We stayed at Spice for 4 nights in mid August and had the most amazing stay. I would really recommend going in summer - weather was fantastic, lovely blue skies, amazing sunsets and we only had rain once on our way to the airport when we left. We often come to the Caribbean in summer when it's low season, hotels are much cheaper and the beaches are quieter, so much more affordable than Europe even with the higher flight price (and not a crowded beach in sight!). We travelled as a family of 5 and I was worried that our 2 older boys (18 and 20) might be a little bored - they really did not want to leave!! We all LOVED the beach-life, lots of lovely long walks, beautiful swimming and drinks watching the incredible sunsets. We rented a car to explore the waterfalls and national park, took a half day snorkelling trip to the underwater sculpture park and spent a lot of time swimming and relaxing in our beachfront hammock. The resort is just beautiful and you can tell it's a family-owned by how lovely everything looks, the gardens are incredibly well cared for. Our rooms stepped right onto Grand Anse beach, we had interconnecting rooms with each of our 3 older children having their own large beds in their room. The Grenadian people are so friendly and the staff at the resort cannot do enough for you. special mention to Fabian who had every single guest on the dance floor. This is a luxury resort but it is also simple, just great food, excellent service and a perfect, relaxing start to a twin centre holiday across the Caribbean. Read less

We are staying here at the moment and can not fault a single thing about the hotel or restaurant. The service is impeccable, the staff are warm, friendly and seem to do everything they can to help you have the best holiday. We were walking to dinner and the rain started - one off the gardeners ran off, and we thought it was to get somewhere dry - but he was back minutes later with a hotel umbrella for us to use. Everyone is so friendly and my husband has gone for walks outside the hotel, and said he has always felt really relaxed and welcomed. The hotel food is beyond amazing, every night there is something new to try. I am really fussy and am also allergic to fish, so it does cut down the menu selection, but they are always happy to mix the dishes - for example at lunch I had BBQ chicken with macaroni cheese from one plate and mash from another as I don’t like Callicoo which came with the chicken as standard. My husband eats mostly plant-based food, and there’s always plenty for him to choose from too. The rooms are lovely too; we have the Luxuty Almond Suite and it looks exactly as it does on their website. There is a gate and fence at the front making it very private with no areas being overlooked from other rooms. Read less
