I wasn’t going to leave a review but after speaking with the hotel who gave very little remorse or apologies, and seeing that it wasn’t a unique experience looking at the reviews from the past week or so, I feel it is only right when people will be spending a considerable about of money to stay here . Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly below expectations, particularly considering we paid over 6,000 AED for a two-night stay and had specifically chosen Rixos as a brand we had been eager to experience. The issues began even before arrival, as it proved extremely difficult to contact the hotel. I attempted to call multiple times over the course of three days without success and ultimately only received a response after contacting the hotel's Instagram page. This was not a reassuring start to what we expected to be a premium experience. Upon check-in, we were not informed that despite our hotel booking, access to the à la carte restaurants would require additional payment. Had this been made clear beforehand, we may have reconsidered whether the stay represented value for money, especially during a premium-priced national holiday period. Instead, this information only became apparent after arrival, leaving us feeling misled. I find it shocking that there isn’t a discount available to those who have already paid a premium to stay, you are treated like any regular person who has walked in off the street rather than a customer who has paid a lot of money already. The experience continued to disappoint when we found our room had a persistent damp smell throughout the two nights. We did not request a room change as we had already been informed at check-in that the hotel was operating at full capacity and that guests staying longer than us were being prioritised. Additionally, at check-in we were told we could check out at 12pm while continuing to use the hotel facilities until 6pm on our departure day. Based on this information, we planned our final day accordingly. However, when we attempted to use the lunch buffet, we were informed that this would require an additional charge (!!!!). This directly contradicted the impression given to us at check-in and left us feeling that we were unable to fully use the hotel facilities in the way suggested or in the way we believed we had paid for. While we understand that prices may increase during busy holiday periods, charging premium rates while simultaneously restricting access to facilities unless further payments are made feels unreasonable and misleading. More concerningly, the experience left us feeling as though shorter-stay guests were treated differently to those staying for longer periods. This was especially disappointing as we had genuinely been looking forward to trying a Rixos hotel for some time. Sadly, following this experience, it is unlikely that we would choose to return or recommend the brand to others. Read less

So you may find this a strange review on the basis I’ve never been to the hotel……”So Why” write a review, let me start I along with several family members were due to visit Rixos Saadiyat Island resort next month to celebrate my wife’s birthday, but due to the upset in the Middle East our flight was cancelled and our holiday postponed. “So Why” a review if I’ve never been, I can honestly say that every level of communication from booking direct with the hotel (Reservations agent Deepika) gets a 10/10 for being totally amazing in organising the accommodation. Arranging restaurants for that special birthday celebrations a huge thank you to Pradeep once again 10/10 for going the extra mile…. And finally to Ruwan who guided me through the process of either rescheduling or claiming a refund on our booking, totally professional and once again 10/10 The common denominator here, and whilst I have not had the need to contact him is the General Manager - Burcak Orak - a huge thank you to you and your team. One thing I can guarantee is we will be coming and joining you all for that family holiday once the situation improves…take care and stay safe Read less

We stayed at this resort from May 26 to May 28 in room 3338, and unfortunately, this became one of the worst vacation experiences we have ever had. First of all, the room was given to us in an unclean condition. It was only cleaned later that evening after we complained. On May 27, our 3.5-year-old son injured his foot while playing at the water park because one of the water play structures was broken and unprotected. Thankfully, the injury was not serious, but it could have been much worse. The medical team only came to apply ice. Later that same day, my beach slipper broke. When I asked the reception where I could buy a new pair, they offered to provide one and said it would arrive at our room within 10 minutes. Despite reminding them multiple times, it was delivered almost 12 hours later. On the check-out day, while we were spending time at the pool after checking out from the room, our sunbeds were given to other guests when we went to the reception to complete the check-out process. Overall, the entire stay was extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected from a resort in this price range. The management and reception teams were not solution-oriented at all. Instead of resolving issues professionally, they seemed more focused on excuses and dramatic apologies rather than taking real action. Unfortunately, this resort does not deserve the price it charges, and we would not consider returning. Read less

We are a family of seven — myself, my wife, four children, and a nanny — staying across a two-bedroom suite plus an additional connected room, making this a significant family reservation for one full week. Unfortunately, the overall experience and service level have been very disappointing. Requests take an unusually long time to be attended to, and finding space by the pool has become extremely difficult, sometimes taking over 30 minutes just to find available sunbeds. We were informed that due to the holiday season, the resort is heavily accepting outside day-pass guests, which appears to be affecting the comfort and priority of in-house residents. If guests arrive even slightly later in the morning, it becomes almost impossible to find seating or pool beds, as many spots are already occupied or reserved. At this stage, we are genuinely considering checking out early and moving to another hotel, despite having already paid for the stay, as the overall experience unfortunately does not reflect the expected level of comfort, service, or value. Binoy ensured his guest were well attended with ensuring our free upgrade to Deluxe room with pool access and ensuring our bookings were made with all three restaurant accessible. Also a must try would be Anjana Spa facility out of universe facility. Aja excelled in Asian Culinary with one of the best sushies and a wide choice of 5 course dinner where as Mermaid's stunnig blue and white themed restaurant reminded us of greek with pleasant staff and excellent sea food choice. Their italian themed Lolino restaurant had one of best margaritta pizzas and grilled salmons with a range of fine wine list to tingle your taste buds. Would recommend to any family who would prefer an all inclusive fun thrilled stay from beaches to wave pools to ease of the heat and relax under the sun. Read less
