The hotel

Little VIP touches make a stay at the boutique Sea Breeze Beach House feel all the more special. As you sink into a sun lounger, the pool and beach attendants serve cold drinks, mist you with a refreshing spritzer, and offer delicious sorbet tasters. Its 3-acre gardens and 1,000 ft stretch of silky white sands create a sense of space, while Bajan accents like palm trees, beachside dining, and rum-infused treats create a sense of island living. Families and couples can enjoy their own zones, with a space just for grownups featuring a pool, Jacuzzis and oversized loungers — a brilliant break from the buzz around the family and lap pools. Even the beach caters for all, with a lively water sports stretch and a more peaceful patch. The luxury suites are wonderfully spacious, have beautiful ocean views and extra amenities, and with two, three and four bedroom options available, you can have an All-Inclusive experience with a 'villa' feel. Whether à la carte or one of the themed buffet evenings you'll love the food, and we recommend that you don't miss the opportunity to get the sand between your toes at the 'Shoes Optional' Beach BBQ held on Sundays.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Sea Breeze Beach House. Everything surpassed our expectations: the staff, the food, the pools, the activities and the property. The staff were second to none - no request was too large or small, and they were totally accommodating. The food was varied and delicious - we especially loved the breakfast buffet at the Mohagony (the overnight oats, omelettes and fresh fruit were standouts) and the fish tacos and loaded fries at the Tipsy Bar. We also loved the ice pop cart that visited twice a day. The pools were spread out over the property, and we often the lap pool and submerged lounge chairs - all of them were cleaned daily and well maintained. We enjoyed bingo, yoga, a morning stroll to town, a Hobie cat ride, boogie boarding, rum tasting, wine tasing, and really enjoyed the mixology course. The property is impeccably maintained - the resort is very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The beach had quite a bit of seaweed when we visited, but the staff was out every single morning cleaning the sand. We asked to watch a few sports after the pool bar had closed, and the staff was happy to find our games on the communal television so we could enjoy our teams. Overall, our trip was amazing and we hope to come back next year. Thank you to everyone at the Sea Breeze House! Read less

Let's start with the positives: wonderful staff, great food, adults only pool with above average loungers. Let's start with the positives: wonderful staff, great food, adults only pool with above average loungers. Now to the negatives: absolutely disgusting room (see pictures), on arrival, dirty, stained bed throw, lipstick on pillowcase, no towels, no-where to sit other than the bed, no desk chair as stated - plenty of room for a small sofa, hotel said not the right configuration for a sofa! Broken wardrobe but the worst was the bathroom, severe bubbling plaster, rotten skirting boards, no bathroom door just a sliding warped bit of ply/MDF with a drilled hole for the handle! One day there was no water in our block, no shower, no toilet etc. Pool was never cleaned in the whole time we were there, all the sides coated in thick algae. Flies over all the Mahogany restaurant food along with birds in the restaurant on tables and s******g on the bamboo partitions. One restaurant was collars only for men - sorry but no-where near classy enough to make such demands. Entertainment poor, the hotel is a little far out, no shops, bars, cafe etc nearby so a 50 dollar one way taxi fee makes for a very expensive night. If you want a quiet, very early night this is the hotel for you. Problems with mosquitoes etc, very nasty bites. Although not the fault of the hotel they don't do anything to help with the problem - they could spray every night or provide netted screens for rooms, windows, doors. Beach was very disappointing, Red flagged (bar 2 afternoons) again, not entirely the hotels fault but no explanation given as to why! I could go on and on, the only reason for the poor review is down to the cost of the holiday. Not 4.5 star, barely a 3 but that's my opinion. Read less

We stayed at Sea Breeze for 3 nights prior to our cruise. The location was very convenient for us between the airport and the cruise port. We enjoyed our 3 days here. Our room was on the ground floor so opened up to the pool where we virtually had our own sunbed. All the staff are lovely and the food was good. The only issue we had was our room wasn’t done by 7pm but after a quick phone call it was done while we were at dinner! The beach is nice but the sea was quite rough. If you want the true Caribbean calm waters you need to travel further up the coast. After our cruise we had a whole day to kill before our evening flight back to the UK. So we booked to spend our last day of the holidays back at Sea Breeze. It was so lovely to come back there and see everything so familiar to us. There is a place to store your luggage and a changing room with shower facilities etc. The Barbados people are so lovely and welcoming. Our taxi driver took us from the cruise port back to Sea Breeze and when he heard that we were getting a taxi to the airport that afternoon he insisted on coming back and taking us! Read less

The reason for my low score on room and cleanliness is as follows. The reason for my low score on room and cleanliness is as follows. We noticed on Google that the hotel underwent a $9 million upgrade in 2018; however, it would seem that Room 225 was overlooked during the refurbishment. The bathroom was very shabby. The shower fixtures were loose, and the silicone sealant around the shower door, sink, and skirting boards was, in places, black with mould and, in others, completely missing. The sink plug did not function properly, meaning that when we wanted to fill the basin, we had to use a flannel to slow the escape of water. I have never encountered a bathroom door like the one in our room—it ran on a roller and had no lock. The floorboards moved when walked upon, and the toilet ran continuously, day and night, as if the cistern could not retain water without releasing it into the bowl. We found that closing the toilet door helped to reduce the noise significantly. Additionally, the curtain rail in the bedroom had been fitted in a rather impractical way. There was no way to pull the curtain from left to right to allow full, unhindered access to the balcony. It would have been far more practical if it had been installed to open from right to left, making entry and exit much easier. I hope you take these issues as valid criticisms, with the intention that the room can be improved for future guests. It was only because the room had such a fantastic view that we chose not to raise these concerns during our stay. That said, the staff, facilities, and food truly helped make this a memorable holiday. Read less
