We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Sandals Dunn’s River. The resort itself is beautiful, the food and drinks were excellent, and there was always something to do, but what really made our trip memorable was the amazing staff. A huge thank-you to our butlers, Gareth and Kobie. They took incredible care of us throughout our stay and always seemed to be one step ahead of anything we might need. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made us feel completely spoiled. Having them as our butlers truly added something special to the entire vacation. We also want to recognize DiMario, one of the bartenders. He was fantastic! Great personality, great service, and he always made stopping by for a drink fun. He is exactly the kind of person who makes you feel welcome and makes you want to come back. Another shout-out goes to Tahj with Watersports. He was extremely helpful and friendly and made our time on the beach even more enjoyable. His attitude and enthusiasm really stood out. We had some great conversations and shared plenty of awesome laughs along the way. And finally, a very special shout-out to Kenroy, who helped make the final night of our trip something we will always remember. It was the perfect way to finish an already amazing vacation. The extra care and attention he gave to making our dinner special meant so much to us. Just back from an excellent holiday in Sandals Dunns River we were there for 2 weeks but due to the issues with the Air Traffic Control we had an additional week, So I would like to thank Kevin the General Manager and Ashley of Club Sandals for there support also Randy & Jizel at reception. We had 2 different rooms when there and they were kept very clean by Nicole, Nordia & Jodie Ann. When it came to Water Sports we were well looked after by Carrington & Kevon, by the way Carrington was an excellent singer serenaded my wife for her birthday while on the Hobby Cat. All restaurants were very good with Salvatore looking after everyone in the Italian. Greek restaurant for breakfast don't know if there was any politer staff than Amelia & Morrisa. Best barman was Hemsu but also all the staff in the Rum Club were excellent. I enjoy a coffee and a special thanks to Shackeia, Jhpan, Samantha, Kimmelia, Kadia & Shantell all were very polite and helpful and made my visits to the Blum Coffee Shop very enjoyable. When it comes to some of the management a big thank you to Jaqueline, but there is only one person who enthuses what Sandals is all about and that is Kenroy McCook an absolute gentleman, nothing is a problem and goes out his way to assist guests and has always time for a chat made our holiday very special, My wife says he gives the best Bear hugs in the resort. We visited Dunn’s this month for the second time. We were supposed to go to Sandals South Coast but as it’s closed due to last year’s hurricane Sandals moved us to Dunn’s. Whilst it was a shame we didn’t get to experience SSC, we’d been to Dunn’s before and it’s a stunning resort so we were excited to visit again. TLDR; it’s exceptional you should go. Room: This visit exceeded all of our expectations. We were in a TSKY room and it’s beautiful. Room 3407 has a fantastic view, it’s large, well appointed and modern. If you’re in that category it’s a great room to request. Food: Sandals have really been upping their game on food with the push to Sandals 2.0 and Dunn’s doesn’t disappoint. All the food is excellent and we’d happily pay for every meal we had if we were out for food at home. The best on resort are Hanami (sushi), Zuka (Latin) and the absolute best is Banyu (Asian). An additional note. Blum coffee shop serves exceptional coffee and the pastries & cakes are incredible. Service: Service throughout the resort is excellent, all staff members are attentive, friendly and engaging. There are a few to shout out though: John & JM the chefs at Hanami, sit at the bar and watch them do their work, they’re great. They’ll do you off menu special requests too and make recommendations. Hanami’s menu has changed and my favourite roll the ‘dragon eel’ is no longer on menu but they didn’t hesitate to make it for me. Ronaldo, also at Hanami, he’s good fun and also couldn’t do enough for you. More drinks, more sushi, etc. he was constantly checking in. Aljay & Andre at the swim-up bar. These two are great. Their drinks are top notch and they remember your favourites. Especially important for me is that they don’t garnish the drinks with pineapple as I’m allergic. Both of them only needed to be told once and kept all my drinks clear of it. Also made great recommendations of drinks that are great and don’t contain pineapple for me - all the best drinks have pineapple! Christina, Tevin and Kimberley at Banyu, we dined here a lot as it was our favourite. The whole team there are on point, take time to get to know you and see if there are things they can do to elevate your experience. Speaking of Banyu, King who runs the show there is an absolute standout staff member. He remembered us from our previous visit and when we popped in from Ochi. Made sure we were taken care of, checked in on us and even brought us a dish off menu as a surprise when we were having our meal. It was delicious too. Can’t wait to see him again when we come back! Facilities and activities; The pools are great, right in front of the beach so a lovely view, one has a louder more party vibe and the other is quieter, both have hot tubs and poolside service - although a bit less on the swim-up bar pool understandably. Beach, while not the biggest is big enough, lovely sand and the water is crystal clear, there’s an area that’s a little rocky but nothing significant. Watersports, both non-motorised and motorised are included. The tubing out on big Mabel is so fun! But you can also do waterskiing, wakeboarding & kneeboarding, Butlers: The TSKY room is a butler room and we had a team of Dexter and Ricardo. We’ve stayed in butler rooms elsewhere and are very familiar with the service. But these two are top tier. Ensured we had everything we needed in our cooler, brought us surprise drinks, joked with us, took time to get to know us, handled any special request we may have had. They’re the absolute dream team. And the snack game at Dunn’s that the butlers bring for you is next level! If you’re looking for one of the best all inclusive experiences then you absolutely can’t go wrong with Sandals Dunn’s River! We can’t wait for our third visit. Read less
