From the moment we boarded the seaplane in Malé, we knew this was going to be special. The 40-minute seaplane journey followed by a short 5-minute boat ride felt like the perfect prelude to what awaited us. Stepping onto the jetty, we were greeted with warm smiles, cool towels and an immediate sense that we were somewhere truly exceptional.
We were assigned our personal host, Sharyaan, who made check-in seamless and escorted us to our Sunset Ocean Water Villa. Friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to help, he was available to book restaurants and excursions for us. We had already downloaded the resort app and pre-booked our à la carte dining and excursions before arrival (highly recommend doing this), but it was lovely knowing he was there if needed. Each day he sent a WhatsApp message detailing the resort’s events and activities — such a thoughtful touch.
Our Sunset Ocean Water Villa was simply breathtaking. A private pool overlooking endless turquoise waters, direct access to incredible snorkelling from our own sun deck, and the most spectacular sunset views every evening. The villa was serviced twice daily, and everything was kept immaculate.
A very special mention must go to our housekeeper, Tharindu. Truly outstanding. Always smiling, incredibly attentive, and ensuring everything was absolutely perfect. He shared stories about the resort, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and made us feel genuinely cared for.
The villa itself was beautifully appointed: • Spacious bath and walk-in shower
• Quality toiletries
• Iron and ironing board
• Cable TV
• Safe and hairdryer
• Minibar (wine, beers, soft drinks) restocked daily
• Tea and coffee facilities
• A good-sized, firm yet comfortable bed
The deck featured a dining table and chairs, sofa, two sun loungers, retractable washing line, and plenty of beach towels — everything thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience.
We opted for the all-inclusive package, and it was absolutely worth it. It included branded spirits, champagne, prosecco, cocktails and wines, plus the dine-around option covering the two à la carte restaurants and the main buffet restaurant. The food quality and variety were excellent throughout our stay. The buffet even has an adults-only seating area, and there’s also an adults-only bar — perfect for a peaceful sunset drink.
The Teppanyaki restaurant is chargeable extra but worth considering for a special evening. There’s also a spa, small medical centre, souvenir and jewellery shops, and a dive centre where you can collect snorkel gear and fins for your stay. Non-motorised water sports are included in the all-inclusive package, while motorised options are available at an additional cost.
The resort itself is stunning — beautiful, laid-back luxury with that effortless Maldivian charm. But what truly makes this place extraordinary is its people. The warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality of the staff elevate the entire experience.
So many deserve recognition, but a few who stood out for us were Tharindu, Matey, Salad, Rhiyad, Aye, Ibrahim, Keshal, Pooja and Zeday (Housekeeping Executive), who personally asked for feedback and suggestions for his team and even gifted me a beautiful personalised beach bag — such a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the culture of care here.
This wasn’t just a holiday; it was an experience filled with warmth, luxury and heartfelt service. A truly fabulous resort that we would return to in a heartbeat. 🌴
