This was our first time to mauritius and all i can say is WOW, Tamassa resort was absolutely amazing, so attentive and more than happy to attend to all our needs, the food at the buffet was fabulous but the ala carte restaurant was unbelievable , we got invited by Sid the entertainment manager to a taster menu with all hotel management 😋 which was outstanding, the maldivian night with street food was just our style , the beach is clean and not busy at all, all the pools, gardens and resort are kept immaculate, i have to say we were treated like royalty, special thank you to chef Viki so sorry if i spelt that wrong, he made us a special leaving meal on our last day with 3 different curries which was amazing, i had a 90 min massgae which was part of my birthday presant which was well needed, and the therapist was absolutely fabulous taking time to focus on areas i needed, im not very good at remembering names but all of you that work at Tamassa i would just like to say thank you so much for our welcome and hospitality WE WILL BE BACK SOON i promise. We arrived late in the evening and unfortunately the room we were assigned was in need of a face-lift and we spent over an hour trying to get rid of the numerous mosquitos throughout the room. At breakfast a hotel representative on hearing about our concerns arranged for us to be moved to another room that same day. The new room was better renovated and free of mosquitos. Apart from that experience we appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, enjoyed the excellent food and service at the a la carte restaurant (where we dined every night) and appreciated the lovely beach and the beach chairs that were numerous and always available. Our stay at Tamassa Bel Ombre was truly memorable and one of the best resort experiences we have had. The resort is beautifully and tastefully designed, with every corner offering something unique and picturesque. The spectacular views, multiple swimming pools, beautifully maintained lawns, dedicated play areas, and especially the complimentary water activities provided by the resort made the experience even more special. A special mention to Jigisha, who welcomed us warmly with her calm and soothing demeanour. She explained everything thoroughly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing holiday. The kids thoroughly enjoyed every part of the resort, and the beach access was undoubtedly a highlight. Watching the fish come right up to the shore and being able to snorkel there was an amazing experience. The resort also organised separate snorkelling trips to other locations depending on the weather conditions, along with a wonderful glass-bottom boat ride that was an absolute treat to the eye. All the staff members at the resort were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely interested in guest comfort, always greeting everyone with warm smiles. The burger food truck was another standout feature, and the option to enjoy a candlelight dinner by the beach added a beautiful touch to the overall experience. Tamassa is truly a place that cannot be fully explored in just one visit. We left with wonderful memories and will definitely be returning again. Read less
