For the price we paid for all inclusive package, i would say i'm expecting more from a 5 star resort, i can see there's a lot of improvement to do.
The food in the palms is somewhat disappointing, they offered almost the same menu every morning. The prawns that being served is not fresh, as for a 5 star standard, i think the chefs should do a proper QC before serving to the guest. I did a feedback to the ground staff regarding the prawns, soon later 3 of the staffs including one of chef came to apologize and promises to serve us better next day, which on the next day upon request, they did served fresh prawns. I just hope this never happened, because that's all i can think of when i'm going to the palms everyday.
We are staying at the water villa which is very close by M6M restaurant, the water villa is very shaky due to the strong waves and sound proof is really poor. Every buggy that passes by to the M6M, we can hear it very clearly. Also, we discovered there's renovation sound going on midnight 2am for more than 30 minutes non stop. I reflected this issue to my butler, and again 3 of the managers & staff came to apologize on the next day. I mean.. i came maldives to relax and have a peace of mind.. but all i can hear is drilling sound and having a disturbed sleep. They told me someone had to quick fix something in M6M restaurant.
Room decoration is upon request, they knew we are coming for birthday celebration, but in reality i think they forgot to set up the decoration for us which is disappointing.
I told my butler to set up for me ya.. ok.. i need to ask for it. u know how i felt?
The staff in the spa seem very pushy and keep upselling their package asking me to pay more for an upgrade with 30% discount of something like that, instead of letting guest enjoy the true spa treatment which we already paid on top of our package. They will convince you to use 2 vouchers to combine as 1 full body treatment. 120 minutes became 60 minutes for 1 full body massage. The 1 voucher is only for half body massage. haha! sounds funny. but that's true. And on top of that, that 60 minutes massage is not fully 60 minutes of just massaging, that 60 minutes is including explaining packages, choosing oil, changing bath robe, laying down and finally 25 minutes went by. haha! My session starts at 9am, by the time i lay down already 925am, massage ends at 959am. 10am leaving the spa room.
On the brighter note, we enjoy the service by the staff name Rahul and Moothamin, Both of them need a raise and we really enjoy their service. They are warm and welcoming, they always offered a great service with a great smile.
Restaurant M6M is wonderful, we all loved in.
With all of that, I think i don't have that thought of coming back to ozen life maadhoo, because its too much to process.
