We just finished an amazing trip to Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica. This was our third trip to Jamaica and quickly became our favorite resort on the island. We were greeted with a warm welcome and every day started with countless smiling faces from the incredible staff. The resort location is picture-perfect, the layout is thoughtfully designed for convenience and walkability, the decor brings unique ambiance and a breath of fresh air to every space. The landscape is flawless, with fantastic ongoing maintenance by the landscape team. And all hallways, walkways, rooms and community spaces are squeaky-clean (big shoutout to the awesome housekeeping staff!). The resort-feel is relaxed, social, and luxurious. Compared to other Sandals resorts, we found that the service provided was top-notch and notably superior compared to other Sandals resorts. (We have visited 11 Sandals resorts). The food quality is consistently a 9/10 and beyond, which is very important to us. Bartenders are attentive and friendly, they pay attention and ensure that guests are not waiting for a drink too long. Everyone genuinely seems to enjoy their role, and works as a community to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. We enjoyed an oceanfront Butler Suite which offered a gorgeous view and elite level service from our two butlers. The space and added service from the exceptional butlers are worthy of an upgrade. Thank you Kim & Rock-Wayne - you two were truly amazing. Lastly, we found the entertainment team at Dunn’s River to be extraordinary involved in creating community among guests at the resort. They also go above and beyond to develop personal relationships with guests, in a way that does not feel canned / corny. They are upbeat, energetic, fun and genuinely great people to share time with. We were blessed to meet Akeem early in our trip and we shared several meals and countless laughs together. He and Jhoniel (“big sexy”) have a natural way of engaging with guests and creating unforgettable memories. We had the opportunity to play volleyball with both of them - which was always such a good time. We also met with them at the Beach Party on Friday, which was the BEST party Sandals has ever had! Below is a list of the key people who made our trip memorable, and contribute to our immediate desire to revisit Dunn’s River. We booked two trips to revisit the resort within the next year. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! On the way to the airport in Montego Bay, we booked Dunn’s River for this New Years!! Can’t wait to see everyone again soon! Sandals Dunn’s River is a great value for our vacation budget and we will return. The resort is big and beautiful while the staff so friendly and helpful. Some notable employees which we had positive experiences with were Randy and Zena at check in, Kenroy is the best representative. He makes you feel special and remembers you when he sees you in a restaurant. Our favorite restaurant was Hana’s. We ate there three times. Eugene is a wonderful host and Sherifa was so friendly. We also had a positive experience with Roxanne as our server. The sushi chefs, John and Jim encouraged us to try new things, and Richard prepared delicious entrees. We went diving every day. Big thanks to your amazing dive crew especially our dive guides O’Shane and O’Shay. Others which we had amazing service from were Shannice at Rum Bar, Denzil at the Karaoke bar and Nishala the photographer. These are just a few though everyone deserves a positive review. Read less

Rebecca brought so much energy and warmth to the resort. The music trivia and language class were absolute highlights of our daytime activities, and karaoke night was a blast from start to finish. She made sure everyone was involved and having a great time. Chef Gregory at the Jerk Shack is a master at what he does. The food was so good that I literally ate there every single day. He went above and beyond by taking special requests, serving up mouthwatering authentic dishes like red pea soup, pig tails, and oxtails. That level of personal care and exceptional flavor made the dining experience unforgettable. A huge shoutout to Tasheca, who crafted some of the best drinks of the entire trip. She was able to make every single drink we asked for with ease. Beyond her bartending skills, she was incredibly engaging, fun to chat with, and brought the best vibes to the bar. ​The hospitality and personal attention from Rebecca, Chef Gregory, and Tasheca truly set this vacation apart. Gregory at The jerk kitchen was outstanding. He made red pea soup and ox tails at our request. The pristine beach with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. That island breeze and the turquoise waters were breathtaking. We had a lovely sailing trip with Denardo as our captain. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the activities - name that tune and 80’s/90’s trivia. At night the karaoke lounge and the rum club live dj were lively. Rebecca kept the energy high. We were at the resort for a destination wedding. Toni was a first class wedding coordinator and MC. Cassius was our master bartender for the beachside reception. We climbed Dunns River Falls. Our experience at Dunns River was great! The entertainment was fabulous and the staff were always there to help! A big shout out to Tiana, Jordan Michael and all the staff. Check in and out was very easy and the room and atmosphere was very clean and welcoming.
