The hotel

Little VIP touches make a stay at the boutique Sea Breeze Beach House feel all the more special. As you sink into a sun lounger, the pool and beach attendants serve cold drinks, mist you with a refreshing spritzer, and offer delicious sorbet tasters. Its 3-acre gardens and 1,000 ft stretch of silky white sands create a sense of space, while Bajan accents like palm trees, beachside dining, and rum-infused treats create a sense of island living. Families and couples can enjoy their own zones, with a space just for grownups featuring a pool, Jacuzzis and oversized loungers — a brilliant break from the buzz around the family and lap pools. Even the beach caters for all, with a lively water sports stretch and a more peaceful patch. The luxury suites are wonderfully spacious, have beautiful ocean views and extra amenities, and with two, three and four bedroom options available, you can have an All-Inclusive experience with a 'villa' feel. Whether à la carte or one of the themed buffet evenings you'll love the food, and we recommend that you don't miss the opportunity to get the sand between your toes at the 'Shoes Optional' Beach BBQ held on Sundays.

NOGO - low end 3 star resort Let's get this out of the way: The resort LIES and MISREPRESENTS itself. We booked the luxury collection (which is definitely NOT luxury) junior suite. They will try to put you in the second bedroom lockout of a two or three bedroom suite. DO NOT ACCEPT THAT for many reasons, but primarily because the noise from the lockout will drive you crazy as noise insulation is not something this hotel was ever built for. Most of the "good" rooms are in a newish part of the hotel where you will be required to stay up until 11pm almost every night because the noise from the so-called entertainment will not let you sleep. The room itself has decor from 30 years ago and furniture where some panels have been repeatedly super glued or have handles falling off and are still falling apart. So much for "luxury"... The food? Oh my is it BAD. I saw reviews on here that said it was good. These people must eat food from the garbage can if they think this food is good. Because there are only really two restaurants (again - they LIE on their website), you will be staring at the same menu every other day. After the first day, when your first entree is bad and you order a second and it's bad too, you will be left with only one more choice (chance?) at something good. They will also tell you that several items are not available. Like Sorbets. How do you run out of Sorbet for a whole week?? The staff? I don't know if it's a culture thing, but they all look upset and unfriendly. After a few days we found a few staff members who we could joke with and were friendly to us. Not to others though. I suppose if I worked at this place and had to put up with some of these people and the management, I'd be unhappy too. We were assigned an "Ambassador". Don't ask me what they are supposed to do as they never reached out to us at all. We finally met them when booking a tour and they said "Oh, I am your ambassador". You'd think now that a connection was made they'd explain what that meant or would reach out. Nope. Not even once. Upon departure we needed to store our luggage. Was any assistance provided - no. When we asked for help we were told, just take your bags over to the luggage storage area. We go there and literally it was a door with a "Luggage Storage" sign on it that you opened and put your luggage in the room. Security? None. Safe? Definitely not. I don't know about you, but I feel that's just unacceptable and what I'd expect from a 1 or 2 star property. On the positive side, the Ocean view from our balcony was very nice once we got over the broken furniture, mold, and other issues in our room. No hot water for two straight days didn't help. Unlike the folks who were in the older parts of the hotel, where their rooms were literally falling apart, we got lucky I guess. They did have top shelf liquor at some of the bars and, depending on the bartender, had no issues putting a lot in your drink. Perhaps that's why people thought the food was good - they were too drunk to realize how bad it is. The beach is really nice and not too crowded. You could always find a free chair. The pools? Well, they had a good amount of chlorine in them (which is NOT a good thing) and have large chunks of tile missing. Clearly, keeping up the facility is not high on the list. The adult pool is in the older part of the property which means more tiles missing in the pool, the pool deck feeling like it was about to collapse, and general poor upkeep. This place isn't cheap either. So, save your money, ignore the standard hotel response about being sorry you had a bad experience and they hope you give them another chance, and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. The food is a mixture of buffet and À la carte. We preferred the à la carte restaurants and the food was very good. One night, had the special, which was blackened red snapper. For lunch, we enjoyed going to the tipsy bar for tacos. The staff are very friendly and work very hard. Two staff who stood out were Kedijah and Shaquan. The grounds are kept immaculate, however quite a few of the sun loungers on the beach were broken and when it rained, the cushion on loungers and seats were soaked the next day. We were so lucky to witness baby turtles hatching on the beach. Thank-you to everyone at The Sea Breeze. Read less

We stayed here for a week early December. The service throughout our stay was exceptional - I can not understand some reviews saying it was bad! Staff were great, room was lovely, beach was amazing. The food was so good! Be warned if you are expecting pizza / chips / pasta style buffet every night - it’s not that! You will get a variety of Caribbean dishes, soups and salads. They swap à la carte / buffets across the restaurants and this is managed really well. If you do want pizza and pasta, the flying fish do these style dishes for lunch every day. My favourite meal was at the beach bbq - Jerk chicken and macaroni pie and lovely potato. I miss it already! We did go to Oistins on the Friday night using the free shuttle provided by the hotel- but we were underwhelmed. We walked to St Lawrence Gap and did an excursion on Tiami Lunch Cruise. My only small gripes are that most of the loungers on the beach were broken (I am guessing this is due the windy conditions) and the Christmas music! I know it’s the time of year but personally I’d have preferred reggae / soca / pop - anything but Christmas music! A lot of people go abroad this time of year to avoid Christmas. Enjoyed meeting Breeze the cat of course! I can not fault anything about the hotel really - we would return and perhaps stay at the sister hotel next time. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing! Read less
