515 rooms and suites. The Great House and Butler Villas are located on the hillside of St. Ann Mountains, perfect for a more private romantic setting. Guests can use the complimentary shuttle service to the Riviera Seaside and Ochi Beach Club which is located across the road and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and facilities.

Our first trip to a Sandals resort was a very positive experience. We were picked up from (and dropped back to) Kingston Airport (some 90 mins away). The promise of no children on resort was quite appealing. Our room was on the beach side (as opposed to the 'Hillside' across the road). There is a mini bus (the Hop) every 10 minutes that takes you quickly between the resort sites. I believe the rooms on the Beach side are less luxurious although our room was quite large, had all amenities including a restocked drinks fridge and a large balcony. It was a great room albeit some of the fittings were a little tired. The service was generally efficient and the staff very friendly in the main. It did take a couple of days to get a minor issue looked at, but we got it sorted in the end. The A/C was fab in the rooms, and the WIFI excellent throughout the resort. There is a range of restaurants covering most tastes from Jerk Chicken and Pizza fast food outlets, to French, Italian, Jamaican and Oriental sit down cuisine. Most of the food quality was excellent although a couple of the food sites were average. The drinks service with the meals was always excellent. There are several pools (with swim up bars) and hot whirl pool tubs on the Beach side, with a man made lagoon by the beach. The bars serve branded drinks and a range of cocktails and the bar service is pretty good, although you may have to wait a few minutes at the popular bars at peak times. There was entertainment most evenings which was varied and well... entertaining! There's also popular later evening piano bars, and a speak easy night club. There is a range of sports, including water sports and snorkelling, and a team is on hand to arrange excursions. We did the Dunns River boat trip, which was fab! The resort is very popular with Americans who were in the majority during our trip. It wasn't the cheapest resort but Sandals did go all out to make the stay a luxurious unforgettable experience. Overall we had a great time and would certainly stay at a Sandals Resort again. Read less

This is the second Sandals resort that I have been to. The location is amazing, and the resort is beautiful. I booked a Club Level room for 7 nights to receive a complimentary wedding, and it was so worth it! The resort operates like a well-oiled machine. The staff are awesome. Whatever you need is taken care of, and you’re able to just be. Entertainment: The live entertainment was great. Everyone who performed is so talented, from the saxophonist to the fire dancers. I want to specifically acknowledge how incredible Melissa and Amelia’s voices are. I was able to speak with them after they performed to tell them how amazing they are. I was blown away. They both should be touring around the world for everyone to hear. They are multimillion-dollar singers. Sandals better watch out before someone gives them a deal to travel the world making the money they deserve! Property: The resort itself is beautiful; however, the layout is interesting. I was unaware that the resort is so large that you have to take a shuttle to the other side. You take the shuttle right across the street, and it takes maybe 3 minutes, so it isn’t as much of an inconvenience as it sounds. To be honest, once I got back home, I wished I could take The Hop (the shuttle) again. Food: Do not expect to get authentic Jamaican food here. The food seemed to be Americanized. This was unfortunate because I didn’t really want to go off the resort to find good Jamaican food. Restaurants I enjoyed during my stay include Kelly’s Dockside, Kimonos, Southern Table, Vista (for breakfast), and Sweet Wood. You need a reservation for Kelly’s and Kimonos, and you do not want to miss out on those places. In my opinion, they serve the best food at the resort. I tried the vanilla ice cream next to Sweet Wood, and it was the best ice cream I have ever had. I wish I could order it and have it delivered to me! On the contrary, because we had a wedding party of 10, we often ate dinner together. I would advise against this for anyone with a large party, or ask for your food to be brought out as it is completed rather than all at the same time. At each restaurant our group went to, we had to wait over an hour and a half to get our meal. By the time we received our meals, they were cold. For example, I ordered the fried ravioli at The Sky Terrace, and by the time it got to me, it was so hard that I couldn’t cut into it. So, we decided to sit separately, unfortunately, to receive our food at the proper temperature. Wedding: I can’t say enough great things about having my wedding at Sandals Ochi! We chose the Reef Terrace as our location, and it was perfect. Our wedding was at 10 a.m. to avoid the heat. Our wedding planner, Chantal, was so sweet and professional. She is so great at her job! I want to thank everyone who took part in our wedding. All of the staff involved truly made the experience incredible. The cake was delicious! We chose a vanilla cake with strawberry icing, and I carried that cake through the airport and brought it all the way home because it was that good. Thank you to the person who made it! Thank you to the photographer; the photos were excellent. Thank you to the people who set the table during our cocktail hour. Thank you to the man who took our cake and gifts to our room. Thank you again, Chantal. I don’t know how much work went into making our wedding experience incredible, but you did it well! Room: I did the room last because it was my least favorite part of our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The furniture was updated, and our refrigerator was fully stocked and restocked daily. However, the bathroom needed to be renovated. I brought Epsom salt with me to have a nice soak in the tub, but the tub did not look clean enough to sit in. I don’t believe that was a housekeeping issue. I believe it is due to the age of the tub. We also did not have hot water on the first night. We got back to our room late and had to take cold showers. I spoke to Chantal about it when she asked how everything was going, and I also told the Club concierge. It was resolved promptly, and they called to make sure everything was fixed. So, that was nice. The last thing I will say about the room is that sleeping in is not an option. I’m not sure if it was the groundskeepers or the maintenance staff, but someone using loud equipment would start early in the morning. Once it sounded like a leaf blower, and another time it sounded like a drill. In spite of this, my overall experience was incredible. My only regret is not using a referral link for all of the first-time Sandals guests we referred through our wedding. If there is any way to get those points, please let me know.
