The Escape at Nonsuch Bay Resort in Antigua is a modern adult-only, All-Inclusive getaway, perfect for couples. While a part of the larger Nonsuch Bay Resort complex, Escape Antigua is located on the other side of the hill which is out of sight and at least a quarter of a mile away from the Residences section of the resort. The Escape features its own fine-dining restaurant, reception, lounge and other public facilities. All meals are provided exclusively at the Drift restaurant located at Escape.

Located at Hughes Point, on the beautiful Nonsuch Bay on the East Coast of Antigua. Transfer time from airport: 40 minutes.

Hotel information

40 luxury ocean front plunge pool suites designed with comfort, romance and island living in mind. Each suite is designed with a king-sized bed, along with an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and double vanity basins. The suites also feature an elegant wet bar/coffee centre, along with a seating area perfectly aligned to the views, an outdoor soaking tub and relaxing day beds overlooking the private plunge pool. Available with either a garden view or a bay view, sleeping 2 adults.

All Inclusive of: all meals, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. All activities and entertainment unless otherwise stated.

Deluxe Plunge Pool Suite - available to book from the 1st July 2025. Suites offer better views and locations than the Garden Views with access to additional amenities.

The Drift Restaurant & Bar is opened for cocktails, breakfast, lunch, and dinner as apart of the All-Inclusive package.

Guests can also use the beach and beach bar located at the Residences section of the resort. Complimentary Wi-Fi in rooms and in the lobby reception. Pre-arrival contactless check-in system, allowing guests to skip the check-in line and focus on enjoying their stay.

There is a mandatory Tourism Guest Levy for all guests over the age of 6 of $5 per person, per night, (payable locally on departure, subject to change).

Staff was very friendly & accommodating; especially Enrique at the beach bar, and Micah & Shanea (sorry I hope I got your name right!) at dinning. Kiara checked us in and assisted us through out stay, she was a delight! Room was clean and cooled well. As pictured. This is definitely an escape; not too crowded and is away from the city.

When we went to breakfast one of the ladies in the restaurant recognised me and came running over to give me a hug. Thank you Maxine and Ivana are great. Nothing was too much for any of the lovely staff. Only things to point out pool area could really do with some updating. So we only go to the beach. Think the rooms could be updated. Room cleaning every other day. It is very clean and even the room maid recognised us. The atmosphere is great we have met some lovely guest and we keep in touch. The best things about it are, Quiet location, small, adults only, staff, food. We love this place. Read less

My husband and I went to the Escape for our 25th wedding anniversary this month! It was a peaceful and lovely trip! We both want to go back! The staff work so hard to provide all the services that the resort offers. To the management, please hire more staff. They work so hard, and we could tell that this weighs on them at times. However we do remember several staff members that went above and beyond their job requirements: Maxine in the restaurant is so upbeat and friendly! She hugged us on our last day! I miss her so much!!!!! Merilissa was an amazing waitress too; so kind and personable!! Charles at the bar always had a smile and is such a wonderful person and makes the best drinks! Also, Kienandra was a great bartender and it was so nice talking to her and learning about places we should visit on the island, and her drinks were amazing too! She told us that Jolly Harbor is her favorite beach! We went there and fell in love with it! Dave, the captain was a blast as he took us to Green Island, and his nephew who guided us on our snorkeling adventure was so fun and knowledgeable!!! Keriah at the front desk was always so cheery and helpful!! Bring cash to tip your staff! They work so hard and are amazing people so take the time to get to know them! Do the resort extras to pamper yourself: breakfast in the room, floating meal options in the room, island picnic, snorkeling, etc.! So amazing!! One note: when you book extras, double check the day before to ensure they have it scheduled accurately. Their system is glitchy and messed up one of our breakfast in bed days. We rented a car because the resort is secluded but all of the Antigua’s fabulous sites are within driving distance! The roads are not always the best with serious pot holes, so spend the extra money for a SUV and drive slow and you’ll be fine! Our favorite places: Halfmoon Bay/Long Bay/Jolly Harbor/Nelson’s Dock Yard/Shirley’s Height/ Betty’s Hope/Devil’s Bridge/Darkwood Beach! Drink the rum punch, sit on the dock, or poolside! A wonder ESCAPE in a beautiful setting! I must say the reviews were helpful when booking and the resort itself portrays things exactly as you will find them when you go! It’s not a five star resort, it only has one restaurant (the portions appear small but are actual proper portions unlike what we get served here in the US) and there isn’t access to food 24/7, there is not a front desk person 24/7 either and the bar closes at 10:30. But what you do get is an amazing environment to enjoy the company of your partner and the fabulous people you meet because it is so private, quaint, and beautiful there! We both want to go back!!!
