Board basis options

Half Board option: includes breakfast and dinner at Show. For guests booked in Tamassa Rooms, get a 20% discount at Playa for lunch and dinner. Discount applicable on food only

Full Board option: includes breakfast at Show, lunch and dinner at either Show or Playa. For guests booked in Tamassa Rooms, get a 20% discount at Playa for lunch and dinner. Discount applicable on food only. At B Bar food only is included in the meal plan basis

Superior Rooms are set within the resorts gardens and have 1 queen-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Ocean Superior Rooms sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 teen or 1 child or 1 baby.

Beach Rooms have beachfront access, iHome radio with USB music dock, and coffee plunger, with 1 queen-size bed plus rollaway bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Tamassa Family Room feature bunk beds and a miniature bathroom, suitable for kids, sleeping 2 adults and 1 teen and 2 children, or 2 adults and 3 children or 2 children and 1 baby.

Family Suites are interconnecting, with 1 king-size bed, plus bunk beds in a separate, small air-conditioned room with its own toilet, sleeping maximum 6 adults or 4 adults and 2 teens or 2 children.

Show Restaurant (open kitchen and buffet breakfasts and dinners). Playa Restaurant (à la carte lunch and dinner on the beach). B-Bar (all-day poolside drinks and lunches, with TV screen), Burger Truck (lunchtime burgers and snacks) and ice cream parlour (open during lunchtimes).

Jalsa resort nightclub - the very first to open in the South of the island (open Wed, Sat. Opening days/hours are subject to change). Outdoor cinema (twice per week, weather permitting, available only at Studio 17 teen club).

I recently stayed at Tamassa for two nights to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the hospitality was exceptional. Every member of the team—from the Guest Relations Officer to the waiters and housekeeping staff—was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely focused on every little detail to make our stay memorable. We did initially have a complaint about the first room we were assigned, but it was handled very quickly and efficiently by the team. Our concern was taken seriously, and as a result, we were given a lovely room upgrade, which we truly appreciated. One thing that really stood out to me was how every guest was treated with the same level of care and respect. In some hotels, you can sometimes notice a difference in how Mauritians and foreign tourists are treated. At Tamassa, however, everyone is welcomed equally, and that made us feel truly valued. The team went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special. My table was beautifully decorated for my birthday dinner, our room was filled with thoughtful birthday touches, a bottle of champagne was offered, and they even prepared a flower-filled bathtub for me. Every surprise was carefully planned and made the celebration unforgettable. Thank you to the entire Tamassa team for creating such wonderful memories. Coming to the staff - We went with a baby and on the initial night we faced a mosquito problem. Probably common in that area. The staff promptly sprayed mosquito repellent for us. We also asked if we can get a better room since we have a baby and mosquitos can be an issue. The hotel customer relationship manager Yuvna promptly helped us in everything and actually got us a room upgrade. She checked multiple times if all is well on whatsapp and in person. I love the effort they out in customer happiness There are lot of free activities like sauna, steem, boating, games etc. Some things that were not that great - The food has variety but the taste was nothing memorable - The reception sometimes did not pick up calls. We enjoyed the delicious food in both restaurants and all the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. Our six-year old daughter's favourite was the Tam Tam Kid's Club with so many nice activities offered and wonderful caregivers: it was her highlight. She felt very happy, safe and treasured by her caregivers, especially Hrasha, although our daughters English isn't so well.
