❌ Ruined Milestone Birthdays: Stranded, Left in the Dark, and Ghosted by Corporate

Our party of eight booked directly with Royalton Chic Antigua, spending over $10,000 to celebrate three major milestone birthdays (a 30th, 40th, and 50th). What should have been a cherished celebration was completely ruined by deceptive marketing, severe safety failures, and appalling customer service. 1. Deceptive Advertising & Broken Promises. The resort explicitly promised round-trip airport shuttle transfers on their website for booking direct. Once we arrived, they completely refused to honor the transfer, leaving eight paying guests stranded at the airport. We had to pay $300 out of pocket for our own transportation. For months, management has refused to refund this expense. 2. Severe Safety and Infrastructure Failures. During our stay, the resort completely lost power two nights in a row. We were left in pitch-black darkness with no air conditioning, no food, and no service. Crucially, there was zero security during these blackouts. Anyone could have walked straight off the public beach onto the dark property, creating a massive safety risk for our group. 3. Endless Corporate "Dirty Dancing"Since returning, we have been bounced back and forth for months in a loop of blame-shifting between the local property manager, the post-travel team, and the Diamond corporate office. Nobody will take accountability.It is disgusting that a massive name like Diamond Resorts is willing to destroy their reputation and alienate a group that spent $10,000 over a $300 transportation bill they explicitly promised. Do not risk your vacation or your safety here. Book at the Sandals property right next door instead. Read less

Just stay away

They dont stock the bars or restaurants with basic food and liquors. The main pool bar always didnt have basic stuff for drinks, such as pina colada mixer, Jack Daniel's or even any whiskey at times, coconut rum, beer, and vodka. No I'm not making this up!!! The steak house only had 2 steaks to chose from. At breakfast if you git to buffet when they opened up they didn't have all the food out yet. So you had to get there between 8 and 9. After 9 they ran out of certain food, like scrambled eggs! Are you kidding me! The staff was great but they managers would only shock them with a certain amount of food and liquors. I was told at the pool bar to the another bar for a certain drink. But then they would be out and had to go to another bar. They have to many bars open and not enough supplies or bartenders to the serve drinks. They have no bar backs to keep the bars supplied!!! At the food truck at the main pool the food was great as long as they had it. They had nachos but would have chips but no beep or cheese sometimes. or had burgers but no buns. Or had all the food but would run out of plates. This place either doesn't care or the management is new any doesn't care. Of course I talked to the other guest and were all of the same opinion. Other guest here us and were like thought the place was great. I asked if was there 1st all inclusive resort and they all said yes. So the good reviews are from guest who just know any better. They thought that it was supposed to be. We then would ask if you were at an all inclusive would you expect this. They all said " well no" So if you've never been to an all inclusive resort or any nice resort you'll like it. But to anyone who's been to other all inclusive resorts do NOT cone here!!! The food was ok. The buffets had actually the best food. Marriott should be ashamed to put this resort in their portfolio!!! Read less

An Amazing Holiday!

Having had my initial holiday plans scuppered, I decided to go to Antigua on my own. I found my decision somewhat daunting however, given that I am visually-impaired with some mobility issues. Well, I had nothing to worry about as, for one, the hotel was extremely accessible, with a lay out which was very easy to navigate. In addition, the staff were so, so helpful - nothing was too much for them to do! I was taken around the hotel on arrival, so I could familarise myself with the layout, and throughout my stay staff were always happy to help, if needed. I am particularly grateful to Jim and Michael who were always on hand, and regularly checked in to make sure I was okay. A special thanks to Vernon, a life guard who helped me into the sea most days, and looked after me while I was on the beach. A special thanks also to the restaurant manager who offered to inform the other restaurant managers of my visual-impairment, so I wouldn't have to keep asking for help with menus. This was a huge relief, and what's more, it worked! There was also Damien and Nikisha, both of whom had a great sense of humour, and who had me in fits of laughter whenever I bumped into them! First of all Jahleel, Daniel, Ashley, eliena have been AMAZING. Amazing service, help, professionalism, and so much more. We were so blessed to have them while we enjoyed our trip. We will be back. 10/10
