Everything was just perfect. From the moment we arrived at reception with a bubbly engaged and professional young lady called Sophia till we left 10 days later with our valet called Virgil remembering our room number. Food, amenities, atmosphere were out of this world. We will definitely go back.

Trip adviser is all about helping people to find the right hotel for them and avoid the wrong ones for them. This Hotel is like “marmite” some people will love it and for others it will really not be the right place for them. I’ve given it a 4 rating as it’s a very good hotel in many ways, but it wasn’t the right hotel for us. The great things about the Rixos hotel - The staff are amazing, Very well trained and, experienced, friendly can’t do enough for you - The food is very good, good quality, good variety - The beach is lovely and child friendly - The external decor of the hotel is nice the Arabic styled external lobby is a very nice place to have a cocktail or morning coffee - Good gym - The pool is heated well enough. Why it’s not for us - The noise, it’s the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. From the blasting music round the pool in the morning to the DJ on the beach at sunset you can’t escape the noise. Even noise cancelling AirPods won’t block it out it’s so loud! We wanted a relaxing 3 days whilst travelling. It’s not a relaxing hotel, too busy too noisy. - The interior decor is dated and loud. On 11th Jan Christmas decorations are still up and Christmas music still being played around hotel!! I appreciate this was probably for the Russian Christmas earlier in January but for anyone who celebrated Christmas on 25th December it was very odd indeed - The atmosphere of the hotel is dominated by 90% occupancy by one nationality. In Europe there is often a limit to how many of one nationality can book one hotel at the same time to keep a mixed and international atmosphere. This doesn’t seem to be the case in the UAE at the moment. We prefer a more international and mixed atmosphere not one which is dominated by one nationality and focused on one nationality - This is really a family friendly AI resort aimed predominantly at one nationality who come to stay for a prolonged period ( maybe package holidays ?). It’s not a great choice for international couples coming for a few nights whilst travelling. - We paid £750 per night. It’s simply not worth it. With all of that said thank you to the staff who are all delightful and made our stay comfortable. Read less
