both included at the sports Centre, which was good fun too. We cannot wait to go back again. It’s just the most perfect place for us and you really wouldn’t be disappointed if you booked it.
