3 restaurants: The Courtyard (all-day dining menu with buffet, live cooking stations, theme nights and Indian Ocean night every Friday), JustWok (fine-dining, contemporary Pan-Asian menu, outdoor dining area), Just Grill (fine dining seafood and meat grill menu, open for lunch and dinner). Adults can enjoy a light a la carte lunch at One Banyan Island during the day. The Sangs pool bar (with fresh local afternoon snacks at the Hedhikaa Hut)

We’ve just spent a week at Oblu Select and honestly, it’s been one of the best trips we’ve ever had. The standout, without question, is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredible – warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great time. It’s rare to see that level of consistency across an entire resort, and it made a huge difference to the experience. The island itself is in fantastic condition. It’s beautifully maintained, the rooms are excellent, and everything feels well looked after without being over the top. It strikes a really nice balance. The food and drink are also exceptional, especially considering this is an all-inclusive at this price point. The quality, variety, and consistency are genuinely impressive – easily some of the best we’ve experienced in a similar package. One of the highlights of the trip was the Nurse Shark tour with the dive centre. It was absolutely unforgettable and one of the best experiences we’ve ever done. Highly recommend it. Overall, it’s very hard to find anything negative to say about this place. It delivers on every level – location, accommodation, food, and most importantly, the people. Only very minor downside: the DJ wasn’t quite at the same level as everything else. Seen some amazing DJs in The Maldives so was disappointed as seems her first ever time DJing. That’s a small footnote in what was otherwise a near-perfect trip and the music We’d come back in a heartbeat. Would love to name every staff member who was amazing but just far too many to name. A dream vacation. This is our 4th time in the Maldives, but for the first time we will definitely return to the same resort, namely Oblu Select Sangeli. Returning to the vacation, we stayed 10 nights in the water villa, where everything was perfect, cleanliness - thanks to Shirfan -, the minibar stocked every day, and the view from the deck sensational. The food was very good every day, with enough choices of dishes and with particularly kind and funny girls at the entrance, namely Kelina, Moi, Inosha and Martini. Regarding the a la carte restaurants, we must mention the extraordinary chef Kamal Kumar, from Just Wok, who on one of the evenings we had dinner, prepared us some special dishes that were extraordinary. Also at both bars in the resort you could find a very large selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with a special mention to Viney from One Banyan Pool Bar who prepared us some delicious drinks. Last but not least, we would like to thank Eliza who welcomed us upon arrival at the resort and gave us information about everything that exists within the resort, as well as the manager Mr. Frank whose farewell after 5 years - we met him at Varu for the first time - gave us a great pleasure. The private pool added an extra layer of luxury What truly sets this experience apart is the all-inclusive aspect done right. The food was consistently excellent, with a variety of options that never felt repetitive. From fresh seafood to international dishes, every meal felt like a treat. Drinks, including cocktails, were generous and well-crafted—no skimping, no compromises. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. The staff struck that rare balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our stay special. Snorkeling right off the villa was another highlight—vibrant marine life just steps away made it feel like we had our own private aquarium. And when we wanted a change of pace, the resort offered plenty of activities without ever feeling crowded or busy. Overall, this was the kind of place that redefines relaxation and luxury. We’ve just come back from a stay at OBLU SELECT Sangeli as a group of 8 adults, and we had a fantastic time. We did a lot of research beforehand — we wanted somewhere with a good house reef, strong all-inclusive offering, and something that fit the budget for a group trip — and Sangeli ticked all the boxes. Everyone in the group came away really happy with the choice. We stayed in overwater villas with pools, which were spacious, clean and very well maintained. The house reef is really good, especially for the variety of marine life — we saw sharks, eagle rays, stingrays and turtles during our stay. Definitely recommend doing the drift snorkel along the drop-off near the sunrise villas — starting near the honeymoon villas and drifting along was a highlight. The food was fantastic — great variety, really good flavours, and more than enough choice across the restaurants. Definitely book Just Wok and Just Grill, and we also loved the relaxed lunches at the adults-only pool. The all-inclusive package is generous — we definitely made the most of both the food and drinks. The included excursions are a great extra, so it’s worth taking advantage of as many as you can. Service across the resort was consistently friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Amandeep and the wider team — too many great people to name individually, but everyone contributed to making the stay special and well looked after. Although the resort isn’t adults-only, it worked really well for our group. There were some children around, but it never felt overrun, and we always found plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it — particularly for groups of adults looking for a great all-round Maldives option. Read less
