The hotel

Little VIP touches make a stay at the boutique Sea Breeze Beach House feel all the more special. As you sink into a sun lounger, the pool and beach attendants serve cold drinks, mist you with a refreshing spritzer, and offer delicious sorbet tasters. Its 3-acre gardens and 1,000 ft stretch of silky white sands create a sense of space, while Bajan accents like palm trees, beachside dining, and rum-infused treats create a sense of island living. Families and couples can enjoy their own zones, with a space just for grownups featuring a pool, Jacuzzis and oversized loungers — a brilliant break from the buzz around the family and lap pools. Even the beach caters for all, with a lively water sports stretch and a more peaceful patch. The luxury suites are wonderfully spacious, have beautiful ocean views and extra amenities, and with two, three and four bedroom options available, you can have an All-Inclusive experience with a 'villa' feel. Whether à la carte or one of the themed buffet evenings you'll love the food, and we recommend that you don't miss the opportunity to get the sand between your toes at the 'Shoes Optional' Beach BBQ held on Sundays.

For the all-inclusive price paid, we were a bit disappointed as we expected better amenities, more welcoming staff, cleaner rooms and higher food quality!

Unfortunately we had a really disappointing stay at Sea Breeze. A few positives from the stay: - Food is nice and it’s refreshing to have various restaurants with a menu choice rather than constant buffets. We particularly enjoyed Tipsy and Aqua Terra restaurants - Bingo was fun and enjoyable - A handful of staff were friendly and chatty - With it being a small hotel, the children all made friends easily and played lovely together - On check in, they asked if we were there for any celebration and when I advised we were for my partners birthday - they decorated the room on his birthday with a tower of balloons which was a nice touch. - Bubbles and canopies were really nice The disappointing parts: - Check in was a slow process and having landed from a long haul flight it’s not ideal. We did get into our room at 4pm but others were still waiting at 4.45pm. Our luggage didn’t arrive for another hour later which was frustrating when wanting to get freshened up. - We instantly noticed our room smelt of cannabis. This is legal in Barbados, which is fine, but the hotel is a no smoking hotel, including the rooms, with dedicated smoking areas and a fine if you are caught smoking. We were woken at 2am by the guests above us banging around, playing loud music and then returned the cannabis smell. That morning I reported it to the reception who advised they would make the manager and security aware as the rooms are no smoking. We aired our room out as best we could. We returned to our room at 5pm to find the room smelling of cannabis again, this was again reported to reception who said they’d call to provide us an update (never received a call or voicemail) We got ready for our evening meal and just before leaving at 7pm the guests above us were on their balcony smoking cannabis. I went down to reception to report this for a 3rd time were I was told the duty manager would monitor the situation and when I requested a room change this was refused saying there was none and that the duty manager would make contact with me. We never heard from any manager or member of staff about this issue (in person/call/voicemail) and thankfully the issue resolved itself purely because the guests left. We travelled with our 5 year old daughter so having her breathe this smell in is unacceptable and when I tried to tell the staff about us having a child with us, they didn’t seem to be bothered or want to help or assist us in resolving the issue. - Everything is painfully slow. You have to plan ahead for eating and sit down about an hour earlier than you normally would if you want to eat at a reasonable time - Many members of staff are quite rude. We went to Tipsy for lunch on one day, we were told that there will be a really long wait; likely to be hours as there are many orders before us so we will be best off going to a different place to eat. We declined and still ordered, despite the staff clearly not wanting us to, and the food arrived in 25 minutes which is one of the quickest times we received food. At the pool bar, I ordered 3 meals (for 3 of us) with some chips to share and was asked, “Are you going to eat all of that?” The comment and tone was completely unnecessary. - The swimming pools ruined ours and many other guests swimming costumes, turning them yellow/brown/green. Other guests mentioned they had seen bottles of chlorine being poured into the pool with no measurements etc. so I assume this is what has caused it. - Whilst on the hotel beach, sun beds on the beach or the sun beds at the lap pool that look out to the beach - you are constantly hounded by men either trying to sell you cannabis, rub Aloe Vera plant all over your body then asking for money for the left over plant that he has put in an old whiskey bottle, trying to sell you bracelets (one guest bought and it broke 2 days later), or someone claiming to be and offering chiropractor services. It was constant unwanted pestering making you feel uncomfortable and not able to relax. There were a few other annoyances such as everyone reserving sun beds so there were none by 8.30, despite signage saying not to reserve and in the welcome letter it advises not to do so and action to remove reserved beds will take place but we didn’t see this happen all week. Housekeeping removed all of our towels and didn’t replace them so we had to chase them down to get replacements. On check out we were asked if we had a nice stay. I said it was ok but a few things had disappointed us but there were no follow up questions as to why. Read less

This was my THIRD visit and it just gets better every time. The staff is gracious, efficient and accommodating. The entertainment top notch. And the food? The only thing better than the variety is the taste. Can’t wait for next year’s visit.

What a lovely hotel not too far from the airport, on arrival check-in was quick and simple our luggage taken to our room. We liked the idea of your wrist band was also you room key. Our room was in the mahogany building it was spacious and clean and waking up to a magnificent view of the ocean every day good size balcony . All the staff were friendly and helpful always with a smile the restaurant staff working really hard. The atmosphere was really good throughout the hotel very chilled. Nice beach with loungers never had a problem with getting one it was a bit windy and the sea was quite rough. We found the food choice was pretty good and evening meals were all al a carte and you have to book them. We came back from the beach and the staff had left some balloons and a card as it was my wife's birthday Nice touch. We would certainly stay here again one of the best rooms we've had . Just a couple of things i think need addressing ,house keeping was sometimes quite late 7pm one day also beach loungers could do with some maintenance or renewed didn't stop us having a great time though keep up the good work. This is a lovely hotel. There are some small things that seem a bit tired but we had a lovely stay. The food quality and choice was good, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was kept very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is right on the beach.
