Reading some people’s reviews on here can always be interesting, pay 50p and expect 5 star luxury and complain, become beach managers and know how to manage sea weed. Have just returned from Nonsuch. It’s not 5 star, correct; It’s not meant to be. Yes, the private beach has seaweed. Yes, it’s in middle of nowhere. But if any of that is a problem, then that’s yours. Nonsuch is brilliant. We loved it. From the second we arrived, we were greeted with big smiles and polite service, everything was explained to us. We stayed in a garden room, it is exactly as they show on their website and numerous photos on here. The bed is massive, think the Mrs enjoyed the space! The plunge pool is a really good size, if there were two couples in your party, maybe three, you’d still be comfortable sharing. We didn’t do a floating meal, although wish we had. It’s all inclusive but has a menu, every night we enjoyed and found something we liked. It’s 2/3 starters and mains, so some may struggle, but they seemed to have a back up for those who didn’t like what’s on offer. It’s quiet in the evening, they have musicians a few nights a week but it’s background. If you want a busy/noisy evening, this isn’t for you. I can see why the guys behind the bar get named and the attention, but all the staff were brilliant. To anyone who says US service is the best. Try here. Polite, chat if you want, smiles, happy and not chasing tips for any so called service. Cocktails on and off the menu. This friendly attitude was repeated across Antigua. I’ve seen some reviews saying service at meals was varied, I can almost see what they’re saying. One night felt slow but then again a three course meal was still complete in an hour! We booked a few taxis through the hotel, having checked online beforehand, each fare was in line with what we were expecting so didn’t feel overcharged and each trip went without any hassle nor worries about getting ripped off when out and about. Around the pool always sun beds available, though most aren’t in full sun until after lunch if this worries you. The private beach is ten minute walk, or a few shuttles ran during day. It was deserted. Think we had six people most on one day. There are two sides and both nice. Yes, lots of sea weed currently, but the team cleared each day so beach was clear. Yes, the water still had some in. There is currently a massive “boom” to prevent more coming in, which clearly helps and held loads back. Although I was at the bar on our penultimate day only for barman to point out it had just broke! Yet even then, the next morning they’d secured main part and boom was still working. If I’m trying to be critical, I would’ve liked a bit more Caribbean food ok the menu. In our room you can see a few brush marks where walls have been touched up probably a little crudely. Sometimes service at the bar was slightly slow - maybe could’ve had another person, but we were in an off peak period so sure a balance of staff and sometimes if a few couples order cocktails, it is what it is. And finally, as it’s so small it doesn’t take much for some lairy Yanks to take over the bar and seating area with their noise. Although as so close to the US I understand you’ll find this anyway around Caribbean. And to me if that’s the issues, then how can I complain? For the money paid, the service, food, room, pool all I can do is say how amazing this place was for us. Try it. Read less

The area is secluded, the staff are accommodating, professional, and kind. Be prepared to secure a cab ahead of time. You can also contact the resort to help set up transportation to excursions. The dive pools are exactly as pictured and the food was delicious. That being said we visited around the off season. If you are looking for a quiet,… Read more

My husband and I had a wonderful time! The hotel is a quiet, secluded boutique hotel, not very large just around 40 rooms..BUT...the experience is wonderful. All rooms have a private plunge pool, and even the garden view ones are great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and nicely appointed with a modern feel. The beds are king size and comfortable. The food is good, the bar is good, and the staff make you feel welcome and are very attentive. The only thing keeping me from giving a full perfect score, is that I wish there was at least one additional dining option, and maybe a golf cart service to your room would be needed sometimes. But over all, it was a great experience. We will be repeat guests! Michelle Anthony Read less
