Our stay at Sandals Dunn's River was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the moment we stepped off the bus and were welcomed with singing, we knew we were in for a special experience. The resort is beautiful, and the view from our room was breathtaking. A special thank you to Trudy Anne, who quickly helped relocate our room after learning how important the location was to me. Her attention to detail and willingness to help made a huge difference in our stay. The team did an incredible job celebrating my husband Anthony's birthday. Our room was decorated twice, and we were surprised with a bottle of champagne while dining at the French restaurant, where we also received exceptional service. One of our favorite experiences was spending evenings at the Rum Club. The DJs were phenomenal, mixing current hits with old-school favorites that kept everyone energized and dancing. The atmosphere was contagious, and we loved watching the bartenders enjoying the music while crafting drinks. A special shout-out to Gabrielle, who remembered me each time I visited and even took a photo with me on our final night. I also want to recognize Amanda from the entertainment team. After meeting her during the Family Feud game at the beach bar, she later escorted us to Miss T's, a local Jamaican restaurant. Through our conversations, she shared insights about life in Jamaica that gave us a much deeper appreciation for the culture. That experience was truly unforgettable. Another standout was Conrad ("Connie"), the entertainment lead. He was always welcoming, full of energy, and made a point of acknowledging guests throughout the resort. He helped create a fun and inclusive atmosphere everywhere he went. One of our favorite activities was the Silent Headphone Party. We had never experienced anything like it before and had an absolute blast. Finally, a huge thank you to our concierge hosts, Rachel and Shevell, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure our reservations were secured and every detail of our vacation was taken care of. Their professionalism and dedication made our stay seamless. Sandals Dunn's River exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere, the food, the pools, the rum bar, the entertainment and the staff working there, ALL TOP NOTCH!!! The STAFF is absolutely OUTSTANDING. The spa staff, the waiters/waitress and reception staff (thanks Randy for that reservation). The 4th of July Beach Party was phenomenal!! The food; lobster, shrimp, brisket, fresh catch, etc. The singers, fire dancers and Conrad(host) keeping the energy going ALL ON THE BEACH, then the fireworks!!!! A special shoutout to ALL THE BARTENDERS that keep the party vibe going (especially at the RUM CLUB). EVERYONE was respectful!! This was "grown folks" (as we say) having fun and not people (wild n out). My fiancé and I absolutely LOVE this place!! It's going to be extremely difficult for any other Sandals to beat Dunn's River. We are booked for Montego Bay next year, will give it a try because of all the upgrades and new layout that I'm hearing/reading about. MONTEGO BAY "step you game up"!!!! We stopped for two weeks over June / July and had a fabulous time meeting some lovely people on site , Flew with Virgin from LHR and used junior fun tours for our private transfer with cold Red stripe on board ( thanks ) On arrival we were met by Shaquaine as he belted out the welcome to sandals song , This young man is a total credit to the sandals brand , Every time he walked past our beds he would always stop and ask how we were doing and even on our last day he came to talk to us and he had the most wonderful smile ( photo attached) Our Butlers - Shawn and Tenniel were amazing and worked so well as a team , We miss these guys so much . We spent many an evening chatting with Kenroy the Restaurant manager and he even caught up with us just as we were leaving to come home , He was a lovely gentleman. Akeem from entertainment is the best ever , That man really rang our bell 😂😂😂 hope he reads this , Barman Demario was just a fabulous person and we always enjoyed watching and chatting with him as well as Deandre S ( top man ) . Kimberley H and Khimmell from entertainment always came to see us everyday they were working ( two lovely young ladies ) . The Issue - We wanted to book another two future sandals holidays on site but when we went into the loyalty shop we were informed the UK system was down and they needed a password reset ( the US site was working) four consecutive days I went in twice a day only to be told the same thing ! Not once during them days did anyone have a contingency plan , Even just to say “ we’ve escalated the issue to the management team “ Eventually after four days the plan was to go to sandals ochi and book there as the UK system was working on there site , So four of us and the loyalty manager travelled up to Ochi and not once did the manager say one word to us ( obviously not happy with the inconvenience) . To sum up this resort I would say it’s brilliant with fantastic staff but do something with the loyalty staff because they could be losing you revenue. Read less
