Escape is a wonderful place. The room was clean and very comfortable with wonderful views of the bay and the stunning sunset. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Maxine, who was always smiling and friendly and asking about our day. Also Shanea who looked after us so well when we had our private dinner. Agatha was warm and friendly and Kiandra made the most wonderful cocktails. Enrique was a welcome sight at the beach bar making sure we were kept hydrated! Keirah and Randy were so helpful, arranging taxis and tours and boat trips for us. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The food was amazing, the best food we have ever experienced on holiday. Everything fresh and cooked to order and the barbecue night a real highlight. Overall, this has been an amazing holiday on a beautiful island, in a wonderful resort with kind and friendly staff. If you want to a quieter resort offering fantastic value for money, then I urge you to choose Escape at Nonsuch Bay.

Less than 80 guests in total. All inclusive food and drinks. Not buffet. Friendly staff. Short small boat ride to the beach or steep hill walk if you’re fit enough!! $65 taxi to get anywhere. 110v so doesn’t recharge your toothbrush !!

Only go to The Escape if you want isolation--no shops, restaurants, crowds are anywhere near...which we liked. Quiet and peaceful. 2/3 of the guests seemed like retirees; the other 2/3 appeared to be honeymooners. We rented a car for a day and visited Nelson's Dockyards and Half Moon Beach (recommend); otherwise we stayed at the resort and chilled. Recommend the island picnic and the sunset cruise. The food was probably the worst part: very limited selection, not creatively prepared...but you aren't going there for the food. Feels like you're at someone's private retreat vs. your average hotel. People complained about mosquitoes in previous reviews, but I only got one bite because we went back to our rooms when the sun set, which is when the bugs come out. The concierge was extremely helpful when our return ride to the airport got messed up--arranged a ride for us that got us there in time, at no extra cost to us. Best suggestion: understand why you're going--not for social atmosphere, but tranquility.
