The first all-inclusive Pullman resort has landed and they have pulled out all the stops to create the ultimate beach holiday in paradise. Located on the picturesque island of Maamutaa and spanning over 18 hectares, Pullman is bursting with activities, excursions, and wellness programmes, meaning you will always have something to do, and seeing as it's all covered in their generous all-inclusive package you have the freedom to indulge without worrying about extra costs. Where is it

In the southern part of the Maldives, on a private island called Maamutaa. Access is via a 55-minute direct flight (90 minutes indirect) from the capital, Malé, to Kooddoo Airport, followed by a short 15 minute speedboat ride to the resort.

Hotel information

122 villas. All with modern amenities including HD TV, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, mini-bar (replenished daily), indoor and outdoor showers. Beach Villas offers 200 sq m of living space and direct access to the sandy beach via a secluded pathway, and an indoor-outdoor bathroom with two showers and a tub. These villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping a maximum of 2 adults.

Room upgrades

Spacious and ideal for families, Family Beach Villas are 270sqm and has an outdoor living area and 1 king-size bed plus a separate room with a bunk bed. Family Beach Pool Villas are also available.

Beach Pool Villas are 240 sqm with an outdoor living room, terrace area and private pool. Villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Two-bedroom Beach Pool Villas offer 580 sqm of space, with two bedrooms separated by a living room, each has it’s own bathroom.

Ocean Villas are built over the lagoon with direct access to the water below. These villas are 160sqm and have an open air living space and a netted hammock over the water. Villas have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. Ocean Pool Villas are also available.

Sunset Ocean Pool Villas are similar to Ocean Pool Villas but with sunset views.

Ocean Pool Suites offer 185 sqm of space and features an open cabana with loungers, private pool, illuminated glass window in the floor, living room and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

For total seclusion the Two-bedroom Ocean Pool Villas offer 440 sqm of space, including two bedrooms separated by a living room. The master bedroom with 1king-size bed, the second bedroom with twin beds, each with separate bathrooms.

The Aqua Villa is a two-level villa with all the amenities of an Ocean Villa plus an exclusive pool facing East (perfect to watch the sunrise), open-air bathroom, a submerged master bedroom plus an overwater bedroom, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food at all restaurants and bars was just delicious and catered to everyone including those with allergies. The Pullman resort on Maamutaa Island was absolute luxury. The rooms, the location, the food, the drinks, the ocean…. It was all outstanding. Everything paid up front, no need to put your hands in your pocket again. Highly recommended.

True luxury in literal paradise. From the moment we arrived in Male we hardly lifted a finger. From being met at the airport and taken through an easy connecting flight then short boat ride to the Pullman, everything was handled for us. And the same is true in reverse at the end of our stay. The effort by the staff to pamper you and make sure you are enjoying every moment is really above and beyond. Elma really excelled at making our honeymoon special. She had a new suitcase sent to me after mine was damaged by the airline. I dropped some cash in the water sports shop, and even though the staff there did not know my name or Villa number, an hour later Elma contacted me to see if some found money was mine. Apparently they looked at the shop’s video to track me down. I told them I’d drop by reception later, but a couple hours later a staff security guard brought it to me poolside. There are many more examples of staff going the extra mile—-most of them, including the buggy drivers remembered my Villa number before I did! Many staff deserve special recognition, including Elma, Alam, Nimasha, Jefferin, Moin, Arum, Ani, and several more whose names escape me. Suffice it to say that the entire staff exemplifies a culture of friendliness and excellence. Be aware that in the rainy season there may be multiple days (at least in our experience) when it’s very windy, especially on the sunset villas side and excursions are canceled, but a little research can help you navigate that. But even the passing tropical downpours were cool. A great excuse to hang out in the bars, or game room, which includes professional Karaoke rooms. Otherwise, everything you see in the videos of the resort is exceeded when you experience it in person, from the food and drinks to the beaches, pools and trip. Stay a week at least! We did 10 days and it went too fast! Read less
