We spent 7 nights at Dunn’s River and had an amazing time. Everything was perfect. Service was quick, Food was outstanding and the resort is breathtaking. All of the staff was friendly but one person made a huge impression on both myself and my husband. Jada from the bar came over to speak with us during a show and was so personable and humorous. When she was there, we made a point to go get our drinks from her just to have the opportunity to say hi and watch her shine. We booked another stay for next year before checking out! A Trip to Remember and A Suprise “I Do Again”

We visited Sandals Dunn’s River in mid-April. My husband and I booked this trip during our last stay at this resort in 2024 and decided to also book a surprise trip for his parents as this place is so memorable and we wanted them to also experience it. Sandals Dunn’s River did not disappoint. We usually stay in the Rondovals, but this time we took the advice of our butlers and stayed in the Mammee Bay Oceanview One Bedroom Butler Suite to make mobility easier on our parents. The accommodations were great and the location was perfect and so close to everything just what we wanted for them. We made sure to request our amazing butler team of Shaw and Martin and our request was granted with an extra special surprise. They also had another butler by the name of Nick that was helping them out the week we were there and he was equally amazing. These guys truly know how to make your vacation seamless and never making you feel like any request is too hard. It made us smile watching our parents sitting out on their balcony taking in the beautiful sunrises and listening to the entertainment, and just taking in all of Jamaica’s beauty. Our parents were so impressed with how they would show up with special drinks and delivering lunch to us on the beach. We had warned our parents before we went that they wouldn’t have to lift a finger for anything. They reserved us some of the best spots on the beach. We enjoy eating authentic Jamaican food while we are in Jamaica and we had mentioned to them that we wanted to try some curry goat and escovitch fish, and bread pudding from the coffee shop before we left and they made it happen and it was so delicious. They even remembered our preferences from the last time that we stayed there which blew our minds. During this trip we also surprised our parents with a vow renewal and it was so beautiful and emotional. We were able to have it on the exact day of their 48th wedding anniversary. They never truly had a wedding or honeymoon before so we decided a few months after we booked the trip that we would make that happen for them. We had to come up with some clever ideas to keep the surprise from them while getting them to pack some vow renewal appropriate attire. Javel and her wedding team came through with such a beautiful ceremony and experience. I wasn’t able to remember everyone’s name so please forgive me but I do remember Rhenae (she even came to see us in the lobby the morning we left) and Fitzroy to name a few. Christopher was the photographer for the ceremony and reception and the photos that he took are stunning and they even put together a video that brings tears to our eyes every time we watch it. He did his thing!!!No detail was left out. The minister brought exactly the warmth and presence we hoped for. Our butler Nick even showed up to support us and that meant the world to us that he was there. We cannot thank Javel and her team for all that they did to make that experience so memorable for them and us. I cannot say enough about the entire staff at this resort. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Our parents keep talking about how friendly everyone they encountered was. We were on the beach one day and Jhoniel stopped by and serenaded them. He can sing!!!!! We got a chance to see one of our very first butlers Shanice and she showed us much love. We were even remembered and greeted by one of the butlers Stanford whom has never been our butler before but he remembered us from staying in the Rondovals and that really touched us that he remembered us. This resort is beautiful but honestly it’s the staff that truly make it what it is…from the employees that greet you when you arrive and depart, the Sandals lounge, the wait staff, the groundskeepers, housekeeping, etc. everyone makes you feel like they are glad to have you there. They made us feel like we were celebrities. We told our butlers that they make it hard to visit other Sandals properties because of how good they are to us and it’s the truth so much so our parents are ready to return and they said the next time we go back to Dunn’s River they want to stay even longer and have the same butler team again. You must hang at the Rum Club

Can’t get enough of sandals in Jamaica. Been to two of their properties. If you go to Dunns river you need to hang out at the rum club. Ackeem is an outstanding bartender and just a great guy to hang out with. We tried getting a reservation at the restaurant next door but they got crazy busy. Between ackeem and Maranique they were so concerned maranique took our order and we ate at the bar. The whole rum club staff were fantastic (feel bad I didn’t get everyone’s names). During our many conversations they found out it was my wife’s birthday and made a cake for her. GREAT TIME Read less

Great Diving! Poor hotel stay.

Wonderful scuba Diving experience. Lincoln our dive instructor and Javai our Dive Master were both professional, and fun. Special shoutout to Kenny Rogers on our Boat very good! Now, the food at L’Amand French with Jermaine as the host was fantastic, 3x here. But the best food was at Hanami Sushi (5 nights) where Eugene the host has some of the finest sushi chefs ever special shout out to Darwin!!! But that’s where my 5 star ends and my 1 star begins. Our hotel room was simply unacceptable! We asked twice to have our AC worked on our room was constantly 70+ degrees. Way, way too hot for us, and our house keeper kept opening our door and window blinds making it hotter even After we tied the blinds closed! The afternoon heat just poured into our room. Also, in the poor category was the drinks. We enjoyed less than 30% of our drinks. We consistently found ourselves drinking frozen drinks that were premade. The lack of quality ingredients lemons, limes, pineapple was sad. The best drink was at the Rum Club bar by Denzil, he was solid. We’re going back to another Sandals in a different country, in hopes of a better stay, because we really enjoyed the diving experience. Our fingers are crossed for a better hotel room experience.
