The breakfast was incredible, I think better than 7 years ago, with added smoothies, and a choice from the menu rather than buffet style breakfast. The staff really spoiled us as we were celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary, cake and a bottle of champagne in our upgraded room. The gardens are clean and tidy and the staff work so hard to keep it that way. We seemed to have the Adult pool all to ourselves most days but plenty of options to enjoy beach or pool. It was a quiet time so only one restaurant open each night but the food was really nice, my favourite was the cove menu….. Would like to thank all the staff especially the front desk who helped my daughter book a surprise sunset cruise for my husband and myself on our last night…. Read less

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Blue Waters Our five-day stay at Blue Waters Resort & Spa was truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The resort was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and the level of service and attention throughout our stay was outstanding. What impressed us most was the way the team genuinely listened to our requests and continuously followed up to make sure that we and our family were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Nothing felt like “just another request”; everything was taken seriously and handled with care and professionalism. A very special thank you goes to Nicole, who looked after us throughout the entire five days. She was constantly checking on us, following up on our requests, and making sure that everything was taken care of. Her kindness, personal attention, and genuine concern for our comfort made a real difference to our experience. We would also like to sincerely thank Chef Michael, who took exceptional care of all our dining requirements. He personally followed up with us, prepared a special meal plan for our family, and made every effort to accommodate our preferences. His attention and flexibility made us feel genuinely valued as guests. For us, this level of personal care says a great deal about Blue Waters. A truly refined resort is not defined only by its beautiful location or facilities, but by how seriously it listens to its guests and how much effort it makes to accommodate their individual needs. This is something we experienced at Blue Waters at a level we have rarely, if ever, found elsewhere. Our sincere thanks to Nicole, Chef Michael, and the entire Blue Waters team for making our family holiday so memorable. We leave Antigua with wonderful memories and very much hope to return in the future — not just once, but for many more visits. Thank you, Blue Waters, for an exceptional stay. Read less

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Blue Waters. 2 adults and our 5 year old, we had a deluxe beachfront room. Room was lovely, the view and the hotel grounds were stunning. If she was much older though id opt for a cove suite as it would be a little snug. Our daughter enjoyed the childrens club, the ladies in there were fantastic (Tiffany and Abigail). We ate at the cove numerous times and it was our favourite, the food and service were great and the views spectacular. Breakfast at the Palm was good and Derah in particular was fantastic and so welcoming. We usually had lunch at the reef which was also great. All of the restaurant staff were great at understanding eating with little ones (they would always put her order in immediately so she wasn't waiting). We did have one disappointment where our final night was our wedding anniversary, and only one restaurant was open (The Palm) and they were doing a buffet. We spoke with Cameron the Food and Beverage Manager who then arranged a special private dinner overlooking the ocean for us instead and it was superb. Overall, fantastic service, stunning location and great food. Read less

