He made us feel so welcomed and genuinely cared for, and his customer service was absolutely superb. He took the time to make sure our 25th wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday were truly memorable, and his attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Jose is a true asset to Sandals! We also want to recognize Rashane, who took amazing care of us during our candlelight dinner (and my apologies if I misspelled your name!), and Shanakay, who made our couples massage such a wonderful experience. You were both phenomenal! Honestly, everyone we encountered at Sandals Dunn’s River was incredible. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE! We just returned from our 7 night stay to celebrate our 5th anniversary we had a FABULOUS time. Although the resort is one of the smaller Sandals has to offer, the upscale amenities and overall modern feel of the resort made up for this (although, not very important to us as it is to some). We were impressed with the level of cleanliness throughout the resort and would like to specifically mention the housekeeping staff in the Mammee Bay building as our room was continuously refreshed/turned down and we didnt need to make a single request! Our room was located on the Garden View side of Mammee Bay, although there was some noise from the RIU resort this didn't bother us it was not during sleeping hours and were often not in the room throughout the day as we were out enjoying the resort. The location of the resort is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the Montego Bay airport. We decided to do a private transfer to ensure our arrival was not delayed so we could enjoy as much as possible and I am so glad that we did as we ran into SO MUCH TRAFFIC on the way in which made our road trip in a total of 2 and a half hours. However, this would not deter us from returning as the overall location itself is very beautiful. The beach was a shorter beach but noted a few things... The beach by the main portion of the resort can be a bit rocky getting in which may be challenging for people with mobility needs. However, this did not deter us or many others. The water was a beautiful light blue and clarity varied throughout our stay as there was some weather disturbances going on north of the island. However, people should not "sleep on" the butler beach (near the jerk shack)! Although quiet, this portion of the beach was MUCH easier to get into with no steep sand shelf or rocks. Additionally, it was PICTURE PERFECT. The "butler beach" almost made you feel as if you were on a private island. Our trip was so fabulous the only complaint I could possibly think of is that I do wish the food had a bit more flavor/seasoning (I understand they are making food for the masses) as I constantly felt the need to salt my food. Otherwise, food was top tier and truly had 5 star presentation. Never had a meal I truly did not enjoy. Special shout out to Hanami as "sushi night" is our favorite night at a Sandals resort! Below I have listed some exceptional staff that we were fortunate enough to meet during our stay.... Entertainment team: Johneil aka Big sexy aka Baby Jojo - MY FABULOUS FRIEND. Thank you for making sure we had a GREAT time. You treated my husband and I like we were family and this is truly what we LOVE about the Sandals Brand.
