The hotel

Little VIP touches make a stay at the boutique Sea Breeze Beach House feel all the more special. As you sink into a sun lounger, the pool and beach attendants serve cold drinks, mist you with a refreshing spritzer, and offer delicious sorbet tasters. Its 3-acre gardens and 1,000 ft stretch of silky white sands create a sense of space, while Bajan accents like palm trees, beachside dining, and rum-infused treats create a sense of island living. Families and couples can enjoy their own zones, with a space just for grownups featuring a pool, Jacuzzis and oversized loungers — a brilliant break from the buzz around the family and lap pools. Even the beach caters for all, with a lively water sports stretch and a more peaceful patch. The luxury suites are wonderfully spacious, have beautiful ocean views and extra amenities, and with two, three and four bedroom options available, you can have an All-Inclusive experience with a 'villa' feel. Whether à la carte or one of the themed buffet evenings you'll love the food, and we recommend that you don't miss the opportunity to get the sand between your toes at the 'Shoes Optional' Beach BBQ held on Sundays.

We recently had our first visit to Sea Breeze Beach House. This was our first holiday to Barbados and we were not sure what to expect as reviews varied from fabulous to avoid at all costs. I have to say I was relieved to find everything was fabulous. The location right by the beautiful beach, the various dining options, lots of friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, cleanliness of the hotel, low key entertainment, all combined to make this a relaxing dream holiday. Check in was smooth, as we had done it prior to departure online. Our room was very comfortable, we had a luxury oceanfront junior suite in the mahogany building (the only building with a lift). It was kept well maintained by our housekeeper Kayla. Unlike some reviews I’ve read we never had towel issues or the room being cleaned late in the day. We had one day where the water wasn’t warm when we had our shower, but that’s nothing major. Our air conditioning was very good, fridge kept stocked, and everything in the room in good order. Some reviews mentioned mould, door handles to bathroom, locks etc being faulty but ours were all in working order. Thank you Kayla for our towel art you left us on our anniversary, it made me smile. Thanks also to Fabian for sending up a cheeseboard and a card on the day, greatly appreciated. Entertainment was just enough not to intrude into your holiday, something going on but not disturbing anyone wanting peace and quiet. Most nights there was some kind of music, some better than others. The two ladies that sang in the mahogany bar were the best (don’t know what they were called). We also had fun at the silent disco, and enjoyed the fire show although parts of this was hard to see as different aspects were in different places, seating for this could have been better. Activities included boogie boards and the hobycraft, bingo, walks, aqua fitness and yoga. The guy who did the bingo was very entertaining but can’t remember his name. The pools were quite busy even in April/May when it is shoulder season. Getting a sunbed wasn’t a problem for us as we were always up early but beds around the adults pool were always full. The sun seemed to put you in the shade about 4.15pm so getting up early was well worth it. I think there was room around the pools for more beds. Whilst we were here we had an anniversary dinner at Champers restaurant. The hotel organised a taxi for us which unfortunately didn’t turn up but after two or three trips to reception they managed to organise someone else to take us. Beautiful restaurant would highly recommend going. We also used the Silver Moon catamaran and had a great day out. As with all hotels you are going to find things that could suit your tastes more. The thing I would mention would be to vary the menu in Aqua Terra and cerulean. Perhaps change them every two or three days, so when you visit them you aren’t looking at the same food options, also the food in mahogany could be a bit hotter. I have to commend the staff in aqua terra. Their service and friendliness was much more attentive than cerulean, and the manageress more friendly. There were long delays in service at cerulean for food and drinks at times. My other mention would be a lack of seating beside any evening entertainment as there was ample space to put more seating for the comfort of guests. We would certainly return to this hotel, we loved the laid back vibe. Thanks for a great holiday. Read less

We have just returned from our third visit to the hotel, from the moment we arrived and were checked in by Kim, it felt like we were back home. The girls on reception always greeted us with a smile and a special mention to Joel from Guest Services, for checking in every day and spending time with us, even when he was off duty at the horse racing! The guest service team were always in good spirits and we were well looked after by our ambassador Deniko. We received a lovely gift on our final day and Erica sent a lovely card with such thoughtful and heartwarming words. The staff welcomed us back to the hotel and made us feel we were back home with family. While there have been a few changes with staff this did not go unnoticed as we felt some staff in the restaurants particularly Mahogany and The Flying Fish were a little slow at taking orders, clearing plates and just general guest relations. The evening staff in Cerulean and Aqua were very attentive and friendly. A special mention has to go to Brittany, who was so lovely and looked after us when she worked by the Adult Pool, she was attentive, remembered our drinks and always took the time to talk to us. We enjoyed Robert's cocktails, he was very professional and always came up with a new cocktail when I asked for a fruity rum cocktail! Every member of the restaurant management team are a credit to the hotel, they always stopped daily to check in for a hug and a chat. Alison greeted us daily with a smile and her management team including: Arden, Maria, Alison, Sharon and of course we couldn't forget Grace and the lady checking us in at the Cerulean each evening were incredibly kind and always took time out of their busy day to check in with us. Timothy and his team around the pool were always on hand to keep us smiling, who could forget Jack Sparrow! Our final mention has to go out to Tyrone, he is an absolute credit to the hotel and for being the most amazing guy/friend we could possibly have! From the moment he picked us up from the airport, he looked after us, taking us on an island tour and picking us up daily for our trips! Even when he had no transport he managed to find a way to be there, there wasn't anything that was too much for him, he went above and beyond to look after us, including when we arrived back in the UK he messaged to check in and make sure we had a safe flight home, he is just a genuinely lovely guy. See you next year! Read less

We enjoyed the quietness of the hotel and the many different 'hideouts' as we called them as there are lots of little tucked away places to rest in the evening which is lovely. We would return to this hotel in the future. Amazing balcoh views also absolutely phenomenal view over the ocean Read less