Blue Waters was MAGICAL. We traveled with our two small boys and stayed in one of the luxury suites, and I truly cannot say enough about how much we loved this vacation. The layout of the resort is perfection, especially with young kids. Everything is close and easy to get to. There is an area near one of the larger pools where the beach, pool, bar, and restroom are all within a super short walk of each other. This may sound like a small thing, but with two little kids, it was HUGE. Our suite was also in the perfect location. We had access to a smaller, almost private pool that was shared with only a handful of other guests in our building. We would spend the morning and early afternoon at the larger resort pools and beach, head back to the room for naptime, and then literally walk right outside for a late-afternoon swim before getting ready for dinner. It was SO easy and relaxing. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the food was fantastic. The seafood was so incredibly fresh and delicious that it may ruin seafood back home for you! The staff overall was incredibly kind and welcoming. We did have a couple of interactions with staff members who weren't quite as friendly, but honestly, they were easy to overlook given how spectacular everything else was. One unexpected part of the trip that we absolutely loved was meeting so many guests from the UK. I'm American and didn't realize before our trip that Blue Waters is owned by a UK family, and there were quite a few British families and couples staying at the resort. Getting to know them genuinely made the trip for us. We met some wonderful people and had so much fun with them. I could go on and on. We made so many core memories here, and I cannot wait to return one day. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Blue Waters. If this resort has made your short list, BOOK IT! I came to Antigua with a very specific vision: to host Unplug • Unwind • Unwrap, an intimate leadership retreat designed around something I believe deeply—rest as strategy. Although I was at Blue Waters for business, this was intentionally not a traditional business retreat. We gathered accomplished leaders who spend their lives building organizations, serving communities, caring for families, leading teams and carrying significant responsibility. We wanted to create an environment where they could step away from constant output long enough to breathe, restore, reflect and gain clarity about what comes next. Blue Waters Resort & Spa became more than the location. Their team became partners in creating the experience. Our retreat included daily breathwork and reflection guided by Rich Mancuso of BSRNow.com, whose sessions overlooking the Caribbean helped our leaders slow down, reconnect with themselves and begin each day with intention. We also experienced a wonderful Food as Medicine workshop with registered dietitian Stacey Woodson, MS, RDN, LDN, of StaceyWoodson.com, exploring nourishment, health, culture, joy and sustainable performance. And this is where Blue Waters truly distinguished itself. Carla, whose roots on the island brought an authentic Antiguan perspective to our experience, helped transform our Food as Medicine programming and international cuisine experience into something richer. Food became more than a meal—it became culture, connection and part of the curriculum. Chef Michael and the culinary team beautifully supported our curated group dining. Some of the most meaningful moments of the retreat happened around those tables—learning, laughing, reflecting and simply being together. And then there was Nicole—the consummate concierge. When you are responsible for a curated group experience, the person who can anticipate needs, understand the larger vision and quietly solve logistical details is invaluable. Nicole helped us navigate transportation, timing, experiences and the countless details that allow a retreat host to remain present with guests rather than constantly managing operations. Behind the experience was an administrative team that worked through an extraordinary number of moving pieces with us. Trisha, Eddison, Kevin the GM, Cameron, and so many members of the Blue Waters family whose names I unfortunately cannot capture here, contributed to making our stay memorable. What surprised me most, however, was how beautifully Blue Waters accommodated the different reasons people come to Antigua. I was there for business. My 91-year-old mother, who was born in Antigua, was there with me. My husband was there. Our 8- and 12-year-old children were there. Our retreat guests were there. And somehow, none of those experiences felt incompatible. That is one of Blue Waters' greatest strengths. The resort strikes an exquisite balance. I could imagine coming here as a solo traveler seeking quiet and restoration. I could imagine returning with my husband for an intimate couples escape. I experienced it as a multigenerational family traveling with a 91-year-old elder and young children. And I now know firsthand that it can serve as an exceptional setting for a thoughtfully curated group or leadership retreat. There is room for activity and room for stillness. Room for community and room for solitude. Room for children to experience joy and for adults to exhale. Room for business conversations without making the experience feel like work. That mattered tremendously to me because part of what I wanted my children to witness was a different model of leadership. I want them to understand that leadership is not measured by exhaustion. That ambition and rest can coexist. That purpose and family can coexist. That health, nourishment, reflection, joy and meaningful work do not have to compete with one another. At Blue Waters, we didn't simply talk about rest as strategy. We practiced it. We breathed. We rested. We learned. We ate beautifully. We experienced Antigua. We laughed. We reflected. We unplugged, unwound and unwrapped. And the extraordinary natural setting made all of that possible—but the people made it memorable. I have experienced beautiful properties around the world. Beautiful surroundings alone do not create extraordinary hospitality. People do. To Nicole, Carla, Chef Michael, Trisha, Addison, Kevin, Cameron, and the many people working quietly behind the scenes: thank you for caring for our guests, my family and the vision we brought to Antigua. My mother was able to experience this on the island where her story began. My children were able to witness their grandmother's homeland while watching adults model a healthier way of leading. And our guests were given space to put down some of what they carry every day. That is difficult to quantify. I arrived at Blue Waters with a business objective and a retreat vision. I left with deep gratitude, renewed courage and memories across three generations of my family. Whether you are traveling alone, reconnecting as a couple, bringing your family, or creating an intimate curated group experience, Blue Waters has an unusual ability to give each traveler room for the experience they came to Antigua to have. Some resorts give you a beautiful place to stay. Blue Waters gave us a beautiful place to become still enough to remember what matters. Blue Waters will forever be part of our Antigua story. Read less
