The resort gets all the big things right: -Excellent location -Beautiful grounds -Good size room -Excellent food -The staff were very helpful -Very few biting insects -Good wifi -Aircon worked well -Free kayaks -The massages at the spa were very good. The biggest annoyance was the drinking water. We were supposed to get 2 bottles of drinking water delivered per day. But this was incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes we had to phone reception 3 times before it turned up. We complained several times, but it was never really sorted out. This is a bit of an issue in a climate where it is easy to get dehydrated. We gave up and bought some bottled water from a shop. Minor quibbles: -Our room often wasn't cleaned until 4pm or 5pm, even when we put out the 'please clean' sign at 9am. Not a big deal, but inconvenient. I'm sure the room cleaners were working hard, perhaps they just need a few more. -Our room door didn't lock properly. But this was fixed quickly when we raised the issue. -We didn't have any hot water for a shower one afternoon. But this was fixed quickly when we raised the issue. -We had a couple of power outages, but they only lasted a minute or two. -Great idea to have juices on the beach. But there were almost never any cups to drink them from. -The ice cream from the bar was icy and not very good (the ice cream from the buffet was much nicer). -The drinks were expensive (about £6 for well under a pint of local beer). Also there didn't seem to be any beers on offer, apart from Phoenix. Overall we had a great time despite these quibbles. A couple of tips: *DO NOT WALK IN THE LAGOON WITH BARE FEET* Better still - don't walk on the bottom at all, swim. I was reliably informed that there are Stone Fish in the lagoon. Standing on one in bare feet could be the last thing you ever do. Also there is lots of coral and sea urchins. These are a lot less dangerous, but you don't want to stand on them in bare feet either. I think the hotel should do more to warn people to wear footwear in the sea or, better still, not walk on the bottom. The only restaurants in walking distance are on the resort and neighbouring resorts. So I recommend going half or full board. Read less

Hotel is able a lot and it is in beautiful grounds. Staff are always trying hard to keep guests happy. The restaurant is of a good standard offering a huge number of options. Leena is in charge of customer services and she tries very hard to make sure you are happy with your stay at the hotel
