Absolutely beautiful 55th birthday celebration for my wife Veronica. Aqua department: Rudolph, Oneil, Romario did an excellent job with my first experience with snuba diving. They also were very attentive and professional with the tubing experience. We had a wonderful experience with ALL of the Aqua staff and the entire Sandals Dunn's River resort staff. The entertainment department featuring Akeem, Tianna, Omanda, Jhoniel, Jordan and Conrad provided outstanding and amazing daily entertainment. OMG they were OUTSTANDING hosts. I met Akeem in the elevator one day, and he escorted me to the breakfast line and actually carried meal to the table as I am physically challenged. He greeted me daily with a tremendous happy "hello Wil". The entire staff are so amazingly friendly and welcoming. They provided great entertainment opportunities for the Sandals guests from the Karaoke singing to the nightly shows. Everything was truly stunning! The highlight was on July 19th, the primary singer serenaded my wife for her 55th birthday. It was a beautiful site! Our housekeeper Sophia was a godsend, as I accidently dropped my wallet and passport outside of my room. Sophia informed our butler Vivian and I went to the room and personally thanked her for it. Honesty is always the best policy and Sophia is truly epitome of this. Thank you all for hiring Sophia!! We had the pleasure of eating in most of the onsite restaurants, but our absolute favorite was Lamande, featuring Kenroy, Jermaine, Kadian, who all did an outstanding job hosting and celebrating my wife's 55th birthday. Kadian did a beautiful job decorating the table and provided delicious treats. The hospitality was truly amazing. Our professional and courteous butlers Vivian and Romeo were truly kind, caring and thoughtful. They were top of the notch employees and catered to our every need and want. If there was an issue, Vivian and Romeo immediately handled the situation. Outstanding job provided by both of them. Our private drivers, Robert and Greg were also provided safe and courteous transportation in a new, clean BMW with delectable treats and cold water available. As a physically challenged person, I found the resort very accessible for walking with crutches and riding on a mobility scooter. Negatives: Oshane did not clearly explain the extra charge for the Bob Marley tour, which cost me an unexpected $200. In the future, please explain ALL information related to the excursions prior to The bed is too firm, however, we asked our butler for a softer mattress or a soft mattress pad and the next morning our bed was nice and soft. The bathroom towels are very hard and scratchy. The urinals are too tall and not accommodating for short individuals. Doors are very heavy and should be automated for accessibility. Please provide more leafy green vegetables on the buffet and the restaurants. Overall OUTSTANDING stay at Sandals Dunn's River! Read less

We were back at Sandals Royal Plantation and had to go to Banyu at Sandals Dunn’s River twice. We’ve known King, the restaurant manager, and Chef Vikram for a while now, and seeing them again is always a highlight of our vacation. King and Vikram are what makes Banyu special. The first night we arrived before the restaurant opened and even though we requested it, by the time we returned "our table" was given away. Nevertheless, it was still a great dinner made by Chef Vikram. All was right in the world for our 2nd dinner! King was there and was expecting us! He had our favourite table waiting for us, because he just knows. We sit at the same table every single time. Upon request, Chef Vikram made us his curry mutton again. Rich, tender, full of flavor, with some heat that doesn't linger. Exactly the kind of meal that keeps us coming back! He always puts such care into what he does, and it shows every single time. King and Vikram are always encouraging us to stay at Sandals Dunn’s River, and honestly, experiences like these make it harder and harder to resist. Christy took great care of us during dinner. She’s attentive and genuinely invested in making sure everything goes smoothly. She's still shy but we've seen her grow since she's starting working at Banyu. Banyu continues to be one of our "go to" restaurants whenever we’re staying at SRP. Between the incredible food, the familiar faces, and the level of hospitality we receive every time, it’s always a place we look forward to returning to. Other gems at Sandals Dunns River - The oxtail sliders at the Rum Bar are a must! A hiccup with takeout on our first visit this trip was quickly resolved. Sweets at Bluum are also a must.
