OBLU SELECT Lobigili

Absolutely fabulous! We have just returned from a two week holiday of a lifetime staying at a beach water villla on Lobigili. Everything was superb from start to finish. The villa was very well equipped and just steps from the most beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear turquoise warm sea. The food at all the restaurants was delicious with great choices,something for everyone. However the best thing of all were all of the wonderful staff on the island. Everyone without exception were friendly, helpful and polite from all the restaurant staff, the bar staff and those that serviced our room for us. But the biggest shout out goes to our host Alpi who was the most attentive, kind and helpful person. She always went the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble for her. She is a real credit to the team. We really hope to come back again soon. Read less

Fantastic holiday! Five star experience in every sense. Friendly and efficient staff, outstanding food and very clean. We loved our stay here and cannot praise it highly enough. All the staff were wonderful but special thanks go to our hostess Mechelle, the food and beverage manager Carol and all her team, including Elin, Hana,Teju and Setia. We had two fantastic massages at the Spa and thanks to all the team. The pool was gorgeous as was the beach. We really enjoyed two meals at Oblu and highly recommend a visit both during the day and the evening. Our over sea Nest Villa was beautifully appointed with a large bathroom, huge very comfortable bed and a wooden decking area where we loved sitting and watching the fish swim by, We hope to go back next year! My husband and I have just returned from a weeks’ stay at the Oblu Select Lobigili Resort and to say that it is the most outstanding resort we have ever visited would be an understatement. It was simply paradise!! From the moment we arrived we could not have had a better experience. We were kindly greeted by musicians as we pulled up in the speedboat which is a 15 mins transfer from the hotel and we were greeted by our excellent host, Alya who gave us outstanding service throughout the entire week. The food was amazing with plenty of choice and variety, and even though we ate in the main restaurant most evenings, it felt like a different experience each night. We ate at the Gaadiya 17 food truck which was lovely - barbecue food on the beach - and our night at the underwater restaurant on our last evening was a real highlight. The food throughout the whole week could not be faulted. The service was absolutely impeccable and a big shout out to Haydie, Rashka, Carol and Elin who made our experience unforgettable. The whole staff went out of their way to help my husband and I celebrate our 40th birthdays with decorated tables, birthday cakes, flowers, decorated bedrooms and even a birthday bubble bath!! The accommodation in our water villa was outstanding. The whole place was absolutely spotless. A big thanks to Swostika who came in twice a day. The mini fridge was restocked and everything had been thought through down to sunhats, flip-flops dressing gowns, travel adapters and suncreams - all of which was provided. A big shout out to the landscapers and cleaners who ensure that the island is pristine and every single area of the island is spotless. We had a great time at the swing bar with plenty of variety of international premium brands. Although the island is small, there is plenty to keep you occupied throughout the course of the week. There is a host of water-sports included as well as snorkelling equipment. Under the Lobi plan (those staying 4 nights or more) we had a 45 minute spa treatment (my stress buster massage by Ching was great!) included which was amazing; access to 2 trips (we chose the Sunset cruise and the guided snorkelling) and access to the underwater restaurant as well as the food track. There is also a daily program of activities from cocktail making to cookery courses which my husband and I took up. We made tiramisu with Deki which was a nice addition to the trip and was a chance to get out of the sun for a couple of hours. The program also included aqua sports and a pool party. There are other trips and tours available. Should you wish to access them for an additional price. The evening entertainment is quiet with just a local duo on a guitar and a piano but it was nice enough if you just wanted a quiet evening. However, for those who want more entertainment, you could easily walk to the next island for a more lively fare. The snorkelling was amazing across the house reef. We were overwhelmed by the variety of species of fish that we saw just off our water villa m; and we even saw the local turtle and a number of black tip reef sharks which do not pose a threat. Other guests witnessed stingrays and other sharks species. All in all a fabulous stay. As a couple who travel the world, we always say that we would never go back to the same destination twice. However, I would certainly return to Oblu Select Lobigili in a heartbeat. Read less
