This was not our first Sandals vacation but, our first time to Sandals Dunns River. It was easily our favorite. It was not as much of a party atmosphere as it was a relaxing/more quiet type of resort. There was music, bars, and the usual pool activities for those that wanted it, but overall, more towards the easy going vibe that we like. For our room, we chose the Rondaval. It was absolutely beautiful. Our butlers (the Three Muskateers), Carlene, Vivian, and Romeo were top notch. Always available, always cheerful, and always accomodating. They set us up each and every day by the pool with a cooler filled with our favorite beverages. They also made sure to greet us each night at the various restaurants that we visited. We couldn't have been more pleased with them. Each room had their own private plunge pool and a swim out as well. Our rooms were made up during the day, with turn down service at night. The only trade off that we had to make is that the Rondavals are not on the beach but rather up a little hill so if you don't feel like walking much, this might not be your first choice. As for the pools, there is essentially three of them. One is the activities pool with the typical volleyball games, trivia etc..... The second one is more of a quiet pool, and the third (where we spent all of our time at) having no real activities, but a good size pool bar and music during the day. All in all, a great setup. We did utilize the spa and it is BEAUTIFUL! If you decide to get a massage, Jacquelyn and Sadeka are the absolute BEST. We'd come back just to see them! The staff, the locker rooms, and pool facilities in the spa are top notch as well. If you've made it as far as Sandals Dunns River, don't miss the spa. You will understand why when you go. And the restaurants are all very very good. It's hard to pick a favorite, but a few stand out for us. Zuka, specializing in Latin inspired cuisine is excellent. Mauricio, the head chef is amazing. He made it a point the two nights we were there to come out and say hello. He is such a dedicated hard working employee. Also, shout outs to RoVaughn, Latesha, and Junior at Zuka. They are so friendly and welcoming. Their service was as amazing as the food was. Also, a few people we need to mention from Edessa, their Mediterranean restaurant. Deandre, our wonderful server, and Jenelle, the incredible bartender at Edessa. They are great representatives of Sandals and their culture of tremendous service. Lastly, you need to try their Italian restaurant- Cascata. If you do go here, see Tawana or Johnelle. They are both top shelf. We could not have asked for better servers. Needless to say, we will be back. The property is beautiful, the service is A++, the beach is gorgeous, and the staff throughout the resort makes everyone feel so special and welcomed. Last night of stay here. Wild definitely come back again. Out room had a beautiful view, the landscaping is spectacular, and the food was delicious. The staff was excellent — shout out to Jada from the bar and Tiana from entertainment. Actually, it may have been Diana… but I’ve been drinking a lot tonight 😂
