3 restaurants: The Courtyard (all-day dining menu with buffet, live cooking stations, theme nights and Indian Ocean night every Friday), JustWok (fine-dining, contemporary Pan-Asian menu, outdoor dining area), Just Grill (fine dining seafood and meat grill menu, open for lunch and dinner). A perfect Maldives experience

We spent New Year at OBLU Select Sangeli and it was every bit as special as we had dared to dream it would be! The setting was beautiful - all those videos that we assumed had a little filter on them to make them look that perfect? Nope, that’s real! We had a beachside villa and could walk within a few metres to the beach. Our two year old ran around happily and safely in shallow water and the softest sand. We only stayed for 5 days before we headed to Sri Lanka but it was so relaxing it felt like we’d been away for two weeks! We loved the food and had zero complaints. Tonnes of choice and the staff could not do enough for you. Everyone remembered our names from the first day and the manager Frank gave our son a present (a teddy bear) from Santa and he was overjoyed and has taken it everywhere. It’s the little things that matter and the little things are what they do so well. We also had a great massage and snoring trip that was included in the price we paid and we used the gym which was well equipped and used the kayaks. We would highly recommmed and our beach villa (105) was perfect. Our only area for improvement was actually just getting from the airport to the boat. We were met by somebody who ushered us down the airport but didn’t actually come with us to show us the way to the waiting area and we got a bit lost. The waiting area is also on the old part of the airport and a bit grotty compared to everything else which felt luxury. We would love to come back and we absolutely would- just need to get saving! We have never been to the same place twice over that period but we would definitely consider going back to OBLU Select Sangeli the next time we travel to the Maldives. We have been to the Maldives 9 times over the years and it has become a special place. We have never been to the same place twice over that period but we would definitely consider going back to OBLU Select Sangeli the next time we travel to the Maldives. And next time we would take kids and grandkids with us, as it was such a friendly environment with really lovely staff who made us feel welcome. The manager Frank was brilliant and lots of his team were great. We had been to Baros the year before and it was nowhere near as enjoyable as Oblu. The food choices were good and having chef's at the grill and the indian made the eating experience much better. The staff in charge of meeting and greeting and seating us remembered our names after only a couple of days which was impressive. The SPA was excellent and the first time in the Maldives where we were given a free treatment as part of our stay. We loved our trip out to see the dolphins and one of the staff used my phone to video them for us which was a lovely touch. Our one complaint was that we chose the resort because it was a boat trip rather than aeroplane so we should have been there much earlier. However there was about a 2 hour delay from landing to getting on the boat as they waited for people on three different incoming flights before setting off. After a 10 hour flight that was unwelcome and a first from our various Maldives trips. Read less

My wife and I stayed at Oblu Select Sangeli for our Honeymoon. The island/reefs are beautiful, it was cool having a great view from the cabin directly to the ocean. The reef excursions were particularly memorable, for we saw some wild sharks and sea turtles! The resort was clean, with a particular emphasis on sustainability. The service was helpful and attentive, everyone there knew how to help in any situation. The food was great too, both the main buffet as well as the two specialty restaurants. We ate at the South Indian station the most, especially for breakfast. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for an island getaway. Read less

We stayed at OBLU SELECT Sangeli for 4 nights for our honeymoon, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical and perfectly organized. The island is stunning, with crystal-clear turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and lush greenery everywhere. Our villa was beautifully designed, very clean, and offered complete privacy—exactly what we hoped for on a honeymoon. Waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning was unforgettable. The staff deserve special appreciation. Especially Niheart (best butler ever). Everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive, always going the extra mile to make us feel special. They surprised us with thoughtful honeymoon touches that made our stay even more memorable. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options at the main restaurant and specialty dining that was both delicious and well presented. The all-inclusive concept was seamless, and we never felt restricted in choices. We especially loved the snorkeling and marine life around the island—clear waters, colorful fish, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The evenings were calm and romantic, perfect for couples. Overall, OBLU SELECT Sangeli exceeded all our expectations and gave us memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
