As Canadian travelers, we have visited many resorts over the years, and Secrets Moxché Riviera Maya truly stands out as one of the most beautiful properties we have experienced. The resort is absolutely stunning, with incredible attention to detail in the architecture, decor, and choice of materials throughout the property. From the elegant wood finishes and modern tropical design to the lush vegetation and breathtaking pools, everything creates a luxurious yet relaxing paradise atmosphere. The tropical scenery, combined with the peaceful ambiance of the resort, made our stay unforgettable. What made the experience even more special was the exceptional service from José at the breakfast buffet restaurant. Every morning, he welcomed us with genuine kindness, professionalism, and positive energy. He consistently went above and beyond to make sure guests felt comfortable and appreciated. Of course, the entire staff was very good, but José’s service truly stood out and made a real difference in our vacation experience. Employees like him are a big reason why guests return to this beautiful resort. Thank you José and thank you to the entire Secrets Moxché team for such an amazing stay. We will definitely remember this tropical paradise and hope to come back again in the future! Read less

I want to rate this resort a 10/10 but I just can’t. For context, I watched DOZENS of YouTube videos on this resort before we visited. We came for a wedding, so because wedding festivities I wasn’t able to try as a many of the restaurants as I would have liked but, maybe next time. First and foremost this resort has so much greenery, there are little lizards and birds running around and I truly felt I was in the middle of the jungle which I loved. Our hotel room didn’t have any issues - but I did hear from other people in our wedding party who had to be moved to other rooms because of mildew smells or their TV didn’t work. I also noticed little things like the metal legs of the long ottoman at the end of our bed were rusty so they made orange stains on the floor, and then (see photos) we paid for an ocean view but instead we had a view of a large empty lot which I wasn’t too happy about. Also the elevator in our tower never went to the 7th floor, so the entire vacation (5 days) we had to either take the elevator to the 8th floor and walk down the stairs one floor or take it up to 6 and walk up one floor by taking the stairs. After a couple of drinks it was very annoying. Also, it was supposed to be all-inclusive and when we called room service they were saying a bottle of champagne costed $80 for the house brand - insane. SMH. Then they said the room service would be “there in 30 minutes” and over an hour later it never arrived so we had to call them - then he came. The food was 4/10 at best on the room service. Let me be clear- all other food at the resort was really good, 10/10. The food at Seasoul was REALLY good! We wanted the opportunity to try the other restaurants, the last night we were there we went to Suki, Ember and Dos Almas and all of them had a wait of an hour or more. The pop up taco stand at the resort was really good (it reminded me of the street tacos back home in LA) and the pool bars (and bartenders) were all 10/10. Actually now that I’m thinking about it, the food at the pools was actually BETTER than the food at the sit down restaurants. Also, I needed a few feminine items and Tylenol so I went to the Pharmacy and one small bottle of Tylenol plus another item costed me $46!!!!! THATS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. That would’ve costed me no more than $12 in the U.S. at CVS. I know resort and hotel prices are high but that rubbed me the wrong way. One thing we did love was all of the pools. We got massages down at the beach and it was $50 for 1 hour, AMAZING. So those are my only complaints. All of the housekeeping and everyone on the property was very attentive and helpful (even when they didn’t speak English). We truly enjoyed dancing the night away at the Gypsy Club, and the wedding ceremony was beautiful. If Hyatt fixes those few things I’d take my review back to 10/10, but I’m giving them a 7/10.
