I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this trip. The room and resort were beautiful, the grounds were nicely kept, the food was delicious, everyone was kind. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this trip. The room and resort were beautiful, the grounds were nicely kept, the food was delicious, everyone was kind. Disclaimer: this is a peaceful environment to RELAX. If you’re looking for a party place where you’re drinking by 8am and eating till you’re sick, this is not the place for you. Meals are at scheduled times from 7am to 10pm and follow a restaurant menu style; not a buffet. I never felt like I didn’t have enough to eat. There are daily boat shuttles that take you to and from the beach. It is about a 10 minute walk mostly uphill should you choose. I am young and fit. If you do not identify with those words please wait for the shuttle and spare the staff your complaints. The beaches were clean and swimmable and I did not notice any seaweed issues. You can also swim right off of the dock of the resort. They offer shuttle services for nearby activities and can also schedule you a private shuttle if you want to go off on your own. I would definitely come back. Read less

Shower was open and large but it had little power. The pool was a lovely am/pm dip. The restaurant was disappointing nothing at all for a vegan and very limited. We decided to walk to the beach which was a big deal on day 1. By day 3 we had the walk and caught the boat back to the hotel at 4 30pm. There is a wonderful restaurant on the beach which has everything delicious to try and feast on. This was a highlight. Read less

Notes: Couple traveling for vacation with a 4-night stay. Summary: If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay away from it all - this is your place. Note that this comes with some downsides, but overall, a positive experience. The staff did an amazing job with the New Year's Party we were around for. Pros: Very quiet, you won't run into people everywhere, minimal vehicle traffic, and the room itself is amazing with the individual plunge pool and great view. WiFi was free and was reasonably fast. Meals were very good (see note about selections) Cons: Some of the all-inclusive features you may find lacking, with staff overlapping the bar, restaurant and other duties. Limited housekeeping Recommendations: 1. Grab towels when you can (the beach towels go quickly) 2. Make a reservation for the boat over to the beach (unless you want to walk up a steep hill) 3. Try out the kayaks, but don't go into the bay too far (wastewater runoff, disgusting) 4. Bring bug spray 5. Bring snorkel gear if you have it...there are some great fish in the beach area Warnings: 1. The meals were all very good, but there isn't a lot of food offered, and the menu is limited with two items for lunch and dinner. 2. Housekeeping is only done every other day...making your own bed isn't fun on vacation 3. The front desk staff isn't always around, so catch them when you can 4. There is nothing anywhere close to the resort, so if you want snacks or other food etc. best to bring it 5. When leaving Antigua, get to the airport early...it was an absolute $hit show... Read less
