My husband and I stayed at Ozen Life Maadhoo for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Our room was beautiful and was serviced exceptionally by Jashim who also created the most wonderful towel animals as well as a very special honeymoon message! Ayush also looked after us so well, answering all our questions and being on hand for anything we required, even going out of his way to make special arrangements for my dietary requirements. The food throughout the whole resort was incredible, such a great selection and so fresh, even cooking some of our fave dishes at request too. A special shout out to chef Sonny and Rahul! Our whole week was an absolute joy and we cannot recommend enough! Read less

At Ozen, I saw the most beautiful beach in the world. I absolutely loved the welcome ceremony on the island — we stepped onto the dock to the sound of drums, filled with joy. The entrance lobby leading to the pool was truly stunning. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and we were in awe the entire way. This is genuinely the best resort I've ever seen. Ayush kindly took us on a golf cart tour around the island. My wife and I loved every single beach and every swing on the island. My wife especially enjoyed sitting on the swings while I took Instagram-worthy photos of her. The kids loved the slide — they could slide right down into the bay behind our villa. The water there was shallow and safe, with so many fish. My wife loves snorkeling. She even swam out quite far and discovered Ozen's remarkable coral reef restoration site. I was truly amazed — you can tell they've put tremendous thought and effort into coral restoration. We saw a large stretch of mesh cages underwater, with corals blooming one by one on the frames. It was absolutely beautiful. I also really enjoyed the M6M underwater restaurant, where we spotted sharks and sea anemones. Our time on the island was simply wonderful. On the afternoon of February 15, 2026, around 3 PM, we went to the overwater spa pavilion on the island for a massage. The pavilion had a beautiful high pointed roof. Although I've forgotten the names of the two professional massage therapists, they should be traceable from the booking records for the 3 to 4 PM slot on the 15th. This was the best spa experience of my life. I've been to Bali before, but the combination of aromatherapy and the stunning beach here made the massage experience truly exceptional. After the massage, we even spotted a beautiful crab on the floor of the pavilion. After leaving the spa area, we saw two adult birds with two chicks foraging in the trees by the water bird flower pond. This kind of close encounter with nature was incredibly unique. I really love the island's ecosystem — we heard there are also two sea turtles near the beach, which is exciting. I also really enjoyed swimming in the pool: The poolside bar offers unlimited complimentary cocktails. There was a lady who would make me a different cocktail every day. When my wife and elder son went snorkeling, I would take our second son to practice swimming in the pool, and when we got tired, we'd hop out for a drink. It was truly a wonderful experience. Ozen is the best. Read less

Spent two weeks here in an over water villa and loved it. In summary, the staff were always very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurants was mostly great, and the villa was fantastic. We were a bit worried about going with an over water villa as people said they were noisy, over rated, and often a long walk from the amenities. This wasn’t the case for us. There was some noise from buggies going past but this was very limited and died off at night – just to note, our villa was near the end of the board walk with only six villas past us so we might have been lucky here. We also had a pool villa which I would highly recommend going for if you can as, when we went in February, there was often a red flag flying to discourage swimming in the sea near the villas due to currents. The view of the wildlife swimming around the villa more than made up for any negatives; there were regular blacktip shark sightings, stingrays, trumpetfish, and even the occasional octopus amongst many many more. Best evening entertainment was sipping champagne in the pool watching nature’s show! If the walk from the villa to the restaurants was too much, a quick call to reception and a buggy was only 10 minutes away. The restaurants were almost always fantastic. The palm was the main, semi-buffet style restaurant was as good as it gets for these. Mains were a la carte with a buffet for any other courses. Had an issue one evening with the mains coming before we had started our starters and strangely, even though they came out so quickly, mains were over cooked! The test of good service was how they react when something goes wrong and Ozen did well here. There were two bookable restaurants, a Chinese and an Indian style restaurant which were co-located at the end of a pier. The food was great in both but the room was airless and uncomfortable. The service was quite slow and disjointed even at the late, 8.30 sitting when it really wasn’t busy. Luna was a speciality Maldivian style restaurant for lunch. Access is limited and you only get to eat here once for a two week stay, which is a real shame as the food was great. The crab restaurant was a speciality for an extra charge. Wonderful experience but not sure it was good value at the price. The star of the show was the M6M which stands for minus six meters. As the name suggests, this is six meters below the sea with large glass walls to let you watch the brightly lit sea-life swimming past as you eat your way through a tasting menu. The only small criticism is that the tables were quite cramped. As with Luna, you get this included once in the 13 night stay (apparently you get to go twice for 14 nights). Liked it so much that, when the opportunity to go back for a special Valentine’s meal came up, we went back despite the extra charge. The tables were more spaced out this time and we absolutely loved it! Overall, this was a great experience. From the moment you arrive at the airport and are greeted by Ozen staff, whisked to the private lounge and then carried to the hotel in their own speed boat which was more like a big limousine inside, you feel all the stress flowing away. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough to keep me occupied but then I remembered that I love scuba diving and had vouchers for 4 day’s diving. I’ll review the diving separately but enough to say it was fabulous. Nonetheless, my wife doesn’t dive and wasn’t bored once in the stay. I do need to mention that this isn’t an adults only resort and there were many groups and families, not sure where they all slept in the one bedroom villas! All the staff went above and beyond but if I had to give special mention to anyone it would have to be Danielle who served in the bar and the crab restaurant. Always served with a laugh and a smile. We’ve just returned from 9 incredible nights at OZEN Life Maadhoo, our second visit and once again it was truly special. We stayed in a two-bedroom beachfront villa with a private pool and direct beach access, which worked beautifully for our family of five. The villa was spacious, private and just steps from pristine white sand and crystal-clear sea. Our three children shared one room comfortably (although as they’re getting older, we may need a different setup next time!). Our butler, Faiko, was outstanding, attentive, humble and always there when needed without ever being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. Our villa was kept immaculate throughout our stay by the housekeeping team, who did a fantastic job daily. A very special mention to May, the General Manager, who is such a warm and welcoming presence around the island, she genuinely adds to the atmosphere of the resort. Ken, who looked after us each evening for our pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks, was absolutely wonderful. Such a professional, kind and engaging member of the team, a real asset to the island and someone who made our evenings feel that little bit more special. The food was beautifully prepared with plenty of choice. The dining offering had evolved since our last visit, with a stronger focus on Asian flavours compared to before, but everything remained delicious and of the highest quality. The eggs and avocado at breakfast were a particular highlight for me, absolutely delicious and something we looked forward to each morning. The kids enjoyed the fluffy pancakes each and every morning too! The beaches are stunning, powder white sand, clear water, and always impeccably maintained. The gym is exceptional (one of the best resort gyms we’ve experienced), and the staff there were lovely. My husband and our two older children completed four dives and enjoyed the experience. That said, having previously visited their sister island Varu, we felt the dive team there were slightly more intuitive and engaging with the children, helping them feel fully at ease and making the experience particularly interactive and fun for them. The diving here was professionally run, but just didn’t quite have the same level of child-focused engagement that we experienced at Varu. Overall, OZEN Life Maadhoo remains an exceptional island, beautifully maintained and wonderfully run. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Read less
