Where is it

Set within its own lagoon in South Nilandhe Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane transfer (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Family Beach Villas with Pool are spacious and inviting, with sunrise views, floor-to-ceiling glass doors and an outdoor bathroom. There’s a large sundeck, your own stretch of beach and a private pool, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Grand Beach Villa with Pool are split-level with a bedroom and lounge with high ceilings, a king-size bed, comfy sofa, mood lighting and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to the fully-furnished terrace. Steps away from the beach, with a secluded walled courtyard hosting an outdoor bathroom, private pool, and oversized daybed and loungers. Sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Beach Residence with Pool are set over two floors, with a large lounge and expansive terrace with daybeds, loungers and a dining area. Upstairs, the bedroom has elevated lagoon views. A spectacular outdoor bathroom leads to a private pool and chill out deck. Sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

We ( 2adults, no kids) stayed at Sun Siyam Iru Veli in March 2026 for 17 nights. It was a wonderful and super perfect vacation with the outstanding and amazing staff of Iru Veli. After many vacations in the Maledives I have to mention that our ambassador Shakeeb is the best we ever had. He tried to make everything possible and surprised us every day. In the beginning he was our ambassador but at the end he was our friend. Shakeeb we are very thankful to meet you…you are an exceptional human being with a great heart and dedicated to everything what you are doing. We stayed in the beach pool villa #243 (sunrise side, 3 nights) and #208 (sunset side). Both villas have the same good large size and both villas are in good condition. We loved the outside open air bath room. Manoj has done our houskeeping. Room was super clean and every evening we got a fancy towel sculture on our bed. Manoj was a sunshine and kept our villa perfect clean and kept our fridge fully filled wth nice drinks. Beach on the sunset side is like a dream (powder white sand), large and perfect for swimming (but not for snorkeling). Sunrise side is not our favorite side because of the black wave breakers in the water. Snorkeling is better on the sunrise side. Compared to other Maledivian islands we found this snorkeling area at Iru veli not really good and small. Hopefully the reef is recovering. We went several times diving. All dive spots where really good with super nice walls, reefs and caves. Big thank to Miranda and her team, she took care of our dives and was giving us good tips what we can do. Our dive guide Shamoo was taking care of us during our dives and explained us a lot of the dives/reef/animals. We felt everytime very safe and had big fun with Shamoo and the team of the dive boat. Due to different reasons the main restaurant Aqua Orange was closed for dinner for the whole week (only opened one day per week for Maledivian Roots Dinner). Management was really helpful and made it possible that we got every evening an wonderful and super tasty dinner at restaurant Roma. Every evening we where surprised by the chief cook Damith and Pathmashri with different curries and other maledivian/sri lankan dishes. These super delightful dinners with amazing food made our vacation extraordinary. At Roma restaurant Dhilsan took care about us every evening. This was a 6 star service done with a big heart. Dhilsan is highly dedicated to his job and it was our pleasure to talk with him every day. Dhilsan is really an outstanding person whom you maybe meet only once in your lifetime. Every day we enjoyed the sunset at the adult bar Freshwater. Sheilish created super tasty cocktails for us and took care of us. We also joined the Teppanyaki dinner with the funny cook Ray. Ray is also a really good singer. Lobster barbecue dinner at the beach with live music was also a nice event what we can recommend. Overall we had a perfect vacation at Iru veli and the the team of Iru Veli made it outstanding and special for us. We definitely recommend everyone to go there. Read less

Excellent resort. Very helpful and friendly staff particularly Naazish. Peaceful and relaxing. Room cleaned twice daily. Great food. Snorkelling was superb. 10/10 Extra time spent due to Middle East War but every effort was made to help.

We had 11 glorious night at this wonderful resort, the location was perfect with crystal clear waters, the atmosphere was perfect having live music/singing and a DJ/Disco in the evenings. The view from the room of the sea was second to none, all areas of the resort was clean, room was kept spotless by Uzzal who ran our bath filled with petals and gave us extras of everything we needed. Shuhaan, our Ambassador was very attentive and catered to all our needs including bringing us gifts from his native island in the Maldives. Although, this is a family friendly resort, we felt as a couple that there were lots of areas to eat and drink that were 'adults only' therefore we were undisturbed by families and their small children. Sun Siyam Iru Veli has all the amenities, there is no need to go to the mainland, go shopping and do anything else than what you want to do and if that is to relax, which is what we wanted, this was the place. We also visiting the Spa and got our treatment on two occasions and Ambika and team are true professionals, best massage we've had to date. I would definately return to this resort. Read less

Breakfast ,lunch and dinner at the Aqua Orange was self service and a full variety of dishes. Grouper grill and Roma which was included in the package you could not fault. We paid for the Lobster BBQ and Teppanyaki , the BBQ which was all set up on the beach and the food was excellent, and so was the Teppanyaki . On the last night we paid for the ‘Dine by Design’ it was expensive but what a wonderful night, a private table on the beach with two members of staff , one cook and one waiter and they set up a cooking station a few yards away. I want to make a special thank you to our ambassador Shakeeb who was excellent and too Muna who served us at breakfast every morning. Read less
