515 rooms and suites. The Great House and Butler Villas are located on the hillside of St. Ann Mountains, perfect for a more private romantic setting. Guests can use the complimentary shuttle service to the Riviera Seaside and Ochi Beach Club which is located across the road and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and facilities.

All rooms include air-conditioning, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi access, telephone, iPod dock with alarm clock, private bath/shower, amenity kit, coffee maker, mini-bar stocked with bottled water, juice, soda and local beer, safe, iron and board, hairdryer and 1 king-size bed. We recently stayed at Sandals Ochi and overall had a wonderful vacation, with a few standout positives and a couple of important drawbacks worth noting. First, the service was excellent in many areas. Our butlers, Sheldon and Demetra, were great—attentive, responsive, and consistently helpful with every request we made. Nicole also did an exceptional job coordinating our special events, including a private cocktail hour and a beach dinner on separate nights. Both events were beautifully executed, with top-tier staff and a genuinely friendly atmosphere that made them memorable highlights of our stay. Across the resort, most on-site staff were warm, welcoming, and consistently pleasant, which we greatly appreciated. However, there were some issues that impacted the overall experience. We stayed in a Riviera Honeymoon Suite, and unfortunately the room felt quite dated. The air conditioning in the living room area did not cool properly, which made parts of the stay uncomfortable. It was very noticeable how different this was compared to the renovated hillside rooms, which felt significantly more modern and refreshed. We chose the Riviera Honeymoon Beachfront One Bedroom Butler Suite for the view and convenience to restaurants, but that building and rooms are clearly in need of a refresh compared to other areas of the resort. Another disappointing experience occurred at Valentino’s restaurant. A gentleman who appeared to be a manager was rude from the moment we arrived. He seemed reluctant to seat us and remained off-putting throughout the meal. The experience worsened at the end when we requested coffee and dessert (which had already been communicated to our waiter earlier as well), and we were told the kitchen had closed and we would not be receiving either. The handling of this situation felt dismissive and inconsistent with the service level we experienced elsewhere on the property. One additional note for future guests: while the resort photos make it seem like the hillside and beachfront areas are simply separated by landscaping, they are actually quite spread out and require transportation via the on-site shuttle (“the hop”). The area between the two sections is commercial and less cohesive than the marketing suggests. Despite the issues mentioned above, we did still have a very enjoyable stay overall and would consider returning to Sandals in the future—just likely a different location. The combination of excellent butler service, well-executed special events, and generally friendly staff made a strong positive impression, the room condition and restaurant experience noted above were the only real cons we experienced. Another fantastic vacation at Sandals Ocho Rios! From our housekeeper to the manager everyone was friendly, helpful and worked hard to ensure a very enjoyable time. The concierges were all very helpful making sure all of our needs were taken care of, especially Sherica (she was great.) Our room was wonderful! The food was very good at all of the restaurants, Milton at Kelly’s made our time there special. We especially enjoy the golf course. All of the staff there make our time the most enjoyable part of our stay in Jamaica. The bar staff, including Nichelle, Casandra and Bravada are friendly and very helpful. The staff in the pro shop and office make sure we are treated so very well. It is a pleasure to be there thanks to Dave, Gabriella, Arturo, Rocheen, Bill, Matthew, Nicole and Tanisha. The course is in great shape, thank to the greens crew especially Dwayne (Billey) and John. The drivers to the golf course take great care to get us there safely, thank you Melbourne and Gary. We just returned from a Jamazing milestone birthday trip to our happy place! When I was deciding where to celebrate my 50th birthday, we had considered Wine Country. However, after having to change our plans last November because of the hurricane, I realized there was no place I'd rather celebrate this milestone than Jamaica. I quickly decided to book the resort that means the most to us, the place where I also became a Mrs. The moment we arrived back "home," I knew we'd made the right decision. This was our first time flying into Ian Fleming International Airport, which is located in Ochos Rios, just 15 minutes from the resort. Since we arrived early, the butler concierge let us know our room wasn't quite ready and suggested we grab a bite to eat or relax on the patio. Instead, I asked her to point me to the ladies' room, quickly changed into the swimsuit I'd packed in my carry-on for exactly this reason, and headed straight to the main pool on hillside. As soon as we reached the bottom of the main staircase, the first person I saw was Miguel, one half of the incredible pool cabana butler team. He greeted me with a huge hug and let me know that our favorite cabana was already waiting for us! Miguel and Richardo are two of the biggest reasons we continue to return to Ochi. We met them on our last trip, and they quickly became like family. In fact, as soon as we booked this vacation, I messaged Miguel to let him know we'd be back at the end of June. This trip was no different. Miguel and Richardo take exceptional care of every guest, and I highly recommend reserving a pool cabana at the Hillside Main Pool so you can experience their outstanding service for yourself. After a wonderful afternoon at the pool, they contacted our butler, Moria, who met us and escorted us to our room. Every special request I had included on our butler preference form had already been stocked in our room. I truly appreciated that everything was ready upon arrival and that such attention was paid to every detail. That evening, Moria let us know she was working solo that day but that Roberto would be on duty the following morning. Moria and Roberto turned out to be two of the best butlers we've ever had at Sandals. My birthday was filled with thoughtful surprises. We loved the Rabbit Hole and ended every evening there after dinner. Special shoutout to Lady K!! The amazing team at Ochi are the number one reason we look forward to returning over and over again!! We had an amazing experience here at Sandals Ochi! We are in the butler suites and love the service and attention we’ve received. Patrice and Romario L on the entertainment team have been wonderful and kept us smiling the whole time! The drinks and food have been incredible and we can’t wait to come back 🩵
