Our honeymoon at OBLU SELECT Sangeli was nothing short of magical. From the very first moment Shona and I arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere truly extraordinary. We were welcomed with an incredible traditional BoduBeru performance that instantly immersed us in the Maldivian spirit. A huge thank you to Frank, Eliza and the entire team for such a warm, joyful reception — it was the perfect start to our honeymoon and made us feel so special from day one. We stayed on the All-Inclusive Serenity Plan, which elevated the entire experience. The plan includes two à la carte dining experiences for every four days of your stay, allowing us to enjoy unforgettable meals at Just Wok and Just Grill, alongside the fantastic offerings at The Courtyard. The food across the resort was simply exceptional — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and enjoyed in the most breathtaking surroundings with panoramic ocean views. Every meal felt like a celebration. As part of the Serenity Plan, we also enjoyed a couples massage at the spa, which was incredibly relaxing and indulgent — the perfect way to unwind together in paradise. Our Sea Villa was absolutely amazing. Waking up each morning to uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean was surreal. We had direct steps down into the crystal-clear water, which made spontaneous swims and snorkelling effortless and unforgettable. One of our favourite features was the glass window in the floor — being able to look down and see fish swimming beneath us was such a special touch and a constant reminder of the natural beauty surrounding us. The snorkelling was simply stunning — vibrant marine life, clear warm waters, and an underwater world that felt like something from a documentary. Because it was our honeymoon, the resort went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made our stay even more memorable. We were treated to a one-time Honeymoon Dinner for two at The Courtyard, which was beautifully set up and incredibly romantic. We also received a honeymoon memento gift, a delicious honeymoon cake, and a gorgeous bed décor arrangement in our villa — such meaningful details that made our celebration feel truly unique. The Sangs Bar quickly became one of our favourite spots. The views, especially at sunset, were breathtaking, and the cocktails were outstanding. Lahiru and his team were exceptional — attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our honeymoon extra special. The “Bubbles Under the Stars” experience they created for us was pure magic — intimate, romantic, and something we will cherish forever. The island itself is paradise — stunning white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and immaculate surroundings everywhere you look. The cleanliness and attention to detail across the entire resort is remarkable. Most importantly, the staff were incredible. Every single person we encountered was warm, professional, and eager to ensure we had the best possible experience. Shona and I truly could not have chosen a better place to begin our married life together. Wonderful 10 Night stay in Paradise

we were lucky enough to stay in a water villa for our 10 night stay, the room was a really good size with a nice big bathroom, our room attendant was Kaiom and he was brilliant he always made sure we had want we needed. the mini bar was always stocked with drinks and snacks. The island is lovely and plenty of things to do, we had 2 spa treatments which were just what we needed. the snorkelling trip was brilliant and so well organised we got to see thousands of fish and a turtles just off the islands reef. we made use of the gym and took part in the daily fitness classes, the instructor was great and sometimes I ended up with private PT sessions if I was the only one who turned up. It had plenty of equipment with the best view. all of the food was good, if you couldn't see something you wanted and mentioned it to a member of staff they would try and sort it out for you. the Salad lady was great and the Ronny the fruit guy always made sure you had a great selection, we ate at both Just Wok and Just Grill and the food was outstanding. In the courtyard we were always greeted by the wonderful staff, we must mention Inaasha, Sia and Moe who just made us feel so welcome. what make this island amazing is the staff, each and everyone of them are a credit to Sangeli. The app was great as you could see what was going on each day, we arrived to find that things had been booked in for us which made the holiday so relaxed. we were there to celebrate our 25 years and I can honesty say they really made us feel special, We really hope we can return again one day soon Read less

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Sangeli, it was not our first but second visit to the island, we went to celebrate my and my wife's big birthday, we were traveling with family and after a discussion with grandchildren it was an obvious choice. After a flight to Dubai and then onto Male we boarded our speed tender for the 50 minute journey to the island. We were greeted the usual way with Maldavian drums, we had checked into the island beforehand and filled in the required immigration forms. After a short while both parties were shown to our rooms, we both had booked 2 bedroom beach villas with pools, the accommodation was as we remembered, a king size bed, tea and coffee making facilities fridge with 4 beers and bottle of sparkling and still wine, sprite and coke all restocked daily, there was plenty of hanging space and drawers and the all important safe. The outside bathroom had twin washbasins, rain and normal shower as well as a bath, again all toiletries were restocked as required, the main part of the villa also had a small lounge. The second bedroom was a twin again with all the usual facilities. Every member of staff on the island were a credit to the management team from the gardener's, room attendant, catering, bar staff and entertainment. I would like to mention 3 members of staff who particularly looked after us, Frank, Dinesh, and Raul head chef, all the family were impressed the way you looked after us but as stated every staff member in all departments were fantastic. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all served in the courtyard restaurant, the choice and quality of the food was delicious there was always something for everyone. There is also 2 specialist al a carte restaurants, Just Grill and Just Wok, we ate in Just Grill twice on our birthdays the steak was cooked to perfection, other choices are available, Just Wok was Asian food we had lunch there one day and again the choice was excellent, both these restaurants are on the adults only part of the island. Nightly entertainment was low key in Sangs Bar headed by Zaki, again he was great, all the staff worked extremely hard to keep you supplied with your favourite tipple. One thing I would like to mention is the Maldavian night in the restaurant and in Sangs bar, typical Maldavian food is served on 1 night and then in Sangs the male Maldavian men would dance and beat their drums, we all enjoyed all elements of the night in our opinion not to be missed. Apart from the snorkeling we did a little more this time, the 3 grandaughters and son in law went jet skiing, I went with family kayaking we also went in the submarine with the glass windows around the reef, (no it does not dive underwater) 2 granddaughters even went parasailing. I can not praise this island enough and the wife and I are already planning another holiday to Sangeli next year, it ticks every box for both of us so we will not be looking at any other islands. Always a bit hesitant to go back to the same place twice as we thought it wouldn't be as good as the first time but we LOVED this place. Everything from the team at Male airport, the smooth 1 hour speedboat to the island, the fantastic staff that greeted us.. it was all AMAZING. We were stuck trying to find which island to visit especially now with a 1 year old but so glad we picked this. The staff are all very friendly and the service is great. We can't remember everyone's names but Tore on the live station always making great convo (And great pasta), Surendra the head chef as well as Rahul who went above and beyond for us and our little one. Chef at the live Indian counter was great too.. always smiling. Drinks came quickly too. Baby friendly section in the restaurant was great too with a good selection. I think we found the food here better than our stay at South LUX, very tasty and fresh food with new themes everyday so we never got bored of the same foods. The staff at the kids club were all great too as well as the staff at front desk.. we unfortunately didn't catch all their names but everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. I think most islands in the Maldives are great but what was great about this place were the excellent staff and the great food which made our holiday.
